Chapter 190 Awakening
However, Thor finally returned to the normal timeline.
"Victor?" He looked for his brother.
But still no one responded to him.
Thor returned to the front hall again.
There was no one in the front hall, the door was open, and the floor tiles at the entrance were filled with rainwater.
The door was shaking, like a person's restless soul.
Lightning struck, and Thor once again saw the knight kneeling on the ground in the white light. This time he saw the knight's face.
It was Olaf after all.
This Olaf was not as calm as he was half a month ago. His face was full of panic, and blood was flowing from the corners of his eyes and nostrils, dripping onto the dull armor.
But compared to David, at least his facial features are not missing.
"What happened to them?"
"I don't know where Victor has gone." Even after returning to the present, Thor was a little anxious because he didn't see his brother.
"I was going to ask you where you've been?" But a familiar voice sounded behind him.
Thor turned around and saw Victor running down the stairs.
Victor ran to Thor and circled around him, making sure he had no wounds, and heaved a sigh of relief.
"Where did you go? You just disappeared in a flash. Is there some kind of witchcraft trap here?"
"I just suddenly arrived at the timeline of half a month ago. I don't know if it was an illusion or if there was really a time and space disorder. I even saw the team of soldiers that entered here half a month ago."
"Time and space confusion? Impossible? Even a third-level wizard can't do it." Victor waved the harp in his hand, "Or we should leave here, it's too dangerous! Maybe that treasure is not destined to belong to us."
"Baby..." Thor hesitated for a moment, "No, it's not time to quit yet. Although time and space are disordered, I haven't encountered any real danger."
Victor looked at his brother sadly.
"Silly brother, what treasure is more important than your life?"
Even so, Thor had no intention of quitting. He had finally come here and must find the treasure.
"What's in your hand?" Victor pointed at the small bottle that Thor was holding tightly in his hand.
Thor raised his hand to show Victor, "It's something from that team of soldiers. It's called holy water. It has some effect on ordinary spirits."
Victor took a look.
"Poor quality product, not even half as good as Holy Light. What poor fools, they didn't know what they were facing, and they took weapons made of straw and stepped into the lair of jackals. What do you keep it for?"
"If I can meet a spirit in a while, I will try it out."
"You want to see if it's an illusion?"
"Not exactly." Thor explained, "This thing is not stable and evaporates easily. Ordinary people don't have the corresponding storage methods. If it was brought in by the knights half a month ago, it should have expired by now. If it hasn't expired yet..."
Victor suddenly realized and continued, "That means you did bring something back from half a month ago."
"Then this place is terrible." Thor licked his cracked lips and lowered his voice.
Although he said it was terrible, Thor still had no intention of quitting.
"Where did you go just now? How did you get downstairs?"
"I immediately returned to the front room after you disappeared. The old wizard and the boy heard that you were missing and were kind enough to help me look for you. But we went our separate ways, and I don't know where they are now."
"Humph, you're looking for someone but not the treasure, right?" Thor immediately became alert and pushed Victor, "Let's go up quickly too, don't let others take the treasure away."
The two came to the stairs opposite the room.
The stairs here are made of stone, and the red velvet carpet extends from the stairs to the hall.
But because no one has taken care of it for a long time, its bright colors have faded.
Going up the steps, there is another spacious porch, and on one side of the porch is a spacious semicircular balcony.
Through the dense floor-to-ceiling windows, you can see the flowers on the balcony being ravaged by wind and rain.
There were lightning and thunder, and Thor vaguely saw a slender figure falling from the balcony railing.
It's a fall, not a flip.
Because the man fell headfirst.
Seeing Thor stop and look at the balcony, Victor also stopped.
"What's wrong?"
"I think..." Thor shook his head, "No, nothing. Let's look for it here."
On the other side of the porch are rows of rooms.
There were exquisite patterns carved on the door, but the lock was a little damaged.
"I wonder if my treasure is hidden in these rooms. Let's split up and look for it," Sol suggested.
But Victor hesitated, "If you disappear again..."
"Even if we act together, the space and time will still be messed up." Thor spread his hands.
Victor fell silent.
It was not until a thunderous sound caused both of them to look out the window at the same time that he agreed with Thor's question.
"Okay, then let's split up."
Thor nodded and immediately entered a house in the middle of the corridor.
He walked around inside and found nothing. When he came out, he saw Victor still standing in the corridor with a blank expression.
"What's wrong?" Thor looked at him blankly.
A smile appeared on Victor's face. "Nothing. Just to see if you will disappear again."
After saying that, he walked into the room next to Thor's.
Thor waited for the other party to go in before turning to the other room.
After entering, Thor closed the door casually, leaving only a small gap.
He hid behind the wall, suppressed his voice, and slowly exhaled a long breath.
Thor's pupils trembled slightly, and the cold sweat that had been suppressed for a long time was about to move between his pores.
He took several deep breaths, suppressing his body's instinctive fear reaction.
"This Victor..." He couldn't help swallowing his saliva, "Who is he?"
Thor tilted his head, glanced over his left shoulder, and quickly straightened his eyes.
"The diary doesn't give any hints. Victor and I became brothers inexplicably, and when I first met Wizard Kron, I completely forgot that I had ever met him. Was this due to the influence of the manor, or was there someone behind the scenes? Could it be Sid's grandfather Ralph? Is he the danger that the tower master mentioned?"
More than ten minutes ago, when Thor heard the sound and climbed over the wall of Ralph Manor, when his feet landed on the soft grass, his cognition suddenly became seriously confused.
He actually felt that he entered the manor to steal a treasure that was very important to him.
But apart from thinking that the treasure was very important, Sol didn't even know what the treasure was. It was like a drowning person desperately trying to grab a life-saving straw, but he didn't know what he could grab.
But the most terrifying thing was that Thor actually thought that there was a senior second-level apprentice named Victor traveling with him, who was his biological brother.
It's funny, Thor hadn't even seen this person before he climbed over the wall and landed on the ground.
At first, Thor didn't notice anything.
It was not until he entered the sun-filled hall for the first time that he realized his consciousness was disordered.
Not only did he forget the real purpose of his coming here, he also forgot his identity.
Eliminate the troubles left by Sid and look for clues in the diary of the dead wizard.
It was when he remembered the name of the diary that Thor's blurred consciousness and cognition gradually returned to normal.
What about Victor? Is he the cause of all the chaos, or is he a victim like Saul?
"Thor?"
Just as Thor was thinking, Victor's call came from the corridor again.
Thor stood up and casually walked around the room, "What is it?"
"…Nothing, just checking to see if my poor brother has disappeared."
Thor maintained his original tone and expression, walked out of the room, and waved to Victor who was standing not far away and looking at him, "Hurry up, let's find the treasure sooner and leave this damn place sooner."
