Chapter 87 The Murderer
◎How did he get caught by the police so quickly?◎
Zhao Xiangwan's questioning continued.
Her voice was steady, soft, yet clear.
"Very good. He was scrubbing the hem of the clothes, and as he did so, he tilted his face slightly. You can see his profile now. Is his forehead flat? Are his eyelashes long? Do his eyeballs protrude? Is his nose high? Is there a bulge in the middle of his nose? Are his nostrils big? Does he have nose hair? Is his philtrum long? Are his lips thick? Is his chin long? Is his Adam's apple big? Look back and see if the tip of his nose, lips, and chin can form a straight line? If not, which part is higher?"
As Zhao Xiangwan described, Feng Jianlie's memories became clearer and clearer.
His eyes gradually became brighter and his voice became much louder.
"I saw it, I saw it! His forehead is very flat, his eyelashes are not long, his eyeballs are a little protruding, his nose is neither high nor low, it is a straight line, he has nose hair, and it is very thick, his philtrum is not long, his lips are a little thick, his chin is not long, his Adam's apple is big, and there is a downward slope between his chin and Adam's apple, the nose tip, lips, and chin are not a straight line, the lowest point is the chin."
When Feng Jianlie began to speak, Ning Qingning pressed the button of the recorder so that she could check the details repeatedly later. The tape made a low "buzzing" sound, and Ning Qingning's heart was like fire. She didn't dare to blink and looked at Zhao Xiangwan seriously.
——She asked such good and detailed questions! Especially the description of the profile lines, which was precise and professional. With such a description, he would definitely be able to draw a very realistic profile portrait.
Zhao Xiangwan's voice was filled with encouragement and praise.
"Very good. Now you called him, and he was startled and turned his head quickly to face you. Although the incandescent light at the toilet door was not bright, it was right on his face, and you could see him clearly."
Feng Jianlie nodded confidently: "Yes! I can see it clearly."
Seeing that the other party was becoming more confident and was in a state of excitement with an extreme desire to express himself, Zhao Xiangwan gradually increased his speech speed.
"Is your face big?"
"It's not that big, but there's a bit of flesh here. It's narrow on top and wide at the bottom. The hair is shaved very short, and the edge on the forehead is very clear. It must have been cut in the past two days."
"What about eyebrows and eyes?"
"He has thick, flat eyebrows, like a tapeworm. There is a lump of flesh between his eyebrows. His eyes are not very big, but the corners of his eyes are slightly turned up. He squints at people and looks very fierce."
"What about the nose? Is it big?"
"The nose is a bit fleshy, the nostrils are relatively large, and the nose hair is exposed."
"Is the philtrum deep? Are the lips thick? Are there any fine lines on them? Is the color red?"
"Philtrum? I don't think I can see it. The lips are thick, without any fine lines. The lower lip is a little turned outwards, and the color is dark. I can't tell what kind of red it is."
“See the teeth?”
"I saw it. His mouth didn't seem to be closed, and a little bit of his teeth were exposed. They were not very white, but a little yellow. He had two big front teeth with a small gap in the middle."
"Very good. Do you remember what he was wearing?"
"It was a military green round-neck T-shirt, a little bleached from washing, with a loose collar, revealing a red mark here, on his collarbone. Oh, no, it's a scar, a bit like a burn. He was wearing a dark jacket on top, which was wrinkled, and the hem of the shirt was very wet."
Zhao Xiangwan looked at Ji Zhao.
【Ask him about his overall impression.】
Ji Zhao did not write anything, but just listened attentively.
Zhao Xiangwan nodded, knowing that Ji Zhao felt that the details provided were sufficient, and that he still needed to capture the spirit of the character.
"Very good, you saw the murderer very clearly. What was your first impression? What was going through your mind at that time?"
When it comes to his first impression, Feng Jianlie has a lot to say.
"When I first saw him, I thought: This guy is not a college student. His temperament is obviously not that of a scholar, but a bit like a soldier. However, he doesn't seem to be the kind of righteous and mighty soldier on TV. He looks a bit evil, a bit fierce, and a bit indescribably cruel. He likes to look at people with his eyes squinting, which makes me uncomfortable."
"I called him hello, but he didn't respond. He just turned his head and found someone, then quickly turned around and ran out along the corridor very quickly. He was tall, with long legs, and his running stride was very beautiful, just like the leopard in Animal World."
"I thought at the time, this guy ran so fast, damn, I didn't even ask him who he was, and he ran away. Why was he running? What could I do to him? Police comrade, I never thought he was a bad guy..."
Hearing this, Zhao Xiangwan knew that he had come out of the semi-hypnotic state.
This state of high mental concentration can usually only be maintained for about five minutes. If it lasts longer, you will feel tired.
Zhao Xiangwan raised his hand and clapped twice.
“Snap! Snap!”
The clear sound echoed in the portrait room, waking Feng Jianlie up in a flash. He looked up blankly at Zhao Xiangwan: "Comrade police officer, I remember it, I really remember it."
Zhao Xiangwan picked up the teacup on the table and handed it to him: "Well done. Have a drink first, and when the portrait is finished, come back and take a look and give some suggestions."
Feng Jianlie nodded repeatedly: "Okay, okay, you guys draw."
After the psychological pressure was suddenly relieved, Feng Jianlie felt refreshed. Looking at the two portrait artists who were writing furiously on the drawing paper in front of him, he quietly asked Zhao Xiangwan: "Can you catch the bad guys? Can I make a contribution?"
Zhao Xiangwan waved his hands: "Don't disturb them while they are working."
Feng Jianlie quickly lowered his breathing and dared not move at all.
Ning Qingning thought for a moment, picked up the charcoal pencil in her right hand, and began to paint on the sketch paper. Feng Jianlie had already provided a lot of details, and Ning Qingning had a basic outline in her mind. Years of basic skills and hard work were not in vain, and Ning Qingning painted every stroke very carefully.
Ji Zhao rolled up his sleeves, exposing half of his forearms, so as not to affect his movements. He looked at the easel in front of him, which stood very steadily on three legs, with a piece of sketch paper pasted on the drawing board.
The paper surface is flat and smooth, with slightly rough edges. When the charcoal falls, it will leave behind hard or soft lines.
Put down the pen and move the pen.
Line, dot, tick.
There is no need to draw outlines. Ji Zhao never makes a draft when painting. The draft is always in his mind.
Any person, thing or object that Ji Zhao has seen once will be clearly engraved in his mind. This is his innate talent.
Having not interacted with others since childhood, Ji Zhao had more time to hone his talent. Through learning and training in painting techniques, he was able to reproduce them on paper with unparalleled accuracy.
This talent was applied to the field of painting, and Ji Zhao became a hyperrealist painter and became famous in the art world.
But what if this talent is applied to the field of criminal investigation?
Just imagine, as long as there are witnesses, Ji Zhao can draw a suspect based on other people's oral descriptions, and the drawing is as close to a photograph as a human. With the help of this talented criminal portrait artist, the police can solve more unsolved and mysteries.
From a talented painter to a forensic portrait painter, with Zhao Xiangwan as a bridge, Ji Zhao's transformation was very rapid. Watching him write quickly, Zhao Xiangwan smiled slightly.
Half an hour later, Ji Zhao stopped writing, took down the finished portrait and put it aside, then replaced it with a piece of sketch paper and continued painting.
Ning Qingning was so focused on her work that she didn't notice Ji Zhao's actions. However, Sun Xiu was curious and stretched her head to look at the portrait that Ji Zhao had painted.
This... is this a sketch portrait?
Using only charcoal pencil, the features of a three-dimensional portrait were captured.
Although her hair is short, each strand stands upright, as if it would move in the wind.
The pupil of the eye is very bright. If you stare at it, you can feel the changes in light and shadow. If you look closely, you can even find an inverted human figure in the pupil.
The nose is big and fleshy, with a few nose hairs sticking out, giving the impression that this person has too much hair and does not pay attention to his personal image.
The lips are plump and have a bulging feeling. The teeth are clenched, and the muscles on both sides of the cheeks are tense. Because of the tension, the lips are slightly opened, exposing the two front teeth.
And the retracted chin and the connection with the throat make it feel like he would have a double chin if he just lowered his head a little.
The collar is old and has faded from washing - such vague words are actually shown in the portrait. Just adding a little shadow and a few highlights can make people clearly see that this is an old T-shirt. There is a round scar the size of a coin on the left side of the collarbone. It seems to be an old scar, which has caused the surrounding muscles to be somewhat tense.
It was just a portrait, but it successfully left Sun Xiu with a deep impression of the suspect - Feng Jianlie was not wrong, this man was very fierce and powerful, with a masculine tension that seemed to overflow from the paper.
Although Sun Xiu was not a professional criminal justice portrait painter, he had seen the portraits painted by Ning Qingning.
Let’s put it this way, Ning Qingning’s portraits are very regular and standard. He deconstructs the human facial features and other parts of the face, making the portraits well-balanced and with clear features.
However, Ji Zhao's portraits are very artistic, with great tension, expressiveness and appeal. They can catch everyone's attention at the first moment and leave people speechless for a long time.
If you put the portraits of Ning Qingning and Ji Zhao together, it is easy to see the difference between them.
Ning Qingning's portraits are highly professional, more like a puzzle. As long as you have a basic painting foundation and practice hard, you can achieve this effect. Ji Zhao's portraits pay more attention to the overall quality, full of artistic sense and spirit. Even if others work hard, it will be in vain if they don't have talent.
The project manager shook his head: "I only know that he is from Province Y, but I don't know exactly where he is from."
Fan Wenguang asked: "Don't you need an ID card to withdraw money?"
The project manager shook his head and said, "He has been at the construction site for about three months. He usually works alone and is paid weekly in cash. From the way he talks, it seems that he came to Kyoto just to see the world. He will do great things in the future."
I asked around the construction site, but no one knew his name. The older people called him Xiao Guan, and the younger people called him Gou Ge. He was a quiet guy who lived in a shed, had a regular schedule, and loved to keep things clean.
Fan Wenguang searched the shed where he once lived and extracted fingerprints from the toothbrush cup. After returning to the Municipal Bureau, the Trace Examination Division conducted a fingerprint comparison overnight and confirmed that Xiao Guan was the suspect!
The Xishan District Public Security Bureau was full of excitement.
Gou is an extremely rare surname, with less than 30,000 people in China. If we apply this to Province Y, the search scope is suddenly narrowed.
The Ministry of Public Security issued an order, and the Public Security Bureau of Province Y cooperated in the investigation to find all people with the surname Gou. After comparing them with their portraits, Gou Weiping was arrested in less than a week.
The day when Gao Weiping was brought to Kyoto was another rainy day.
The autumn wind and rain make people depressing.
Accompanied by Jiang Tinglan, Rao Xiang sat in the reception room of the Public Security Bureau. She wanted to meet the murderer who killed her daughter. She wanted to ask him why he killed Wen Qianyu, why he killed a good girl!
A police car stopped at the gate with its red lights flashing.
Rao Xiang rushed to the door without an umbrella and stared at Gou Weiping, who was taken out of the car, with a pale face and hunched back.
Rao Xiang's hair was all white, and rain was dripping from her head. She shouted at the top of her lungs: "Murderer! You murderer! You must die a horrible death--"
Gou Weiping, who was handcuffed, was thin and out of shape, and his heart was dead. When he heard the shout, he looked up involuntarily and looked blankly at the thin woman with white hair.
Everyone is born by a father and raised by a mother, so why do some people become rich while others become prisoners?
Gou Weiping didn't know what went wrong.
The Ministry of Public Security has so many unsolved cases, so why is he the one who becomes a rat crossing the street and is hated by everyone?
He returned to his hometown Yan County, where the Gou surname gathered and was considered a large family.
Gou Weiping was planning to buy a store in his hometown town and open a building materials store. He worked in Kyoto for a few months and found that sand and stone tyrants were rampant and the profits were very high. He planned to open a store first and then contact several construction sites to develop his career.
Unexpectedly, before I could even get comfortable in the seat, disaster struck.
His parents were so scared that they held up a newspaper and pointed at the wanted warrant on it: "Son, is this... is this you? What did you do? Why was a red-headed document issued, and you are wanted nationwide?"
When Gou Weiping took a closer look, he was terrified.
——How did your portrait appear in the newspaper?
Who drew this? Even if I took a photo of myself at a photo studio and enlarged it and put it in a frame, it wouldn't look this good!
Not only his own parents, but any acquaintance in the town would be able to recognize him.
Gou Weiping knew that something was wrong, so he packed his bags and prepared to escape.
As soon as he walked out of the house, a dozen uncles and brothers blocked his way with shovels and spit at his feet: "You are a disgrace to our family! We don't have people like you in our family! Turn yourself in quickly, or we will break your legs and send you there."
Gou Weiping relied on the skills he had acquired in the army to break out of the siege.
When he rushed out, he found that he had left his backpack somewhere and had many wounds on his body. He found out sadly that he was now deserted by his family and could never go back to the Gou family.
Wherever he went, he found his own portrait on telephone poles, hotel walls, and bus station platforms.
The spirit and appearance are similar, and the details are terrifyingly realistic.
Even from a few meters away, you can spot this artistic photo, oh no, portrait, at a glance.
Gou Weiping had seen wanted criminal portraits on telephone poles before. To be honest, they were all dark and blurry, and everyone looked alike. If you put the person and the portrait together, you might be able to find similarities, but it would be very difficult to find the person based on the portrait. Only familiar relatives could recognize the person.
But this portrait now looks horrible.
Even strangers can recognize him at a glance after seeing this front, side, back, and full-length photo.
He wanted to stay at the hotel, but the waiter's eyes wandered, he responded with a smile, and then he turned around and called the police;
He wanted to take a bus, but the person at the ticket window looked down and saw his face, and immediately hesitated and called security.
He wanted to eat, and just as he entered the restaurant, the boss and the waiter's faces changed and they rubbed their hands excitedly: There was a bounty of 10,000 yuan in the newspaper, and didn't we get it today?
Gou Weiping, who was escaping from the Canghuang Incident, had to hide in the mountains, sleeping in the open air, and sneaking into farmers' houses at night to steal some food. After a few days, he was hungry and exhausted. His calf, which was injured by his cousin's iron shovel, began to become inflamed, and he fainted beside the chicken coop.
Gou Weiping had already fallen into the vast ocean of people's war and had nowhere to escape.
Gou Weiping couldn't figure it out.
He is obviously very considerate.
He had clearly killed that girl.
He left Kyoto the next day.
He clearly has no friends in Kyoto and no one knows his full name.
He obviously never took out his ID card.
I just had a brief encounter with that security guard in the restroom, so how come I was caught by the police so quickly?
