When the two men with heavy hearts went upstairs and arrived at the crime scene, Tang Ze was directing the surrounding scientific research personnel to take photos and collect evidence.
"Lift yourself up."
After patting the back, Tang Ze asked his men to lift Inspector Kakuta's body and check the situation before standing up.
"There were two parts of the body hit by bullets, and both bullets caused penetrating damage." Tang Ze frowned.
Inspector Megure's heart began to sink as he listened to what Karasawa said.
He had already received Karasawa's contact before, but because Minister Kakuta's death caused chaos in the criminal group, Inspector Megure had to stay in charge and issue various orders first.
Of course, this was also because Tang Ze was in charge of the situation upstairs, so he felt confident in handing this important matter over to him.
Otherwise, even if there was a commotion, he would have come up to take charge of the situation immediately, instead of waiting until now to stabilize the situation and then come up to check the situation.
Looking at Kakuda Michihiro's body, Megure took off his hat and closed his eyes in silence for his comrade. He then opened his eyes and looked at Tang Ze: "Has the trajectory of the bullet been determined?"
This is his biggest concern.
After learning from Karasawa that Inspector Kakuta might have been killed by him by mistake, he has been worried, and now it is time to announce the results after investigation.
"The bullet's location has been determined."
Tang Ze walked to the wall where the window was, and after the forensic personnel took photos and collected evidence, they had someone hand him the square for removing the bullet.
This square is like a clamp with a scale in the middle, which can be used to measure the size of the bullet while taking it out.
Although it is of little use to Tang Ze, who is familiar with guns, it is still a convenient tool.
"9mm bullet, the same caliber as the Smith & Wesson pistol." Tang Ze's words made everyone present change their expressions.
Glancing at Inspector Megure's gloomy expression, Nanatsuki hesitated for a moment before cautiously speaking, "This seems to be the service gun of our detectives."
"Yes, judging by the trajectory of the bullet, it seems our men were standing at the entrance of this corridor and shot at Yakushiji, who was standing by the window at the end of the corridor."
Tang Ze nodded, stood up and said, "But unfortunately, for some reason, the bullet hit Inspector Kakuta in the middle of the corridor instead of the enemy. That's why Inspector Kakuta was shot in the back.
Judging from the gunshot wounds on the body, another bullet penetrated Inspector Kakuta from the front."
As he spoke, Tang Ze walked towards the entrance of the corridor and used his super sense of smell to discover a small hole made by a gun muzzle on one of the stacked beer boxes.
"Here's another bullet."
Taking out the beer can from above, Tang Ze found the bullet that had finally lost its power and lay inside the beer can and identified it: "7.62mm, caliber 30, the guy from Yakushiji was holding a Togarev pistol."
"It's the same bullet that was taken out of Takagi's bulletproof vest downstairs. It can be confirmed that it is the other party's service gun." Nanatsuki Koshimizu nodded on the side.
"So, in other words, two bullets hit Inspector Kakuta, one after the other." Megure frowned and asked, "Can we get more details?"
"That's all we can tell for now. We need to compare the ballistic traces for more detailed information."
While answering Inspector Megure's question, Karasawa handed the bullet to Nanatsuki Koshimizu and said, "Have someone retrieve the bullet."
"Okay." Nanatsuki Koshimizu nodded and retrieved the bullet.
The forensic personnel began to collect the body. After all, everything that needed to be done at the scene had been done, and all that was left was the autopsy.
Before leaving, Tang Ze stood in the corridor, holding the gun in his hand and simulating the trajectory of the 9mm bullet in his mind.
Although not accurate enough, Tang Ze's final position was almost the same as when Jiuqi Ritsuko appeared with a gun.
Thinking about the other person's dripping tears and the fact that she was the only one present when he came up to check the situation, Tang Ze's ominous premonition almost overflowed.
But he didn't say much, instead went downstairs and watched the car carrying the body leave.
"Let's go too."
Tang Ze threw the car keys to Nanatsuki Koshimizu: "Just drive home. We don't need you right now. Have a good rest and come back tomorrow."
"What about you?" Nanatsuki Koshimizu opened the driver's door and asked.
"With such a big thing happening today, I'm afraid I won't be able to sit still."
As soon as Tang Ze finished speaking, his cell phone rang. He looked at the caller and found that it was Boss Saitama.
Under the other party's serious questioning, Tang Ze explained the situation in detail and then told the other party his own judgment.
"are you sure?"
Even through the phone, Tang Ze could still imagine the solemn expression on the other person's face.
"Don't go to the meeting. I need you to take charge of the case."
After a moment of silence, Boss Saitama said, "I need you to find out the truth of this case as soon as possible, understand?
"I understand." Tang Ze also understood how much trouble this would cause, so he was not opposed to the other party's arrangement.
It is because the other party trusts him that they put this important burden in his hands.
Moreover, the other party used the word "need", which shows that the other party has considered more and even feels that it is not a simple manslaughter.
But no matter how many guesses he made, he could not come up with a corresponding countermeasure, so he needed Tang Ze to find out the truth.
Nanatsuki Koshimizu drove the car home, and Karasawa got in the driver's seat and drove towards the Institute of Scientific Research. Of course, he did not forget to call Ayako on the way to explain why he could not go back.
When we arrived at the autopsy room, Ma Chengshi had already started preparing for the dissection.
