The two ladies returned the gifts, and then Karasawa and Takagi said goodbye to them.
Although these two middle-aged ladies are gossipy by nature, it must be said that the information they provide is quite useful.
At least it broadened their understanding of the dead.
Just as the two were discussing whether to go and question the middle-aged man who first discovered the person, Tang Ze's phone suddenly rang.
Looking at the caller, Tang Ze was somewhat reluctant to answer the call, but thinking of the consequences of not answering it, he finally put the phone away from his ear and answered it.
"You're investigating the case on your own again and ignoring me!"
As soon as I answered the phone, I heard Nanatsuki Koshimizu's resentful and slow voice scolding me: "If you keep going like this, I'm going on strike!"
"Sorry, sorry, I just happened to run into you this morning."
After the other party finished complaining, Tang Ze explained insincerely, "The situation was urgent at the time, so I didn't have time to call you.
Later, as we continued investigating, we found no signs of homicide, so we didn't think of calling you."
At this point, without waiting for Nanatsuki Koshimizu to speak, Tang Ze changed the subject and said, "By the way, could you please help me go to the laboratory department?
There's a tiny sample of material Dr. Aso extracted from the victim's wound. The results should be out by now."
"Okay, wait for my news." Although she knew that Tang Ze was deliberately changing the subject, Nanatsuki Koshimizu still decided to wait until she finished reading the test report.
If the test results show signs of homicide, she will definitely not let him go and will chase him.
And if the wound does not show any signs of homicide, then there seems to be no need to bother.
"It would be a good idea to let them do some preliminary research first."
Thinking so, Nanatsuki Koshimizu walked towards the laboratory without stopping.
After asking the laboratory technician inside, she learned that the results would be out in ten minutes. Nanatsuki Koshimizu admired the ease of use of the machine, then drank her coffee and waited patiently.
However, when she looked at the complex graphs and the test sheets with the names of various fungi on them, she couldn't help but feel a little confused.
"Just tell me the results directly." Nanatsuki Koshimizu handed the test form to the other party and said directly.
"In short, the main ingredients of the wound attachment provided by Dr. Aso
It's all saliva."
The short-haired guy stroked his glasses and said, "It's not human saliva, though. It's animal saliva, because it doesn't contain alpha-amylase."
"The composition of this saliva was detected from the wound?"
Nanatsuki Koshimizu frowned slightly after seeing the other party nod. "So, after the accident, an animal licked the wound..."
"It should be a cat."
After listening to Nanatsuki Koshimizu's information on the other end of the phone, Karasawa said, "According to our investigation, the deceased raised two wild cats."
"Cat?" Nanatsuki Koshimizu looked at the short-haired boy next to her and asked, "Can this result confirm that the saliva belongs to a cat?"
"That's easy. If there's Pasteurella in the saliva, it's basically confirmed."
The short-haired guy fiddled with the computer for a while and finally pulled up a picture of bacteria: "Sure enough, it's cat saliva."
"So, the cat was at the crime scene before."
After Nanatsuki Koshimizu relayed this information, Karasawa said, "I understand the situation. We will go to the crime scene to investigate. Do you want to come?"
"Forget it. Judging from the current evidence, there's no chance of homicide." Koshimizu Nanatsuki thought for a moment and said with a smile, "I'd better stay in the office."
"Okay." Tang Ze nodded, but didn't say much.
In fact, after investigating to this point, the possibility of an accident is very high. What makes Tang Ze insist on investigating is his "scientific" belief that there will be no accidental death that he will encounter.
Anyone he encountered would definitely be killed by him.
Regardless of whether this conclusion is too absolute, at least Tang Ze holds himself to this standard.
At least he won't give up easily until there is nothing left to prove.
After hanging up the phone, Tang Ze told Takagi the test results of the wound. Takagi said with some disappointment, "So, there's still no clue of homicide..."
"Let's go back to the crime scene first," Tang Ze said. "This time, we'll collect some hair around the crime scene. At least we need to determine which cat was there at the time."
"But I see, there's no way we can get the details of the crime from those cats, right?"
Gao Mu scratched his head and said, "And there were no cats in the yard where the crime was committed. Those stray cats must have wandered off and disappeared, right?"
"We need to collect that too."
Tang Ze heard this and said, "Only by confirming which two cats were raised by the deceased can we know whether those two cats can provide us with clues."
"I have a bad feeling." Hearing this, Gao Mu said with a bitter face: "Do we have to look for the cat again later?"
"That depends on whether the follow-up investigation is necessary." Tang Ze said, patting Takagi on the back and urging him to walk towards the crime scene.
Because they were collecting deliberately this time, the two of them quickly found a lot of white and yellow hairs at the entrance of the crime scene and further inside.
After putting it into the evidence bag, Gao Mu breathed a sigh of relief: "Finally, I'm done looking. My eyes are sore from looking at it."
"It's a pity that I've been here for so long but haven't seen the cat she raised come back." Tang Ze said with some regret.
"Mrs. Shunsaka must be very lonely all by herself."
