Garden of Dawn.
When Sato Akiko listened to the maid's report, her face instantly turned ugly.
"I understand. You can go down first." Sato Akiko handed the messed up pastry to the other party: "Take this too."
The maid took away the mushy cake, leaving Sato Akiko alone. She slowly stood up and walked towards the courtyard.
When she arrived at the courtyard, she saw Tang Ze and a woman in a red suit sitting in the courtyard sipping black tea, and on the dining table in front of them was a Western-style dining cover.
"Ah, what's that wind blowing?"
Looking at the Western-style food cover on the table, Sato Akiko looked curious: "What's the purpose of getting this?"
"It's nothing, I just made a delicious cake, so I wanted to ask Teacher Sato to taste it." Tang Ze raised the black tea and said with a smile.
"Oh, you did it? I thought it was done by this lady." Sato Akiko looked at Tang Ze and smiled.
"I do have some experience in cooking, but this is probably my first time making a cake."
Tang Ze smiled and introduced, "This is Sato Miwako. We share the same last name as you, so it's kind of fate."
"That's quite a coincidence. Maybe they're all family members."
Sato Akiko nodded to Miwako and then sat in the empty seat between them.
Miwako Sato opened the lid of the Western food at the right time, revealing the small cake on the plate.
"Wow, it's a really simple cake." Looking at the brown round cake on the tray, Sato Akiko said with a smile.
Of course, this is already a very polite description, after all, the cake in front of me is really rough.
It is simply an oval shape on the outside, with a rough brown appearance. Just by looking at it, one would think that this should be a super simple cake made by the housewife.
"By the way, Detective Tang Ze, do you understand the significance of letting me taste it?"
Sato Akiko looked at Tang Ze and said in a playful tone, "You are letting one of Japan's top pastry chefs taste his debut creation."
"Of course, but I'm still confident that I can get a "delicious" comment from you." Tang Ze smiled and took the knife from Sato Miwako's hand and cut the cake into three pieces.
"So confident, you could even say arrogant."
Sato Akiko smiled and picked up the fork: "Then let me see whether you are bluffing or you really have the ability."
"Then let's start." Tang Ze didn't say much. He picked up the fork, cut the cake and put it in his mouth.
The first piece everyone cut was invariably the center of the triangular cake, which was also the tip of the triangle.
Fragrant.
After entering the mouth, a light chocolate aroma bursts out in the mouth. Although it looks rough on the outside, it has a delicate taste that is completely different from its appearance.
But it does not have the greasy sweet taste of sugar. Instead, it brings out the bitterness of the chocolate just right. The mellow aroma occupies the taste buds and makes people unable to stop.
It can be seen that the structure of the cake inside is more rough than the outside, and the irregular honeycomb shape makes people feel that it is not refined enough just by looking at it.
However, after putting it in your mouth, the taste is unexpectedly delicate. The honeycomb structure makes the taste even more strange and unique. The chewy and soft texture is completely different from ordinary cakes.
After the first bite, Sato Akiko's face changed. She picked up a fork, cut a piece from the outermost part of the cake and put it into her mouth.
The taste this time is different from before, it is simpler and more delicate, more like the taste of a piece of exquisite cake.
A cake that looks simple or even a little crude actually contains a lot of secrets inside, and the center and the outside have two completely different tastes.
I have to say, this cake was beyond Sato Akiko's expectations.
"Is it really baked in a microwave?" Putting down the fork, Sato Akiko looked at Tang Ze and said.
"Did you taste it?" Tang Ze smiled slightly: "It was made in a microwave."
"You can't hide this from a professional like me." Sato Akiko pointed at the cake in front of her and said, "This cake was definitely made in a microwave."
"As expected of Mr. Sato," Tang Ze praised, "He's really experienced."
"Using a microwave, even an amateur can make it." Sato Akiko looked at Tang Ze and said, "But I have to say that the cake you made was quite successful for an amateur. How did you know the recipe?"
"The recipe for this cake was developed by Miss Mika." Tang Ze looked at Sato Akiko and smiled as he told her the origin of the cake.
When she heard that the cake was made by her apprentice, Sato Akiko's pupils shook violently and her mouth subconsciously opened as if to say something, but in the end it turned into deep silence.
"According to Mr. Saotome, this cake was supposed to have been made on that anniversary day. I got the recipe and recreated it."
Karasawa looked at Sato Akiko and explained, "Actually, Ms. Mika made the same cake for Saotome before.
We conducted an inspection of the cake and found that it was heated from the inside.”
Sato Miwako took out the identification results from her bag at the right time and spread it out in front of Sato Akiko: "Just as you said, Teacher Sato, this cake was indeed baked in a microwave."
"In other words, what you said about Miss Meijia turning on the oven to bake the cake is impossible!"
Tang Ze looked at Sato Akiko scrutinizingly: "When you heard that Miss Mika was going to bake a cake, you assumed she could use an oven, right?"
