After saying goodbye to Ayako, Karasawa drove towards the crime scene mentioned by Ayanokouji Fumimaro.
Fortunately, the crime scene was right next to the tunnel where the amnesiac man that Tang Ze met yesterday was, so Tang Ze arrived at the tunnel first, and then sent a female subordinate named Kiyota Rina to pick up Tang Ze and rush to the scene.
"Is this area Arashiyama?" After getting off the car, Tang Ze looked at the surrounding scenery and asked.
"Ah, that's right." The young female detective nodded and smiled, "This is a great place to enjoy the autumn leaves."
"Let's go check out the crime scene first." Tang Ze nodded and followed the female detective to a bridge with a "Katsuragawa" sign.
After getting under the bridge, the area was already full of criminals.
The body was a man in a light yellow shirt, lying on the ground.
"Detective Tang Ze, you're here."
Ayanokouji Fumimaro said after seeing Karasawa, "Logically, this case happened in Kyoto, so it's not your place to get involved.
But considering that you were the one who discovered the amnesiac man, you are allowed to intervene in this case.
But this is not Tokyo, so please don't act on your own."
Although Ayanokouji Fumimaro's words were a bit impolite, Tang Ze didn't care, because compared with other detectives, the other party's attitude was already very good.
If it were someone you weren't familiar with, they might have warned you not to interfere in the case. Ayanokouji Fumimaro just asked you not to act on your own and allowed him to get involved, which was considered a good attitude.
"I understand." Tang Ze smiled and said, "I won't act on my own. Everything will be based on your opinions."
"Thank you very much for your cooperation, Detective Karasawa." Ayanokouji Fumimaro nodded. "Please let us borrow your wisdom, Detective Karasawa."
"You're welcome." Tang Ze looked at the corpse and said, "Let's get back to the case. Have you confirmed the identity of the deceased?"
"Of course." Ayanokouji Fumimaro said this, turned his head and raised his chin towards the female detective who had just led Tang Ze over: "Inspector Kiyota, tell me the details of the investigation."
"Yes," the short-haired female detective replied, then pulled out her notebook and said, "The deceased's name is Shibata Takaaki. He was a salesperson for a fitness equipment company in the city and joined the company three years ago."
"There was blood on the side of the head and obvious signs of beating."
After Tang Ze heard the deceased's identity, he squatted down and observed the deceased's head: "There are obvious bruises on the neck. The injury looks like strangulation."
"This young man is good at forensic medicine." The middle-aged man squatting next to him said with a little surprise after hearing Tang Ze's words.
"I know a little bit." Tang Ze smiled and looked at the two of them and said, "Also, I want to ask where you found the shoes?"
"It's on the slope next to it." Kiyota Rina pointed to a slope leading down to the bottom of the bridge. "That's where I found the shoes."
"That's why we suspect that the 'Arashiyama man' you picked up yesterday is a major suspect." Ayanokouji Fumimaro said.
"Arashiyama man?" Tang Ze was a little surprised after hearing what Ayanokouji Fumimaro said: "Are you referring to the man with amnesia?"
"We couldn't find his name, so naturally we had to find a code name for him."
Ayanokouji Fumimaro explained, "It just so happened that you found him near Arashiyama, so Kiyota and the others gave him this nickname."
"Well, it's fine to call it that for now. At least it's recognizable now."
Tang Ze smiled, then suddenly remembered something and said, "By the way, what's the current situation of that 'Lanshan Man'? From what you said, he hasn't recovered his memory yet?"
"He had an MRI done yesterday, and the attending physician said that judging from the lack of head trauma, he likely experienced or witnessed something that led to retrograde amnesia."
Upon hearing this, Ayanokouji Fumimaro explained, "In other words, something was so jarring that it impacted his mind, and he couldn't handle it, causing him to lose his memory."
"Inspector, we have collected evidence at the crime scene and we can go back now." Just as Ayanokouji Fumimaro and Karasawa were talking, Kiyota Rina walked straight over.
"Then pack up, take the body and the evidence back, and notify the deceased's family to claim the body."
After Ayanokouji Fumimaro finished his instructions, he looked at Karasawa and said with a smile, "Let's go. If there's a chance, please ask Detective Karasawa to visit the Kyoto Research Institute and offer some suggestions for improvement."
"There will be a chance later." Tang Ze smiled and drove behind a group of police cars to the headquarters of the Kyoto Prefectural Police.
Shortly after arriving, relatives of the deceased Shibata Takaaki rushed over.
"Are you Shibata Takaaki's wife?"
The long-haired lady in front of them looked very young and beautiful, but when they thought about the fact that she had lost her other half, they couldn't help but sigh.
"Yes, may I ask where is my husband?" The woman nodded after hearing what Ayanokouji Fumimaro said and then asked.
"Please accept my condolences."
Ayanokouji Fumimaro bowed slightly, then picked up the remote control on the table next to him, turned on the TV next to him, and the scene in the forensic room appeared on the screen.
In the picture, Takaaki Shibata is covered with a white cloth as if he is asleep.
"husband…"
Mrs. Shibata looked at the man on the screen and choked up, "It's... it's my husband..."
Of course, Tang Ze did not participate in the meeting with the deceased's family, and the electronic screen where he was at the moment was the autopsy room.
The reason why he was here was not because Tang Ze invited him, but because the old forensic doctor's apprentice asked for leave today for something. Originally, the other party planned to do it himself, but Tang Ze heard about it and offered to help.
