Chapter 639: No Man's Land
"Why can the red sea tree calm the rioting abyss?" Thor didn't quite understand.
"The high-level wizards at that time speculated that there was something at the bottom of the Eye of the Abyss. It was this thing that had been driving the abyss deeper and deeper into the earth, and in the future it would even drill into this continent."
Speaking of the abyss, even Gorza looked serious.
"It is said that the Borderlands was designated by wizards at that time as the place where the Eye of the Abyss is likely to appear. Although the Eye of the Abyss has not appeared yet and no one can find out how deep it is, there have been two pollution outbreaks in the Borderlands."
"The people of Stargate call this kind of outbreak a small tide. Every time a small tide occurs, a large number of people will die..."
"Do you still remember the Baidong Academy that left the Borderlands?"
Thor nodded. "It is said that they escaped from the Borderlands."
Gorza chuckled, "Their third-level wizards at that time were contaminated in the last small tide. In the end, they could not suppress it and were driven out by Clark."
"But Clark, who was enjoying the resources left by Baidong, probably didn't expect that the next small tidal eruption would come so soon."
"Little Tide? Teacher, did you make that fake eye of the storm?"
"A fake eye of the storm does not affect the existence of the real eye of the storm." Gorza spread his eyes and said, "The appearance of the eye of the storm means that the anchor point will soon appear. It is said that the anchor point will guide the Eye of the Abyss. Every time an anchor point appears, it will speed up the progress of the Eye of the Abyss breaking through the world. If the black tide pollution brought by the abyss really breaks out here, the Arbitration Court and the Stargate Council may not be able to resist at all."
"By then, the connection between the three continents will be severed. The Arbitration Court and the Stargate Council will also go from being responsible for the defense of one side each to being attacked from both sides by the Black Tide."
Thor knew that if that situation really happened, the world would be destroyed quickly.
No Man's Land is like a balloon filled with water with a sharp thorn floating inside. You never know when the balloon will burst and all the water inside will be released.
People enjoy the coolness of the water balls, but are also afraid that the water balls will burst.
Golsa stood up and folded up the big pink sofa in an instant.
"Okay, I've told you almost everything. If you don't want to die in the Borderland, become a Level 3 as soon as possible. I'll give you a push, but the rest depends on you."
Gorza's words were so confusing that Thor felt uneasy.
How was he going to push himself? The next second, before Thor could ask, Golsa's figure disappeared along with his sofa.
However, Thor had just put away his sofa and wanted to discuss advancement with his own consciousnesses when he saw Gorza's figure appear in the same place again.
"I almost forgot one thing." Gorsa extended his right hand to Thor.
Thor looked down and saw that Golza's right wrist was twisted.
The right hand turned 360 degrees and appeared to be a normal hand on the surface.
Thor didn't know how he had maintained his movements without any abnormality and without letting himself notice anything.
"I used some tricks when I killed Clark. This is the aftereffect. Doctor Saul, please help me deal with it."
Thor looked up at Clark, "Is this caused by pollution?"
Gorza nodded casually, as if he was not the one who was contaminated.
Thor had a serious look on his face, because just by observation he found that the pollution on Gorza was similar to that in the Borderlands, but the source of the pollution was much stronger, or purer.
But Gorza had only just arrived in the Borderlands, a few months at most. How could the pollution on his body be more serious than some wizards who had been in the Borderlands for several years? Thor's index finger turned into a translucent gray-white tentacle and touched Gorza's wrist.
The tiny suction cups on the tentacles were like the mouths of small fish, bit by bit taking in the air around Gorza's wrist.
But as the suction cup expanded and contracted, little bits of inky black particles were extracted from Gorza's wrist and then drilled into the tips of Thor's tentacles.
In less than half an hour, Thor completely absorbed the black tide pollution in Gorsa's body.
When he took off his charred finger, the source of pollution inside almost spread to his palm through the wound of the severed finger.
Thor immediately used magic to seal the wound and preserved the severed finger.
"Does the pollution in your body come from the Kuroshio?"
Gorza nodded and smiled, "Yes, a very pure wave of the abyss. If it weren't for doing something bad, I wouldn't bring such a troublesome thing."
Good man, you look innocent and "do bad things", right? Thor was speechless, "I'll take this away. If you continue to stay in the no man's land with it, even if it has been banned, it may be contaminated again."
"I have completed all the things I came to Borderlands for, and I will leave soon." Gorza pointed at the forbidden bottle in Thor's hand, "But if you like it, I'll give it to you."
After saying this, Gorza disappeared again.
Thor put the sealed bottle into another box engraved with a more powerful sealing magic circle and reinforced the seal again.
After doing all this, he reviewed today's operations.
Unfortunately, the action was too sudden and he was not prepared to take part personally.
If he hadn't been so clear that Clark must be interested in the nightmare butterfly in his body, he would have probably been in trouble.
"It seems that I can never treat myself as a spectator in the future. Even people who seem to have nothing to do with me may drag me down at any time."
Penny has now emerged from the dream about his past, but is still hurt, and has now completely turned into a dead silver bookmark, dormant in the diary.
About half an hour later, Thor whispered to Kamu, who was motionless in the corner, "Teacher Gorza should have gone far away, right?"
Camus looked up at the ceiling and said nothing.
Although Camus didn't say anything, judging from her slightly relaxed attitude, Gorza should have gone far away.
Thor finally breathed a sigh of relief and sat down on a soft stone chair next to the laboratory table, which was not a sofa.
"Teacher Gorza disguised himself as a wizard from the Tribunal, sneaked into the Borderlands, forged the Eye of the Storm, and killed Clark."
"What on earth does he want to do?"
Saul always felt that Professor Gorza came here to cause trouble this time in order to do something bigger! After Gorza left, Byron came out of the laboratory on the third floor.
He looked at the basement with lingering fear and asked, "Gone?"
Thor nodded tiredly, "Let's go."
"Do you want to rest now, or discuss it first?"
Thor put his arms on the table, "Let me tell you what happened. Pearl will probably be here soon anyway, I'll wait for her."
However, until Thor finished telling the whole story, from telling it to Byron alone to telling it to the butler, Camus and all consciousnesses, Pearl never appeared.
Instead, it was Thor who waited for Brando on the third day.
I have been too busy these past two days, always working overtime, and have not had time to update. However, I have sorted out part of the plot. Although it is not the end of this volume, at least some threads have been straightened out.
I will make up for the missing updates during these two days of leave as soon as possible.
