In other words, a lighter alone is not enough evidence of a crime.
"If we rashly accuse the other party, it will only alert them and make them afraid to take action easily, which will make it impossible to catch them."
"Then Detective Tang Ze, how can you guarantee that the criminal will commit crimes again?"
Shancun Cao asked in confusion, "If the criminal gets scared and doesn't dare to commit crimes again, then we'll have wasted our chance and won't be able to catch him."
"If you've painstakingly used self-torture tactics to clear yourself of suspicion, and are faced with a continued criminal investigation, what will you do?"
Tang Ze asked in return, "Should I just keep quiet and wait and see how things develop, leaving my fate in the hands of the investigating criminals?
Or will you clear your suspicion and make someone else your scapegoat?"
"You mean the criminal will target the other three people next?" Yamamura Cao was shocked when he heard that.
"I'm afraid that's it." Tang Ze spread his hands and said with a smile, "So now all we have to do is sit back and wait."
"Yeah, it looks like tonight will be a sleepless night." Hattori Heiji straightened his hat.
"What!? Mother fainted!?"
Just when the four of them wanted to continue discussing the subsequent details, Yukihime's terrified screams were heard from far away in the house.
"Well, it seems like the mother crawled out of the quilt by herself..." Inubushi Zen also replied.
“Hurry over there!”
Inubushi Yukihime's anxious voice was heard, followed by the sound of hurried footsteps.
In order to prevent people in the house from eavesdropping, the door behind them was always open, and soon they saw Inubushi Yukihime and Inubushi Zen running towards the room where Ms. Sashin was resting.
"Let's go and take a look." Tang Ze stepped into the house, and the other three followed.
After entering the room where Ms. Sashin was resting, they saw beads scattered on the floor and the children of the Inufushi family hurriedly putting Ms. Sashin back on the bed.
"What happened?" Tang Ze asked after seeing the Inufu family members settle Ms. Sashin.
"I heard it when I passed by the door of my mother's room in the corridor. There was a strange noise coming from the room. When I came in to check the situation, I found that my mother was lying in front of the cabinet." Inufushi Kaozi explained.
"This happened while I was in the bathroom..." Inufushi Chiaki looked at Ms. Sashin lying on the bed with a face full of guilt.
"The rosary beads fell off." Tang Ze picked up a bead and checked: "It's another bead..."
But when he looked up at Ms. Sashin, he found tears streaming down her eyes.
Conan and Hattori Heiji also noticed each other's tears, and just as they were about to step forward, they were stopped by Karasawa.
Under the somewhat puzzled gazes of the two, Tang Ze first said "Excuse me" to everyone in the Inufushi family, and then he lifted up Ms. Sashin's quilt.
Both Conan and Hattori Heiji are willing to do anything for the case, but Karasawa will avoid such rude behavior unless he is in a hurry.
And when the covers were lifted, the three men's eyes quickly locked onto Ms. Sashen's hand holding the rosary.
There were eight prayer beads in the other person's hand, and counting from the thumb to the little finger, the fourth one turned into a small black jade.
And it was obvious that this was the message that Ms. Sashin was trying her best to convey to them.
Looking at the eight prayer beads in each other's hands and associating them with the word "dog", Conan and Hattori Heiji guessed the answer in an instant.
But Tang Ze and the other two who guessed the riddle once again tacitly did not speak, but stepped aside.
When the Inufushi family members had visited Ms. Sashin and were about to return to their rooms to rest, Tang Ze and the other three also took the opportunity to say goodbye and went to the room prepared for them by Miss Koko.
"You two really got slapped in the face this time."
As soon as they entered the room, Tang Ze looked at the two of them and teased, "You looked down on the village criminals, but who knew that they would actually hit the nail on the head."
Tang Ze's words made Conan and Hattori Heiji's faces turn dark instantly, but because the facts were there, they had no reason to refute, leaving Yamamura So confused and not knowing what was going on.
"What?" Shancuncao turned his head left and right: "What's going on? What does it have to do with me?"
"I'm praising you." Tang Ze said with a smile, "Didn't you say before that the Eight Dogs Legend was related to the case? Now it proves that you were right."
"Humph, it's just luck!" Hattori Heiji said unconvincedly, "It was just an accident."
"After all, there was no clue that it was related to the Eight Dog Legend."
Conan also echoed the rebuttal, "And guessing the Eight Dog Legend based on just the two elements of 'beads' and 'dogs' is really not in line with the logic of reasoning."
"But no matter what, you really got it right this time." Tang Ze teased, "It's obvious that neither of you thinks Detective Yamamura can come up with any good suggestions."
"That's right!"
Yamamura Cao nodded in agreement proudly, "Only Detective Tang Ze thought my opinion was unreliable and encouraged me to speak it out.
From this point of view, you two are still far from it. After all, being "good at accepting advice" is what a "qualified" detective should do.
It was as if an invisible arrow instantly pierced Conan and Hattori Heiji's hearts. Their bodies couldn't help but tremble, the corners of their mouths twitched, but they could only endure it with a dark face.
Although it sounded like Shancuncao was mocking the two of them, it had to be admitted that with the facts before their eyes, they were indeed too self-righteous.
