Never getting tired of being together (bonus chapter)

Never getting tired of being together (bonus chapter)

The pale pink sky streamed into the room. Chen Rancheng was working in his study, while Shen Tinghe lay on the sofa watching a variety show, occasionally letting out a silly laugh.

Hearing the sound, Chen Rancheng looked outside, a slight smile unconsciously appearing on his lips, before returning his gaze to the documents.

A moment later, the phone rang, and a video call popped up.

Chen Rancheng answered the phone, and half of Shen Tinghe's face appeared on the screen, blinking her big eyes and fluttering her eyelashes.

Is something wrong? No, I just wanted to record a video to see you.

Occasionally, when Chen Rancheng came home late, Shen Tinghe would cook him a bowl of plain noodles, which was light and refreshing.

She has now honed her culinary skills, and her noodle-making skills are exceptional.

Of course, this unique title was bestowed by Chen Rancheng, and whether it is truly a case of beauty being in the eye of the beholder or a case of loving someone and everything about them remains to be discussed by a third, destined person.

Life goes on casually, with initial joy followed by enduring comfort. There aren't many dramatic events, but rather a warm and cozy atmosphere woven into the little things.

Chen Rancheng went on a business trip in early March, which was quite sudden.

The location and time were not mentioned, and they left in a hurry, leaving only a note.

"Don't worry, I'll be away on a business trip for a while."

Shen Tinghe continued to use refrigerator magnets to stick notes on the refrigerator, inevitably taking over Chen Rancheng's refrigerator as well, and asking him to send her a message on WeChat after landing.

As a result, no news came for a long time. This was the first time Shen Tinghe had encountered such a situation. She was very anxious, but had nowhere to ask.

He looked at the note he left behind again and again, his eyes fixed on the word "Don't worry".

Perhaps she was caught up in some thorny issue at work, so busy that she was completely overwhelmed, she comforted herself with this thought.

She received Chen Rancheng's message three days later. He briefly explained his situation and told her not to worry.

The two always had different schedules and never communicated at the same time, but that didn't stop their long chat history.

The signal was unstable on Chen Rancheng's end; he could only get three out of ten messages to be sent.

The messages she received were intermittent, and Shen Tinghe gradually realized that his signal might be bad, so she sent him messages herself, telling him everything, like a little chatterbox, but she wasn't usually like that.

Chen Rancheng could roughly picture her expression when the incident happened from her few words.

Time flies by like a white horse galloping past a crack in the wall. When I left, the magnolias had just bloomed, but when I returned, they had already withered.

Her sideburns were shaved up, making them look sharp and her eyebrows and eyes even more piercing. Only her smiling eyes looked soft when she looked at Shen Tinghe.

Shen Tinghe stood frozen at the table, spoon in hand. Chen Rancheng chuckled at her silly expression. "What are you eating?"

It was such an ordinary conversation, like they had just thrown out the trash.

On the vast and desolate highlands of the Northwest, a wild goose landed on a bare branch devoid of human habitation, causing the branch to tremble and also making Chen Tinghe's heart tremble.

Shen Tinghe threw down her spoon and rushed into Chen Rancheng's arms. The warm, thick chest made her feel as if she had been hanging in the air.

Shen Tinghe had no idea where he went on his business trip until he visited her father and mother.

Before going, Shen Tinghe had already met his parents. His aunt and uncle treated her very well, without the difficulties and disdain she had imagined.

Although my uncle was stern and rarely smiled, he would soften somewhat under my aunt's pressure. My aunt was gentle and dignified, displaying the demeanor of an elder in just the right way.

Chen Rancheng leaned close to her ear and asked her how she was doing in a voice only the two of them could hear. Shen Tinghe breathed a sigh of relief and replied that she was fine, and it would be a lie to say that she wasn't nervous.

He lowered his head and comforted her, saying that his mother was putting on airs over there and wasn't usually this serious.

Shen Tinghe was amused by him, saying that he shouldn't be embarrassing his own mother like that. But being teased by him actually made her feel much more relaxed.

Before leaving, her aunt gave her a jade bracelet, which was exquisite, translucent, and incredibly lustrous—it was clearly a fine piece of jade.

Unable to refuse, she turned to Chen Rancheng for help.

Chen Rancheng took the slip from her hand and said, "Take it, otherwise she won't feel safe."

Having learned from her previous experience, Shen Tinghe began to prepare him before going to her house, saying that her mother might be difficult to talk to, and that he shouldn't take it to heart. No matter what they said, she was determined to stay with him.

Chen Rancheng glanced at the rearview mirror, then turned to look at her, his heart softening. "I understand."

How others treat me is not important, as long as you treat me well.

With his arm resting on the car window, he turned the steering wheel to the right and the car slid into traffic. The more Shen Tinghe looked at him, the less nervous he seemed. "Aren't you nervous?"

Chen Rancheng gripped the steering wheel and tilted his head towards her. "How did you figure that out?"

"Feel."

He rubbed his hands on the steering wheel a few times, his palms getting cold. "He's faking it."

Lin Xueling knew that she had brought her friends back and prepared a big table of dishes, including braised prawns and sweet and sour pork ribs; she could smell the aroma in the hallway.

After dinner, the TV was still on in the living room, with the same old news broadcast, though the programs changed.

Lin Xueling had already forgotten the requirements she had made to Shen Tinghe, and was chatting with Chen Rancheng about this and that. Sure enough, the more a mother-in-law looked at her son-in-law, the happier she became, and Shen Tinghe's concerns were completely unnecessary.

The news broadcast is reporting a foreign news item: armed conflict broke out in Orisu in early March, with fighting raging, and my country immediately dispatched personnel to provide assistance...

On the television screen, sparks flew everywhere, and tall buildings were blasted to the ground in the blink of an eye, with grayness enveloping the entire city.

The camera panned, allowing Shen Tinghe to catch a glimpse of a familiar figure. It flashed by in less than a second, but she still saw it.

She turned to look at the person who was talking to her mother, listening to him answer her mother's questions slowly and deliberately.

Chen Rancheng noticed her gaze and silently asked her what was wrong. He had been drinking with Lao Chen, and his eyes were a little red. She shook her head to indicate that she was fine, just a little down.

The two didn't go home that night. Chen Rancheng had been drinking and couldn't drive, while Lin Xueling thought Shen Tinghe was a terrible driver at night. Since they had plenty of space at home, she simply let them stay.

They found some clothes that Chen Rancheng hadn't worn before, tidied him up, and then went back to his room to sleep. Old Chen, being old, couldn't stay awake any longer; after drinking, he was already snoring loudly.

Chen Rancheng smelled of her family's shower gel. She had been using this brand of shower gel since she was in school. When she went abroad to study, she bought different scented shower gels to distinguish them from the smell at home.

Every time I smell this scent, I feel like I'm coming home.

The scent emanating from him was like a wisp of smoke lingering in my heart.

Shen Tinghe burrowed into Chen Rancheng's arms, wrapped her arms around his waist, and buried her head in his neck.

"I saw you, on the news."

Chen Rancheng paused, reached behind her and stroked her back, resting his chin on her head. "Yes, I'm back."

Shen Tinghe didn't say anything, burying her face in his chest. After a while, she hummed softly.

A cold sensation came from her chest. Chen Rancheng pulled away, pressed her shoulder to look at her, and wiped away the tears that had overflowed from the corners of her eyes with his fingers.

"Don't cry?"

Shen Tinghe didn't want to cry, but the thought of spending more than a month in the ruins amidst the constant bombardment made his heart ache.

I couldn't just tell him not to go; all I could do was hug him tightly once I found out.

The little hand that had been on her waist started to wander, slipping under her clothes to touch her defined, chocolate-like abs. After a few circling touches, her gaze moved downwards.

His hand nimbly slid into the waistband and pinched the cool, soft lump.

Chen Rancheng grabbed her wrist in time to stop her, his eyes warning her.

The thing in my hand slowly came to life and hardened.

My hand was ruthlessly pulled away. "Stop messing around."

It's hard.

"I'll be down in a bit."

Shen Tinghe ignored her, her hand was grabbed, and her body disappeared; she slipped down in a flash.

A small mound rose between his legs, and Chen Ran felt the blood rush to his head. Just a second later, a surge of heat sprayed between his legs, and an electric current coursed through his heart, making his scalp tingle.

He rubbed his thumb across the glans, picking up the clear pre-ejaculate. Shen Tinghe leaned closer to smell it; there was no odor, but rather a faint, refreshing scent of bathwater.

I stuck out my tongue and licked it. As soon as it touched my penis, I felt a jolt. I tasted it in my mouth. It was hard to describe; it was a little salty.

The darkness gave her fearless courage, and she opened her mouth and took the tip in.

Chen Rancheng felt a sudden dizziness. He was lying on the bed where Shen Tinghe had always lived, with her parents next door, and he could vaguely hear Shen Qiujiang's gurgling.

With the last vestiges of his reason, he pulled her up, the blanket swept over her head, her long hair sticking out haphazardly behind her head, her lips pouting and tinged with a watery red.

Shen Tinghe was confused. "Are you feeling unwell?"

Chen Rancheng wanted to swear, so he smoothed her messy hair, kissed her lips, and said, "No."

He was so comfortable.

"The uncle and aunt are next door."

Shen Tinghe said nonchalantly, "Let's keep it down." As she spoke, she started to slide down again.

She had barely slipped when Chen Rancheng grabbed her. Shen Tinghe looked up at him, her eyes glistening with tears, "Don't you want to?"

He was obsessed.

Reason was gradually eroded, and he pulled the blanket over the person.

A restrained, muffled groan escaped from under the covers, and two spoons were stacked together, fitting snugly.

Considering the situation next door, Chen Rancheng didn't dare to move too much, instead gently rubbing against her at a precise angle and kissing her soft earlobe.

After an unknown amount of time, the movement on the bed finally stopped, and the thin blanket that had initially covered the two of them had long since been thrown to the floor.

A light rain, barely enough to soak through, evaporated as soon as it hit the ground, turning into an invisible veil that entwined between the two of them.
