"Sister, this is not mine." The little girl said crisply.
"Really? I'm sorry." Tu Ran smiled and took the button from her hand.
"But why are you alone? Where is your mother?" Tu Ran asked gently.
The little girl lowered her head with tears in her eyes, "My mother...my mother was eaten."
"I'm sorry, I don't know," Tu Ran said with a guilty look, "What about your father?"
"An uncle has contacted my father for me. He will drive over to pick me up soon." The little girl said obediently.
"That's good. You can take a rest on the chair first." Tu Ran invited.
The little girl shook her head. "No, sister. My dad will be here soon. I'll wait for him outside."
"Okay, then you should be careful."
"I understand, sister. Bye." The little girl was very polite.
After watching her walk out of the makeshift room, Tu Ran sat back in his original position.
Slowly closing her eyes, the memory of what she had just read came flooding back to her mind.
The little girl's mother was the woman who tried to rescue the first alien that fell to the ground and ended up having her neck bitten off.
Tu Ran had read the memory of a passerby in the carriage before.
I saw the mother who was infected by the alien species slowly walking towards her daughter.
The passers-by behind were only concerned with running away and did not see what happened next, so Tu Ran did not see what happened next after reading his memory.
But what are the chances that a frightened little girl can escape from the hands of her alien mother?
When she read this paragraph, Tu Ran had already assumed that the little girl would not survive.
So when he saw her just now, Tu Ran became suspicious for a moment.
Touching the palm of her hand, Tu Ran read her memory.
There is a missing piece in the little girl's memory.
The last scene before she lost her memory was her mother walking towards her, her bloody palms still dripping with blood, and her sharp nails seemed to be gouging out her eyes.
What follows is a blank void of nothingness.
Later, the memory came back to her again. She was hiding in the bathroom, and the train was broadcasting that all the survivors were lining up to leave. She followed them out.
What is the missing memory?
Tu Ran couldn't understand.
She tilted her head and looked at Xie Xu, who was two seats away.
He leaned back in his chair with his eyes slightly closed, his profile clear and sharp.
Tu Ran hesitated for a moment, stood up, moved two seats to the side, and sat next to him.
"Let's make a deal."
Xie Xu opened his eyes and looked at her, "What deal?"
Because his face was turned, Tu Ran saw the other side of his face. The area from the corner of his lips to his jaw was bruised and a little swollen.
It was because she had beaten him before.
Tu Ran pursed her lips and tried hard to suppress her smile.
"Is your research institute looking for the alien body?"
"Yes." Xie Xu stared at her.
Her acting was so poor that he could already tell she was laughing.
"I have a suspect." Tu Ran said.
"The little girl?"
Tu Ran blinked, "How do you know?"
"Because the way you tried to find an excuse to talk to her just now was so fake, and your smile was also fake."
Tu Ran touched her face. Was her smile fake? She clearly thought she acted well.
Tu Ran snorted coldly and rolled her eyes at him, "That's because you've never seen Tu Ran smile, so you think my smile is fake."
"What's the reason? Why do you suspect her?" Xie Xu looked at her inquiringly.
