After agreeing on a meeting place with Naoki Kamii, Karasawa hung up the phone.
He picked up the bookmark on the table and put it on the page where the mystery novel in his hand was interrupted so that he could read it later.
Then he picked up the teacup beside him and drank the brewed Darjeeling tea in one gulp.
There is a slight bitterness of red in the mouth, but after a while there is a fresh fragrance and a slight sweetness. This familiar taste still makes people feel comfortable no matter how long it lasts.
But at this moment, he tasted the familiar flavor, but felt that he tasted something different.
He naturally knew that it was a psychological effect because he was thinking of that troublesome man.
He washed the cup and put it away, then walked out of the office and drove to the Metropolitan Police Department to pick up Naoki Kamii at the door, and the two of them headed towards the prison.
When he came to the prison in Tokyo again, Tang Ze found that the prison guards around him looked at him with much more respect.
"Senior, it seems your reputation has spread here." Kamii Naoki said with a smile: "I didn't expect that even a relatively closed place like a prison would have legends about you."
"You're wrong." The young prison guard leading the way laughed and said, "Although our area is relatively closed, news about Criminal Tang Ze spreads very quickly in the prison.
After all, every once in a while, a criminal caught by Detective Tang Ze would be thrown in, updating Detective Tang Ze's intelligence, although at most it would only update the number of criminals Tang Ze had captured."
"How did you know the news about what happened in Gunma Prefecture so quickly?" Naoki Kamii asked curiously.
"You're right, we're not prisoners." The young prison guard laughed and said, "After all, we're part of the same system."
"Look at my brain." Naoki Kamii slapped his forehead, having forgotten about this.
The conversation between the two ended in nonsense, and during this conversation the three of them had already arrived at the meeting room.
Then the two of them came to the glass window, and the young prison guard walked into the prison. After a while, he brought Hiroaki Buta to the other side of the glass window and sat down.
"We meet again." Buda Hiroaki looked at Tang Ze across from him and smiled, "It's really not easy to meet a busy man like you."
"Now that you know, stop talking nonsense."
Tang Ze said coldly, "If you have something to say, say it quickly. If you called me here just to chat, then this will be the last time we meet."
"Of course not." Buta Hiroaki chuckled and said something infuriatingly calmly: "I'm here to make things difficult for you."
Naoki Kamii, who was standing by, immediately became furious when he heard this, but because Tang Ze had instructed him beforehand that he must not say anything no matter what the other party said, he could only glare at the other party.
"Don't show off your boring tricks."
But compared to Naoki Kamii, Tang Ze's face remained calm without any ripples. He knew that if he was provoked by the other party's provocation, it would play into the other party's hands.
"Since you asked me to come over, you and I both know who holds the initiative. Let's get to the point." Tang Ze replied neither softly nor harshly, but it hit his weakness.
After all, it was the other party who took the initiative to invite me here. If I still have to put on airs now, isn't that just like "putting on a pedestal for my cousin"?
"Get to the point. That's what I'm talking about."
As if not understanding what Tang Ze meant, Bu Tianhong chuckled and said, "I have a difficult case that I want you to handle. Isn't it just to make things difficult for you?"
"Case?" Tang Ze raised his eyebrows. "The one we talked about last time?"
"That's right, Kitagami Haruko, this is the person I want you to arrest." Hota Hiroaki looked at Tang Ze and said, "Her crime is murder.
If it were you, there would be a chance of catching her."
"Are you saying this woman killed someone?" Naoki Kamii couldn't help but ask.
"Yes, she was a student at my university, and that case was also a mystery that happened at Aomori University in Beihua," said Hiroaki Hota. "A professor was murdered. It was a case of poisoning."
"You said the criminal was this woman?" Naoki Kamii couldn't help but ask, "But you also said this was a mystery, right?"
"Yes, so there is no evidence." Buda Hiroaki looked at Tang Ze and smiled, "That's why I said it was to cause trouble for you."
"You're simply refutating the truth." Naoki Kamii thought it was ridiculous: "Since you also said it was a mystery case, it means that the police at the time did not find out the truth.
If that's the case, how did you know she was the criminal?"
"Of course I do."
Buda Hiroaki smiled strangely: "Because she and I have the same smell.
No, she used to have the same smell as I do now."
What Hiroaki Buta said was awkward, but Karasawa understood it.
In the past, Hiroaki Hota was at most in a "semi-transformed" state, and the woman he met at that time, Haruko Kitagami, already exuded the same scent as he did now that he had become a "murderer".
Once upon a time, "humans" encountered "murderous ghosts", and now they have become the same kind of people as the other party.
This is roughly what Hiroaki Buta wanted to express.
"Are you saying that she also has the smell of murder on her?" After hearing the other party's "metaphysical" words, Tang Ze did not get angry at being fooled, and continued to ask with a calm expression.
"That's right." Buta Hiroaki said with a maniacal smile, "That's the scent of a murderer, a foul smell that seeps into your bones and won't go away."
"Besides that?" Tang Ze continued, "Since you're from the same university, there must be something substantial, right?"
