Chapter 629: Level 3 Entry
Thor did not hear the sound of the wind chimes, but his soul lines scattered around were the first to sense those seemingly real and illusory wind chimes.
The milky white shell-shaped wind chimes move without wind, in a chaotic and disorderly manner, giving people a sense of weightlessness as if they are falling into an abyss at first glance.
It's the wind chime of Dream Maker Clark.
"Clark!" Lucy looked up and yelled at the wind chimes, "Kill Kismet!"
Kismet paused, then turned around and fled towards the rear gate without hesitation.
However, the entire room suddenly stretched out, and no matter how hard Kismet ran, he could not get close to the door.
Kismet seemed to realize that he could not escape from Clark in this way, so he stopped suddenly and stomped his feet.
The bricks and stones on the ground suddenly exploded one by one. The huge noise seemed to carry a new magical power, and it even made the wind chimes above the head begin to swing stiffly.
He also paid attention to Thor behind him and immediately found that Lucy, who had originally wanted to sneak attack Kismet, suddenly fell to the ground with her head covered.
It looked very painful.
Thor, on the other hand, could not hear anything and did not feel any other attacks.
Thor immediately used a spiritual armor technique to filter out some of the magic power, making Lucy behind him feel better.
When Thor shifted his attention back to the front, he found that Kismet had disappeared at some point.
The wind chimes above my head also resumed their disorderly swaying.
Thor then restored his hearing by treating his minor injuries, and then bent down to check on Lucy's condition.
Ugh... it's horrible.
He took out a cloak from the storage and draped it over Lucy's body, which was covered with only a few pieces of cloth.
Lucy's body was covered with huge wounds caused by the sound waves. Although the witchcraft prevented her from bleeding, her skin was torn and she looked horrible.
Thor took out a potion and handed it to Lucy. Lucy sat down against the wall, tightly grasping the cloak in front of her, but refused Thor's potion.
"Thank you, but I can't take my medicine right now."
One of Lucy's snow-white shoulders was still exposed. The huge wound on it was slowly bonding and would close again in just a few seconds. Even the cut was fading rapidly.
It doesn't look like witchcraft or self-healing ability, but more like the use of some kind of prop.
Thor simply took the potion back and took it himself.
He also had some minor wounds on his body, all from the aftermath of Kismet's attack.
Just as Thor stood up, he suddenly felt a hand grabbing his throat and lifting him up.
Thor felt like his neck was about to be broken.
He immediately wanted to counterattack, but couldn't catch any sign of attack.
He put his hands on his neck, but he didn't touch the arm that was strangling him.
Everything seemed to be air, just his imagination.
Like a dream without logic!
"Hmm..." Thor tried to leave his body, but found that the arm that was holding his throat was also holding his soul.
It made it impossible for him to leave the body.
Just as Thor's eyes widened and his hands were about to turn into tentacles, Lucy beside him suddenly spoke.
"Clark, let Thor go!"
All the wounds on Lucy's body had healed, and she managed to get up from the ground.
Although she was in a dishevel and still wearing Thor's cloak, she now straightened her chest and nodded, regaining her reserved yet proud demeanor.
However, Clark only relaxed his grip slightly and did not let go of Thor completely.
Thor grabbed Clark's wrist and tried to break free with magic, but he found that every time he wanted to cast a spell, he would feel a strange drowsiness that made him unable to mobilize his mental power.
Lucy frowned, "Sir Clark, Thor just saved my life from Kismet. No matter what conflicts you had with him before, please let him go first and at least give him a chance to explain."
Just then, a gust of wind blew, blowing the already messy furnishings in the room to the wall.
When the wind stopped, Pearl was already standing in the center of the room.
Seeing Thor being restrained, she was about to step forward, but then stopped.
"Clark, let Thor go."
Facing Pearl, Clark showed an ambiguous smile, "Are you feeling sorry for your little lover?"
The corners of Thor's mouth twitched.
Pei'er's face froze, and then she rolled her eyes in impatience.
"This kid has some abilities, it would be useful for me to keep him."
"You mean his ability to clean up pollution?" Clark said with a smile, "That's good, but I prefer to master this special ability in my own hands."
Clark suddenly pulled Thor closer, "For example, I will eat his soul directly, so that I can know what his ability is like."
Hearing the words "eat the soul", Pei'er's eyebrows twitched, thinking that he was hinting at something.
She lowered her head and deliberately lowered her posture. "His ability is useful to me. Besides, you also know his identity."
Clark narrowed his eyes. "Of course I know. A little wizard who is overestimating his own abilities and conspiring with you to kill me."
Lucy was stunned and couldn't say the words of plea.
Thor looked terrified and uttered a scale vaguely, as if he was begging for mercy.
Pearl's eyes were filled with ruthlessness. She suddenly rushed forward and turned into a whirlwind. She no longer cared about Thor in Clark's hand and directly trapped the two of them.
…
After the whirlwind, Pearl reappeared. She looked at the bodies of Clark and Thor on the ground, at a loss for a moment.
Lucy on the side was so scared that she stepped back repeatedly, looking at Pearl as if she saw a very scary monster.
Pearl lowered her head again, her eyes falling on Thor, who was lying on the ground with his eyes out of focus.
"What happened? I, I killed them all?" She clenched her fists unconsciously, feeling empty in her heart, without any sense of satisfaction at all.
"It was a dream." Ophelia's voice suddenly sounded in her mind.
Pearl breathed a sigh of relief, but became nervous again the next second.
"I didn't even react at all. Could it be that Clark is already close to the fourth level?"
"Heh." Ophelia chuckled disdainfully, "Even if he really eats you, it will only increase the probability of entering the fourth level."
Pearl tried to break free from the dream, but found that even though her strength was almost fully recovered, she still couldn't find the flaw in the dream.
"Ophelia, according to the agreement, it's your turn to take action!"
Pearl didn't need Ophelia to kill Clark personally, as the other party couldn't transmit such powerful force through her body.
She only needed Ophelia to help her get rid of the entanglement of dreams. As long as her mental power was not disturbed by the invasion of dreams, she would be able to keep Clark in the old manor forever.
However, Ophelia, who was supposed to fulfill her promise, suddenly became silent.
Pearl waited a moment.
Every second feels like a year.
"Ophelia?"
"Ophelia!!!"
Her face suddenly became hideous.
…
Thor looked at Pearl, who suddenly stood still and didn't speak, and immediately realized that Clark had attacked her.
Now Pearl may have been pulled into the dream.
Thor immediately "panicked" and tried to divert Clark's attention.
As long as Ophelia takes action, Pearl will be able to quickly break free from the dream. If Clark lets down his guard at this time, it will be the best opportunity for a sneak attack! (End of this chapter)
