Chapter 636 Evidence

In a somewhat silent environment, Tang Ze continued to modify the portrait while asking for Kenji Suenaga's opinion.

Based on the other party's description, Tang Ze quickly confirmed the suspect's facial features. Then, with his superb painting skills, the image of a thin, handsome, handsome and somewhat frivolous young man emerged from Tang Ze's pen.

That person looked somewhat like Orihara Izaya.

Well, that’s an anime character from a TV series called “Durararauma of the Headless Horseman” that Tang Ze watched in his previous life.

After thanking Kenji Suenaga, the few of them took the portrait and left the "Moonlight Hotel".

"It's getting late. I'm sorry to bother you two."

Xiaolan checked the time and bowed to the two of them, saying, "If you don't mind, how about you two come with me back to the nearby office for lunch? It'll be my way of thanking you."

"Forget it. I have a dinner appointment with Sato Miwako." Takagi smiled and took the portrait from Tang Ze's hand. "I'll take this back with me. After dinner, I'll investigate the identity of the person in the portrait."

"Then I'll be respectful in declining it. It just so happens that there are still some things I haven't figured out, and I feel like I need to go back to the crime scene to take a look."

Seeing that Takagi took the initiative to take the task of sending the portrait back to the Metropolitan Police Department for investigation, Tang Ze accepted Xiaolan's invitation and returned to the office with her for dinner.

Of course, he was not greedy for Xiaolan's meal, but he felt that there might be some unexpected clues that could help him open up his mind.

Isn't it like this many times? When Conan is thinking hard because of the silence, a word said inadvertently by the "case triggers" becomes the key clue to solving the case.

Tang Ze cannot let this go.

After saying goodbye to Takagi, Karasawa drove the two of them to the Mori Detective Agency.

As soon as she entered the door, she saw Kogoro Mouri who had returned and was resting on the sofa. Xiaolan greeted her father and walked towards the kitchen in silence.

After some questioning, Kogoro Mouri learned about their subsequent investigation and why his daughter was so unhappy.

"But that's the truth."

Maori Kogoro shook his head helplessly and sighed: "My daughter is just too soft-hearted and a little sentimental. I think she will get better after a while.

As for the case, I'm afraid it will be concluded soon once Detective Takagi finds out the information about the person in the portrait."

The two chatted casually, and soon Xiaolan brought up several servings of fried rice.

"Finally I got up here. I was starving!"

As soon as the fried rice came, Kogoro Mouri couldn't wait to scoop a spoonful and start eating it.

Tang Ze scooped a spoonful into his mouth. The fragrant and delicious rice mixed with the flavor of the vegetables instantly exploded in his mouth, making Tang Ze couldn't help but praise: "It's delicious. Xiaolan's cooking skills are getting better and better."

"Of course. Don't you see whose daughter she is?"

Kogoro Mouri laughed triumphantly, with a look of satisfaction on his face, showing no sign of worrying about his daughter at all, just like a complete careless person.

After taking two more bites, Maori Kogoro looked at Ran and Conan who were motionless opposite him and said, "Don't worry about it, just eat. Now that the facts are like this, we have to accept the reality."

"That's good." Xiaolan couldn't help but smile when she heard Tang Ze's praise: "Because I'm not sure how much salt to put..."

"What? For things like this, you can just taste it while cooking." Maori Kogoro said unhappily, "Put a little bit at a time until you feel the saltiness is right."

But this seemingly ordinary sentence flashed through the two people's brains like a lightning.

Tang Ze and Conan, who were sitting on the sofa, looked at each other, and a look of realization flashed in their eyes. Obviously, they thought of a possibility.

"Maybe there really is something else behind the truth." After Tang Ze and Conan exchanged glances, he spoke as usual.

"Huh? Why are you suddenly talking about this again?" Kogoro Mouri turned his head and asked with a puzzled look.

"Could it be that Detective Karasawa has figured something out?!" Compared to Maori Kogoro, Xiaolan seemed much more excited: "What discovery was it?"

"I don't know if you noticed, Miss Nishimura's salad and steak on the table showed signs of being eaten, but the food in the ashtray was untouched." Tang Ze reminded.

"Yeah! This doesn't make sense. There must be something wrong." Xiaolan seemed to have thought of something and hesitated, "Could it be..."

"What?" asked Kogoro Mouri.

"I wonder if Miss Nishimura's boyfriend actually exists..." Xiaolan said hesitantly.

"Huh? Are you overthinking it? Of course it exists."

Maori Kogoro said unhappily while eating his meal: "The lady who lives next door to Miss Nishimura heard Miss Nishimura talking to someone when she passed by her house."

"But she only heard Miss Nishimura's voice."

Tang Ze pulled out the transcript and confirmed, "All the content recorded in the confession is what Miss Nishimura said, but there is no response from the man."

"What does that mean?" Maori Kogoro said casually while stuffing a spoonful of rice: "It's just that he didn't say anything. Is he talking to himself now?"

"Maybe it's true!" Xiaolan stood up and said firmly, "Detective Tang Ze, let's go investigate!"

"Let's eat first." Tang Ze gestured at the food on the table and said with a smile, "Searching is not something that can be rushed. Patience is also a necessary quality."
