Chapter 69 Seeing Jinbai Again

"Uncle! Thank you, aunt!" Jin Bai's joyful voice suddenly came from the door.

They both turned their heads to look. They saw Jin Bai, wrapped up like a ball, running in, holding Yan Suizhi with one hand and Xie Wanyun with the other, and shouting, "Uncle, Aunt Xie! Why are you here? It's so cold! Aunt Xie, Jin Bai missed you so much!"

Xie Wanyun was surprised and delighted to see Jin Bai. Without hesitation, she leaned over, caressed his snow-white face, and said sincerely, "Jin Bai, Aunt Xie missed you too."

"Really? I knew Aunt Xie couldn't bear to leave me!" Jin Bai danced with joy when she heard it.

"Jinbai! Who allowed you to come out?" Yan Suizhi's face turned cold and he scolded him.

Gan Min's clear voice came from the door. "I brought Jin Bai here."

As the voice sounded, Gan Min walked in slowly. She looked at the people in the room with a smile, pursed her lips, and said to Yan Suizhi, "Jin Bai has been locked up at home by you for quite a while. Today, the child sent someone to send a letter, asking me to pick him up for a walk. I have no reason to refuse."

“…” Yan Suizhi remained silent.

Xie Wanyun didn't bother to pay attention to Yan Suizhi. Seeing Jin Bai again made her happy from the bottom of her heart. She pulled Jin Bai aside and asked if he had been studying hard at home these days and if he had been practicing martial arts.

Jin Bai nodded continuously and even exaggerated how Yan Suizhi had locked him up and not allowed him to go out.

Xie Wanyun looked at Yan Suizhi's helpless face and found it very funny.

"Aunt Xie, you don't know how much I have missed you and Brother Quan these days. Has he asked about me?" Jin Bai's little mouth seemed to have a small motor installed, and she kept talking.

"Yes, Brother Quan also said that he wanted to practice martial arts well and asked you to call him senior brother." Xie Wanyun held Jin Bai's little hand and said with a smile.

"Hmph, forget it! Let's wait until he can beat me!" Jin Bai raised his head proudly.

Xie Wanyun was amused and gently stroked Jin Bai's shiny black hair, her eyes becoming more and more gentle as she looked at him.

Yan Suizhi stared at them intently.

If Xie Wanyun looked up at him at this moment, she would be shocked by the deep emotion in his eyes.

Gan Min stood quietly by the side, with a smile on her lips, but her eyes were quietly wet.

"Uncle, please don't lock me up anymore, okay?" Jin Bai turned around and pulled the corner of Yan Suizhi's robe and begged.

Yan Suizhi remained silent.

Jin Bai turned to Gan Min for help. "Aunt, aunt, please help me persuade my uncle."

Gan Min looked at Yan Suizhi helplessly.

Yan Suizhi's gaze swept across the faces of these people and stopped at Xie Wanyun's face.

He was touched by the honesty in the latter's eyes and his concern for Jinbai.

He finally nodded.

"Oh! That's great, thank you, Auntie. From now on, I can come to you every day to learn Kung Fu! Jinbai is so happy!"

Jinbai cheered.

Yan Suizhi cleared his throat, deliberately put on a stern face, and said, "Okay, Jinbai, it's getting late, we should go back."

"oh!"

Jin Bai looked at Xie Wanyun reluctantly, but his uncle had just promised him, so he had to be obedient.

He turned around and grabbed the corner of Xie Wanyun's robe again, raised his snow-white face, and said with a smile: "Aunt Xie, I will go back first and come to see you tomorrow."

"Okay, Jinbai." Xie Wanyun was moved by the child's innocent and unconcealed smile.

Yan Suizhi pulled the child over, bowed, and said, "Thank you, Madam. I'll take my leave now."

Xie Wanyun then remembered that she hadn't gotten anything out of him today. She felt a little angry, and her words were tinged with sarcasm.

"Lord Yan is so busy with all sorts of things, and I'm really shocked that he can still find time to see me despite his busy schedule."

Yan Suizhi's deep eyes grew darker, but he said nothing. He turned and ordered his subordinates, "Escort Madam Xie back to the mansion. No mistakes can be made."

Xie Wanyun said coldly, "I dare not trouble Master Yan. I will go back on my own."

Yan Suizhi acted as if he didn't hear anything and went downstairs holding Jin Bai's hand.

Jinbai looked back and waved reluctantly.

Gan Min saw this and sighed quietly.

When Xie Wanyun returned to the mansion, it was already dark. The days were short in winter, and it was already pitch black.

She entered Nong Yu Hall and found Qin Su'an there again.

She was speechless.

Qin Su'an and Liu Yun'er are really haunting. If one doesn't come, the other will come. They just don't want her to be quiet, right?

She didn't even look at Qin Su'an and went into the room to change clothes.
