Chapter 624: Escape and Madness

“There are probably two spaces in this estate.”

In a narrow storage room, Lucy raised two fingers to the only remaining wizard beside her.

Brando looked solemn and nodded.

"Yes, I think so too. Otherwise, we wouldn't have found any trace of Thor and the lady after searching the entire manor."

Brando told Lucy what he saw when he entered the manor and what happened when only Thor was not present.

There are an unknown number of black shadow monsters outside. Only by sharing information can we cooperate with each other and resolve the crisis as soon as possible.

"If that's the case, then that little girl is the root cause of our loss of power and entry into the manor. Perhaps if we find that little girl, we can get our magic back."

Brando leaned against the door of the storage room to listen for any movement. He hadn't done this for a long time and almost forgot how to twist his neck to turn his head to the side.

“Or maybe we need to think of some other way. We all lost consciousness before entering here, and we are still unable to connect with our spiritual bodies. Maybe we are in some conscious world.”

Brando thought of Thor's consciousness space.

It was a place where he only stayed for a few seconds before he ran away out of fear.

"If you are completely addicted, it will be very difficult to wake up." Brando scratched his hair.

His mental power is already very outstanding among the second-level wizards, but he still cannot find the flaws in this world.

"There are bonuses from the rules of the Borderlands here. We cannot break through the restrictions with our own strength." Lucy admitted that it was quite dangerous here, but her expression was still calm.

"There are very corrosive shadows outside now. Do you have any other ideas?" Brando was considering whether to knock himself out.

At this moment, Lucy suddenly knelt down, clenched her fists, and gently placed them on her chin.

"The wrath of thunder shakes the world, and the sword of law cuts off evil. I, Lucy Golden Thunder, ask for your favor, Lord of Thunder Arik, and ask you to bestow your mighty power to dispel the obstruction before my eyes with thunder and lightning."

Brando looked on in amazement.

"Aren't you a wizard?"

How could a wizard make such a prayer gesture?

Lucy slowly raised her eyes and lowered her arms.

Brando noticed that Lucy's eyes suddenly flashed with tiny golden lightning.

"You, have you recovered your magic power?"

If this can restore his magic power, Brando doesn't mind praying to Alick, the Speaker of the Stargate Council!

Lucy saw Brando's expression and immediately knew what he was thinking.

She has seen too many envious looks like this since she was born.

Of course, the desire in Brando's eyes was more naked.

“When one’s power reaches a certain level, one becomes a god in the eyes of fools. But my prayers are a little different from those of believers.”

Lucy stood up slowly. "This kind of power cannot be used casually. Excessive use will make me lose myself and become my great-grandfather's puppet."

"Puppet?" Brando was shocked.

Then he noticed another word and his jaw dropped, "Zeng-Zeng-Zeng-Zeng-Grandfather?"

Lucy was also used to the shocked expressions on other people's faces when they first learned her identity, so she spread her hands expressionlessly.

“Crackle…”

A dazzling flash of electric light instantly filled the entire storage room.

Everything was completely covered in white light.

After a few seconds, Brando rubbed his eyes and barely regained his vision.

However, in this small storage room, there was no trace of Miss Lucy.

He opened his mouth, but for a moment he didn't know what to say.

"Wait, why did she leave on her own? With such a powerful sound effect, couldn't she have brought one more person?"

"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!"

The noise of the lightning was so loud that it startled the devil that was wandering outside the door.

The wooden door of the room was immediately slammed! Acrid white smoke gradually seeped out from the crack of the door, as if something outside was corroding the walls and door panels.

Brando was too tired to complain. He looked around and finally pulled out an iron rake used to sweep fallen leaves from a large bucket beside him.

"Sure enough, no one is reliable!"

Lucy opened her eyes and found herself back outside the dim manor.

The front hall, which had just been magnificent and from which music could be heard faintly, was so quiet that one could almost hear the sound of dust falling.

She looked around and was surprised to find that there were only Redbeard, Brando and the short wizard Durut outside the manor.

The blue-haired wizard, the mummy wizard, and that damned Kismet have all woken up and left! "When did they come back?"

Lucy was a little annoyed that she was not the first to return.

But she just bit her lip and didn't let the frustration control her any further.

She raised her hand and released several arcs of electricity.

"My magic power and mental strength are back as well." Lucy looked at Brando beside her, raised her hand and shot a flash of lightning at his chest.

However, Brando did not react at all and still stood in the corridor motionless.

“Crash!”

A scattering sound came from behind. Lucy turned around immediately and was surprised to see that the short wizard was broken into hundreds of pieces and fell to the ground.

“Crash!”

There was another noise.

Looking back, Lucy saw that one of Brando's arms had broken into pieces and fallen to the ground.

It is impossible for a person, even a second-level wizard, to survive if he is broken into pieces like this.

"It seems that even though I just left the old manor without magic, the commotion I caused has put Brando in trouble."

"He must be woken up!"

Lucy still has her own principles. Brando had just saved her, so she naturally would not let her die in the illusion.

But the opponent's body didn't react to the lightning at all.

Lucy hesitated for half a second, then suddenly raised her hand and pressed it on Brando's head.

"If you still can't wake up after this, then I have no other choice."

With a "bang", Brando fell backwards with a small burnt spot on his forehead.

However, when his body was halfway leaning back, it suddenly stopped, and then he supported himself with his waist and stood up again.

"Ha! Thank you, Miss Lucy, you are really kind and beautiful!"

When Brando lowered his head, he saw his shattered arm, but he didn't care. He moved his only remaining right hand, and huge power immediately accumulated between his muscles and bones according to his wishes.

"Very good, now we can have some fun with the owner of the manor." Brando grinned, as if he was the devil who wanted to invade the manor.

Lucy, who was observing Brando's situation, suddenly felt a twisted force coming from inside the manor.

The power seemed to tease the magic in her body, making her blood boil. A violent and chaotic mood quietly grew, and a strong desire for destruction made her chest rise and fall.

Opposite Lucy, Brando hadn't noticed that his smile was turning hideous little by little.

"Let's go." Brando's eyes were bloodshot, "Let's kill all the enemies inside!"

Lucy did not respond to Brando immediately, and golden arcs flashed in her eyes again.

The slight sting brought some of her sanity back to her.

"Calm down, Brando. Your mind has been polluted and affected. You cannot fall into the abyss on your own initiative."

Brando stopped halfway through his charge. He gasped and looked at Lucy who was also trying to stay rational.

"I think... I think this place is not a good place."

"Boom--" A window on the second floor suddenly shattered, and at the same time a figure flew out from it and landed heavily on the open space in front of the manor.

Lucy and Brando turned their heads at the same time and saw a man with his face shattered and sunken into his skull, lying on the ground, deader than dead.

Only his blue hair dyed with red and white barely revealed his identity as a dead body to the two of them! Looking back, Kismet's figure appeared in front of the broken window.

His long silver hair and fair face were splattered with blood, but he didn't care about the dirt on his face at all. He was smiling and leaning on the broken glass.
