Chapter 758 How about our cooperation

Chapter 758 How We Work Together We

walked through the open-air corridor, climbed several spiral stairs, and entered the dark archway.

Thor followed Ona all the way to the most solemn main hall in the entire castle.

He saw several more Ophelias along the way.

All I can say is that this woman is indeed much crazier than her sister.

When entering the main hall mentioned by Ona, Ona did not go in, but just made a gesture and asked Thor to enter alone.

The door opened and the room was unexpectedly dark.

However, with his excellent eyesight, Thor was able to easily see the scene inside.

The spacious main hall is covered with red velvet carpet and overhead is a huge and gorgeous chandelier.

There are also exquisite bronze candlesticks on the walls on both sides.

It's just that the light above and on the sides is dim.

Under each candlestick there is a white porcelain vase with a round bottom and a thin neck, but there are no decorations inside the vase.

Just a bare bottle.

These white porcelain bottles are laid out along with the candle lamps all the way to the end of the main hall.

At the end are thirty-three steps.

On the high platform above the stairs, there is a magnificent throne made of gold and silver.

But what was strange was that there was no one sitting on the throne. Instead, there was a white porcelain bottle of the same size and shape placed in the middle.

Where a person should have sat, there was a bottle sitting instead.

Funny, and a little creepy.

The midday sun barely penetrated the room, and the windows on either side were hidden behind heavy curtains.

The main hall was extremely dark.

There was a solemn and eerie atmosphere that crawled like a spider into every corner of the room.

“Crack!”

When Thor stepped completely into the main hall, the door behind him closed automatically.

The light and darkness in the room did not change noticeably.

Now it seems that Thor is the only one left in the main hall.

After waiting for a moment, Thor broke the silence.

"Ms. Ophelia, are you or your clone here?"

“Crash!”

The first thing that responded to Thor was the sound of water.

Then there was a murmur of laughter.

“Uh-huh!”

A skull suddenly rose from the thin-necked white porcelain bottle on the platform, and then it continued to rise, revealing a squeezed and deformed forehead, brow ridges, and eyes...

Until the entire human face was squeezed out of the white porcelain bottle, the piled-up pieces of flesh began to wriggle and twist, and then little by little turned into the beautiful face of Ophelia that Thor had just seen several times.

But her neck was still terribly long, more like an intestine.

"Welcome, Lord Thor."

Thor touched his chest and bowed, "Please forgive me for coming here uninvited."

Ophelia pursed her lips and smiled, "How can I blame you? Ever since you solved the outbreak of the eye of the storm by yourself without hurting anyone, I have always wanted to invite you to Sky City. I was just worried that the No Man's Land couldn't do without you, so I didn't take the liberty to invite you."

Thor was silent for a moment, then said, "The Borderlands will not be troubled by the eye of the storm in the short term, and I have been monitoring the situation there."

"Then why did you come all the way to Sky City?" Ophelia tilted her head, her neck bent like a wheat stalk.

"I'm here for the wind demon."

"Haha, wind demon?" Ophelia laughed again. She seemed to like laughing very much. "Why are you so distant? What is your relationship with her? Don't I know it?"

Saul was not embarrassed by Ophelia's teasing, but became a little serious.

"Of course I know what the relationship is between me and Pei'er, but I'm not sure what the relationship is between you and the Wind Demon."

With just one sentence, the smile on Ophelia's face disappeared.

"Oh, are you blaming me for letting someone else send my sister to heaven?"

Ophelia was not angry, but sighed softly.

"What else can I do? Pearl has long been targeted by the Stargate Council. According to the plan, she was supposed to be a stepping stone for Clarke's promotion, but it's a pity that Clarke herself was not up to the task and died at the hands of others."

She squinted at Thor and said, "You should know that other person too! Now think about it, besides him, who else would be so decisive?"

Could it be that Ophelia had already guessed that it was Master Gorza who killed Clark? Would the Stargate Council and the Tribunal also find out? Since the last time they parted, Master Gorza said that he would be promoted to the fourth level, and there has been no news since then.

Thor did not doubt whether he could be promoted to the fourth level, but he was worried that he would be targeted again.

Ophelia nodded at Thor and saw that he seemed to be thinking about something. Then she continued, "Although Pearl escaped because of Clark's death, Stargate, whose plan failed, did not intend to let her go. There was no other way. She had a small amount of wind demon blood in her body, which made her too easy to be targeted."

"Now that I think about it, when the Stargate Council and the Court of Arbitration agreed to help Pearl advance to the third level and move into the No Man's Land, they probably already thought about how to use her in the future."

After listening to this, Saul did not argue, but asked the other party: "According to what you said, if you were not forced to do so, you would not be willing to sacrifice Pearl?"

"certainly."

"So you and Pearl have a pretty good relationship?"

"After all, part of our blood comes from the same man."

Thor clapped his hands, "Well, if there's a chance that I can get Pearl back, would you be willing to do me a small favor?"

Ophelia slowly straightened her neck. "Oh? So you were waiting for me here?"

Thor suddenly felt a mental pressure that hit him like a huge rock, causing his body to shake twice.

The pressure comes not only from the front, but also from the white porcelain bottles with the same shape and style behind.

"Actually, this is a good attempt for you." Thor said under pressure, "After all, Pearl is now among the stars. I think you should be interested in that place as well."

Ophelia was not tempted. "I am yearning for the stars, but that side is also very dangerous and completely beyond my control. And just trying to bring Pearl back may attract very dangerous enemies."

"And there's a good chance there isn't even a body left of Pearl there."

Ophelia was right about this, the other side of the star was very dangerous, and Pearl really didn't even have a body left.

Saul was not in a hurry. "What if I say that I have contacted Pearl once and she is not in danger for the time being? Are you willing to take a risk?"

Ophelia's head suddenly stretched in front of Thor, and her slender white neck turned several times in the air.

"You have contacted the world across the starry sky? How did you do it? Did you master another star gate?"

Thor leaned back slightly to avoid Ophelia's beautiful yet terrifying head.

"Pearl and I had a special connection and we had a brief communication. But when I wanted to contact her again, I couldn't do it."

Thor tilted his head and without hesitation leaned close to the left ear of Ophelia, who only had a head, and whispered.

"Sir Ophelia, I am actually very curious about the world beyond the stars, so...how about we work together?"
