Watching Shen Tinghe tidy up the room, Chen Rancheng lost his appetite and sat in a chair watching her.

With not much stuff, Shen Tinghe slung her bag over her shoulder and walked toward the entrance.

look steadily forward.

I put my hand on the handle, pressed down, and pushed outward, but the door didn't budge. I repeated this several times, but the result was the same.

He had no choice but to turn around and look at Chen Rancheng. "Did you lock the door?"

Chen Rancheng also frankly stated, "If the door isn't locked, would you still be able to see me?"

A silent standoff.

He said that Shen Tinghe should not think that he has no temper and that everything is negotiable.

Finally, he said indifferently and awkwardly, "I'll drive you."

The sky was overcast, with dark clouds hanging low, and the stuffy air made Shen Tinghe take a deep breath.

What time is your flight?

"...3 PM."

Chen Rancheng tapped the steering wheel, glanced at her, released the brake, and followed the flow of traffic.

Shen Tinghe turned to look out the window. A couple on the street seemed to have had a fight. The girl broke free from the boy and walked in the opposite direction. As the car moved forward, the girl's figure slowly became smaller.

The boy was silently following behind the girl in the area obscured by the rearview mirror, but she didn't see him.

The girl turned into a black dot and disappeared from sight. Shen Tinghe calmly looked away.

The road was clear, and the car stopped in front of the student dormitory.

"You can throw away the things you didn't take."

Chen Rancheng didn't respond, and Shen Tinghe knew he had heard her. "I'm leaving."

There was no goodbye, because I knew we would never see each other again.

Watching her departing figure, Chen Rancheng lowered the car window, lit a cigarette, and swished his thumb across the roller, the orange-red flame igniting the cigarette tip, white smoke billowing out.

I took a deep drag; the cigarette tip was crimson.

He swiped his phone open, and the screen was still showing his chat with Bai Tan.

The reply came from the other side: 9:00 AM.

Bai Tan works in aviation, and Chen Rancheng asked him for Shen Tinghe's flight information.

So the moment Shen Tinghe told him the flight information, he knew she was lying to him.

But he didn't expose it.

People like them shouldn't be saying goodbye at the airport.

The day he met Shen Tinghe was like a vibrant, cicada-filled, and sweet ice cream. She was like a strong yet gentle spring breeze, cutting through his monotonous and dull life.

She is lively and lovely yet dignified; she can stand on stage with grace and poise, and also get along well with children.

Without realizing it, I was drawn to her. She seemed bold, but she was actually quite shy; a gentle tease would make her ears turn red. When she looked at me with her clear, moist eyes, I wanted to give her everything.

Looking back, you still haven't entered her heart.

Chen Rancheng felt somewhat frustrated.

The sun was scorching hot on the car, how come it's only noon?

The next morning, Shen Tinghe pushed her suitcase out of the apartment. A car was parked on the side of the road, but she didn't notice it. She looked down and confirmed with the real estate agent that she had moved out.

When Shi Yu saw Shen Tinghe come out, she opened the trunk and got out of the car. "Miss Shen, Chen Si asked me to give you a ride."

Shen Tinghe looked over upon hearing the sound, her heart pounding. She then looked at the all-black car, its interior obscured.

Shi Yu, sensing her meaning, added, "Chen Si had something to do and couldn't come."

Shen Tinghe nodded, letting her thoughts wander, and watched him put the suitcase into the trunk without stopping him.

"What did he tell you?" Shen Tinghe couldn't help but ask in the car.

This "he" clearly refers to Chen Rancheng.

Shi Yu replied, "I told you your flight is at nine o'clock, so you won't be late."

The plane leaves at nine o'clock...

Shen Tinghe felt a mix of emotions.

The weather was pretty good today, and the plane took off on time without delay. Chen Rancheng stood in the monitoring room watching her calmly wait for her flight and calmly check in.

As she walked into the corridor after having her ticket checked, Shen Tinghe glanced back at the bustling hall, seemingly searching for something.

Chen Ran felt a tightness in his heart, a tingling sensation spreading from his heart, and a muffled chuckle overflowing from his chest.

It was worth it.
