Chapter 798 Pegasus Welcoming Guests
Although Thor did not see how Kismet stopped Ophelia, he believed that guy must have a way.
While thinking, Thor had already landed on the westernmost coast of the Iskeper continent.
In order to find the members of the Glowing Family as quickly as possible and get rid of Ophelia's control, Thor deliberately chose the port with the largest population.
However, before Thor landed, a black shadow suddenly appeared on a hill close to the harbor, and then flew towards Thor at an extremely fast speed.
When it got closer, Thor realized that the flying black shadow was actually a huge coffin, nearly three meters long, and made entirely of black wood. It was the kind of coffin that was wide at the top and narrow at the bottom.
Thor stopped immediately.
The coffin on the opposite side also stopped less than thirty meters away from Thor, hovering in the air.
Thor narrowed his eyes. The person opposite him was also a third-level wizard.
Although there must be a lot of third-level wizards in the Stargate Council headquarters on the Iskeper continent, he didn't expect to find one near a random city he picked.
Because wizard resources are also limited, especially there are few high-level wizarding materials near ordinary people's cities, so most high-level wizards are concentrated in a few areas.
After the pitch-black coffin opposite stopped, the lid slowly opened, revealing the black mud filled inside.
The soil was mixed with dead leaves and grayish-white stones, and it looked like soil turned over from a random field.
Then a pale arm emerged from inside, followed by a naked shoulder, an equally pale body, and a slender neck with clearly visible purple-red veins.
Just... no head.
The neck suddenly tightened, and a purple-red rhizome emerged from the thumb-thick tip. After growing to a height of 5 cm, it suddenly separated and turned into two huge leaves with serrated edges.
Some are like Venus flytraps.
Emerald green on the outside and bright red on the inside.
A sound came from near the other person's neck.
"Wizard Thor, you should stay in the no-man's land. That is your territory and your responsibility."
The other party should be from the Stargate Council, but Thor didn't expect him to speak so domineeringly.
"Since it is a territory, it is not a cage." Thor said with a smile, "I haven't asked you yet, sir?"
"Oler. But it doesn't matter. You should go back."
Thor lowered his eyes and looked at the harbor and the waves below. "What if I don't go back?"
Ole, a man with a grass head and a human body, lying in the mud, pulled his other arm out of the mud.
The arm began to shrink from the forearm and turned into a purple-red vine. At the tip of the vine was also a pair of leaves with serrated edges.
"Then I'll take you back." The other party's voice was cold and didn't sound like he was joking.
Thor smiled, "That depends on whether you have the ability."
Seeing that a conflict was about to break out between the two, the humanoid package carried by Thor trembled.
Although Kate couldn't see outside, her mental power could roughly sense what was happening.
He didn't want to be between two third-level wizards who were about to start a fight.
I finally managed to escape from the cat's body, but I didn't expect the price to be entering the body of a mermaid, and it's so ugly.
"If I had known, I wouldn't have made a wish to the white porcelain cat so early. My wish did come true, but the way it was realized was too deceptive!"
Just as Kate was worried about her own safety and the atmosphere between Thor and Ole was becoming increasingly tense, another powerful magical wave erupted from the mountains where Ole had just come from, bringing with it a gust of air and flying over with great momentum.
Thor and Ole looked at the newcomer at the same time, neither choosing to take action at this time.
When the person came closer, Thor found that it was someone he knew.
Thor didn't know many people in the Stargate Council, except for Mentor Gorza who could barely be considered an insider. The other one was Corey, who was once his opponent and later became his comrade because of the outbreak of the Black Tide in the Borderlands and was good at emotional control.
I haven't seen him for nearly a year, and he is still a senior second-level wizard. It seems that it is really not easy to enter the third level.
Corey still had no expression on her face. She was wearing a gorgeous Rococo-style dress and looked more like a puppet than a living person.
She could see the tension between Thor and Ole, and even before she got close she could smell a fresh perfume different from the sea water.
This made Thor and Ole's tense nerves relax a little.
Most obviously, Ole retracted his arm, which had turned into a purple-red vine, into the soil.
Seeing this, Corey had no expression on his face, but he felt relieved in his heart.
As a second-level wizard, she had limited influence on two third-level wizards. The atmosphere was eased probably because neither side really wanted to fight.
It is more of an arrogant probing and a direct probing of confidence.
When he came between Thor and Ole, Corey nodded slightly to Thor and said, "Long time no see, Lord Thor."
The two of them also worked well together, and Thor nodded in return, "Hello, Wizard Corey."
After saying hello, Corey turned to face Ole.
"Sir Ole, Sir Thor has come to Iskaiper as a guest of the Stargate Council. Please allow me to entertain him."
"Guest? The Stargate Council didn't invite him, right?" Plant-head Oler chuckled.
Corey withstood the pressure from the third-level Aule, "If you are not a guest of the Stargate Council, you are also a guest of Glory."
When the word "glow" was mentioned, Ole finally gave in.
"Since he is your Huiguang's guest, you should entertain him."
After saying this, Ole prepared to lie back in the coffin.
He was lying down when he suddenly stopped, stretched out his human arm, picked up something from the edge of the coffin, threw it down, and then continued to lie down.
The heavy upper cover closed automatically with a dull "bang".
Then it bounced back into the mountains like a cannonball.
Corey then turned around and smiled at Thor.
Her smile only moved the muscles around her lips; her eyes didn't change at all.
Thor felt a little uncomfortable and pinched the bridge of his nose. "If you can't laugh, don't laugh."
"No," Corey's voice was flat, with a smile still fixed on his face, "The clan leader told me to practice dealing with people more and not act like an emotionless doll all the time."
The key is that your smile has no emotion! Thor complained in his mind and changed the subject, "Did the Aule wizard and the Glowing Family have a conflict just now?"
Corey glanced at Thor strangely, "He had a problem with you. His student Luke died in the Borderlands."
Luke was the last person who competed with Thor and Corey for the position of third-level wizard.
"His death had nothing to do with me."
"But you are the final winner." Corey said bluntly, "A third-level wizard is a very important bargaining chip."
"Does this mean you are considering yourself as a bargaining chip?" Thor asked with a smile.
Corey didn't answer, "Since you're here, do you want to go and meet Lord Norton, the leader of the Glowing Clan?"
Thor touched his chin, wondering whether Corey's appearance here, interrupting the conflict between him and Ole, was also related to the power of destiny that the water god Floco gave him.
"Are you waiting for me here on purpose?"
Corey turned back in surprise and pursed her lips. "The chief said that if you meet a guest, you can bring him back to meet him."
At this time, the two men were close to the harbor, and people on the shore could see them just by looking up.
But Thor stopped and said, "I'm afraid we won't be able to meet today."
Corey had no choice but to stop and look in the direction Thor was looking.
A horse-drawn carriage had stopped at the coast at some point, and the moment her eyes met it, the two horses pulling the carriage suddenly displayed a pair of huge black wings.
The two horses and the low-key carriage behind them suddenly took off, scaring the ordinary people around them and making them get out of the way.
Looking at the dark carriage approaching rapidly, Corey's pupils suddenly widened.
"The Pegasus of the Eternal Night Empire," she suddenly realized something and immediately looked at Thor beside her, muttering, "The highest-class vehicle used by the Court of Arbitration to receive guests."
Thor smiled bitterly, "Maybe he's worried that I'll be late."
The glory welcomes guests, and the Court of Arbitration intercepts
