Chapter 103 Your dream is so scary
"Why are you so nervous? I just saw that Penny was too bored alone, so I wanted to take her out for a walk."
"Nonsense! If I hadn't come back early, Penny would have been kidnapped by you!"
The more Ada thought about it, the more frightened he became, and he rushed forward again with his fists raised.
Jayce jumped up from the ground, dodged twice, and grabbed Ada's fist the third time.
"Okay, okay, if you keep hitting me I'm going to fight back." Jayce's tone became more aggressive, and suddenly he saw a piece of thin fingers sticking out from the window, and the disdain on his face faded a little.
"You can't hide Penny forever." Jayce adjusted his collar and pushed Ada back with one hand.
Ada took a few steps back, his back hitting the door with a clanging sound.
He was so angry that his whole body was shaking, his hands were clenched tightly, and his knuckles turned white.
Jayce ignored Ada, he knew the latter didn't dare to really fight with him.
Because Ada couldn't beat him at all.
This time, when he passed by Thor, he turned his head and gave a provocative smile.
"Hey, did you find a job?"
Thor didn't say anything. Jayce pointed his thumb behind him and said, "You can let Ada support you. He's not very smart anyway."
After Jayce left, Thor approached Ada, "Are you okay?"
"It's okay!" Ada replied stiffly.
He stood there for a while with his head down before walking into the yard to clean up the mess.
Instead of helping, Thor went into the room to see Penny.
It was rare for Penny to stand on the ground. She looked a little overwhelmed, and her silver starry eyes had lost their luster.
"Brother Thor," she heard Thor approaching and accurately called out his name again, "Why can't I go out?"
"Outside..." Thor smacked his lips, "It's quite a mess."
"Oh." Penny's voice was a little low.
She walked back to the bed, opened the cupboard door, and crawled inside.
After Ada finished cleaning up outside, he walked back into the house.
He saw that Penny was not there and the closet door was closed, so he walked over and whispered something.
Then Ada came to Thor.
"You, you can stay here for another three days, then leave. I remember there are jobs in town that offer accommodation, but they are a bit tiring. If you really can't stand it, go somewhere else."
Perhaps it was Sol's "idleness" and "indifferent observation" in the past two days that finally triggered Ada's bottom line, and he gave Sol a deadline for staying overnight.
"Okay." Thor nodded, ran to the table, and lay down with his back to Ada.
The room was very quiet, with only Ada's long sigh.
At night, Thor took a rare nap.
This time, he knew clearly that he was dreaming.
In his dream, he returned to the morgue and lay on the conveyor belt.
Hundreds of corpses that he had handled stood around him.
A corpse with its head split in half was holding a machete in his hand, aiming at Thor's skull.
A piece of meat that was torn into pieces but stacked together like building blocks, was tottering under the weight of a hammer.
"Thor."
Someone is calling him.
Thor pushed away the corpses that were trying to tear him into pieces and sat up from the transporter platform.
The densely packed corpses fell like dominoes.
Outside the corpse stood Golsa, who was wearing a pink bandage.
Even though he knew he was in a dream, Thor was still very respectful to the tower master.
"Tower Master."
Gorza raised his hands in an extremely strange motion and started from the beginning, unravelling his bandages bit by bit.
And underneath the bandage...
Nothing at all.
Thor slowly opened his mouth, surprised at his own guess about the identity of the tower master in his dream.
Is this the subconscious?
The bandages were removed to the eyes, and two silver eyeballs fell to the ground.
Golsa's mouth was still talking.
"Thor, do you know why I asked you to study the soul?"
The bandages around Gorza's body suddenly lost their support at the same time and fell to the ground, but his voice continued.
"Tell me, is it considered alive if there is only a soul?"
The corpses surrounded them again, and those with or without mouths were making sounds.
"Can you live like this with only a soul?"
"Brother Sol! Brother Sol!" the girl's voice sounded with tears in her eyes.
"What's wrong, Penny?" Thor turned over and sat up.
Penny's expression couldn't be seen in the darkness, but her hand that was holding Thor's collar was trembling slightly.
"Brother Thor, don't sleep."
"Your dream is so scary."
Was Penny also in his dream just now? Thor had no idea.
He rubbed his dizzy forehead, patted Penny's hand gently, and whispered, "Okay, Brother Sol won't sleep anymore. Don't be afraid, Penny, dreams are all fake, go back to sleep."
While Penny was in a trance, Thor cast a series of spells on her to repair minor injuries and increase resistance.
These are the only two witchcrafts he currently knows that are beneficial to the human body.
There is no way. If Penny continues to be immersed in Thor's dream, going crazy will be her best outcome.
After Thor's comfort, Penny was obviously much more relaxed.
She climbed briskly back to the closet and went to sleep.
But Thor couldn't sleep.
During the two years in the wizard tower, he hardly had any meaningless dreams.
So why did he have such a dream here, in Mofan Town?
Thor thought about it, half closed his eyes and spent the night in meditation.
But this night was a sleepless night for many people.
On the northern outskirts of Mofan Town, a loud noise was heard from the tower standing next to the Mosheng fruit field.
The soldiers guarding the Mosheng Fruit all lowered their heads and did not dare to look over there.
In the dilapidated tower, a middle-aged man with no hair on his body and no clothes on was standing in a witchcraft circle in the top floor room.
Outside the magic circle was the female corpse that he had just thrown out.
The girl who was taken away in the morning, now with her limbs cut off, was lying in the corner of the room.
Her eyes were wide open, with bloodshot eyes at the corners, and she died with her eyes open.
This first-level apprentice stood in the magic circle, the corners of his mouth twitching constantly and his expression was very terrifying.
His chest heaved violently, and after half an hour he slowly walked out of the magic circle, went to the shelf outside, took down a black robe and put it on.
"Rupert." He lowered his voice, but there was still cold anger in his voice.
The sound was not loud, but it reached the ears of the designated person.
The mayor of Mofan Town, who had been waiting outside the tower, took a deep breath, pushed the door open with trembling hands, and walked in quickly along the stairs that spiraled around the wall to the third floor.
"Lord Shelly." Mayor Rupert saw the female corpse opposite him as he entered the room. The skin on his face twitched, and he quickly suppressed his complicated emotions and saluted the first-level apprentice Shelly.
"I failed to get promoted this time." Sheri's voice was filled with reluctance. "But now I'm only a little bit away from becoming a Level 2 apprentice. Find a suitable girl and send her to me right away!"
"This? We need another girl?" Rupert was a little embarrassed. "We have taken away many girls recently, and the people in the town have begun to feel uneasy. Will Lord Yuka be suspicious when he comes back?"
Shelly looked at Rupert coldly, telling him to swallow the rest of his words.
"When I get promoted to level two, do I still have to worry about what he thinks?"
"Yes, yes..." A trace of cold sweat slid down Rupert's forehead.
"Oh, right, bring me two... no, bring me five Mosheng Fruits."
Rupert was startled again. Although he had just been warned, he had to remind him quietly, "But the barbarians will be here in two days. Next month, the masters from the wizard tower will come to take the grinding fruit... We don't have many left."
Shelly still didn't take it seriously. "No, Yuka will be back the day after tomorrow. If he finds out what we are doing, he will definitely stop us. Now I am only a little bit away from level 2. I must complete the promotion before the day after tomorrow."
He waved his hand again, his tone softening slightly, "When I reach level 2, I will have the confidence to confront those barbarians. Didn't we choose to do this in the first place to get rid of the barbarians' endless plunder?"
After hearing what Shelly said, Rupert's eyes became firm.
"Okay, I'll send someone to get the Mosheng fruit."
The mayor sent a message and came back with a sigh, "The Wizard Tower accepted our tribute but refused to help us completely eliminate the barbarians. We had no choice but to do business with them secretly."
When Rupert said this, he looked at Shelly carefully and lowered his voice again.
"But I just can't figure out why these barbarians don't want meat, so what do they want the grinding fruit for?"
