Chapter 901 Meeting

Thor was finally taken away by two third-level wizards, one tall and one short.

By the way, take Byron along as well.

After agreeing to this rigid requirement, the two third-level wizards became much easier to talk to.

They immediately took out a carriage that was more luxurious than the one Sol was riding in now. Even the horses pulling the carriage were of the highest standard for the Court of Arbitration to receive guests.

But Thor sat in the carriage and looked at the two third-level wizards guarding outside the carriage, knowing that this carriage was just a cage provided by them.

Because Thor and Byron came out from another exit of the Borderlands, they did not pass through the Dwarf Valley when they went to the ultra-long-distance teleportation array of Nephrite. Although the distance was farther, the time taken was about the same.

Three days later, Thor arrived at the continent of Neflet in his Pegasus carriage.

He and Byron stepped out of the carriage and there was no one outside.

It seemed that the relationship had fallen out, and this time there was no fake event to welcome the nobles.

As soon as Thor and Byron got off the car, they were taken to a small castle on a cliff by the sea.

The walls of this castle are covered with green vines. If it were not on the coast of the Red Sea, it would probably attract many seabirds to roost.

It’s a pity that there are no animals or people here. Even the lush branches and leaves outside seem to be painted on by humans. There is no vitality, only a stiff silence.

After sending Thor and Byron into the castle, the two wizards, one tall and one short, stood guard at the door and did not follow them in.

Thor and Byron walked in the dark corridor and lit a fire to illuminate the surroundings.

In this castle that had been uninhabited for many years, the lights suddenly came on, but did not scare away any mosquitoes, snakes or ants.

"There is really no life here." Thor retracted his gaze, looked down at his feet, and suddenly stopped.

Byron immediately noticed Thor's action and lowered his head like him, only to find that after lighting the torch, neither he nor Thor had any shadow!

"How can there be no shadow if there is light?" Byron whispered.

"Maybe the light is fake, maybe the shadow is fake, maybe the darkness is fake." Thor said casually.

The two walked through a not-so-long corridor and saw a pair of black wooden double doors in front of them.

There were already many spots of decay on the door, and the exposed broken edges were black.

Thor looked inside from the gap and saw a dark shadow swaying.

However, Thor's mental scan did not reveal any living creatures or spirits.

He stepped forward and kicked the black door open.

The long-rotted wooden bolt on the door made a fragile cracking sound, slammed inward along the door axis, and hit the wall inside with a "bang". Then, under the action of the rebound force, the door axis broke completely and fell to the ground crookedly.

A lot of dust suddenly rose in the room.

“……” Byron looked at the door on the ground, lowered his head and remained silent.

Thor put a hand on the other's shoulder, "It's okay, senior, they have imprisoned us here, do we still need to care about protecting the environment of the cage?"

Then Byron suddenly said, "You crushed a man to death."

"?"

Thor quickly turned around and found that there was nothing under the door, no dead body and no blood.

But Saul did not immediately refute Byron, "You can see there is a person."

Byron still stared at the door. "My spirit told me there was nothing there, but my eyes told me there was a woman with a broken head."

But Thor's eyes and spirit told him that there was nothing there.

"Senior, in your eyes, are there other people here?"

Byron shook his head. "It's very strange. I didn't see anyone at first, but after the door collapsed, a body immediately appeared under the door panel. And judging by the wounds, it was killed by the door panel just now."

Thor waved his hand and pointed forward, "Do you think there is anyone here now?"

Byron shook his head slowly, "No."

Thor raised his hand and a soul blade immediately flew out.

The black broken blade flew out from Thor's fingertips and sank into the opposite wall, leaving a hole but without making any sound.

But Byron's eyes slowly opened wide, as if he had seen something incredible.

"Your witchcraft... just shot through a man's head!"

"Where?" Thor asked immediately.

Byron immediately used the marking technique to mark a bright spot about five meters in front of the two people.

"Right there, I marked that man on his forehead."

But when Thor looked over, it was still empty, with only a gray-black square stone slab covered with dust.

"Who of us is hallucinating?" Thor crossed his arms, remembering the swaying shadow he saw through the crack in the door before entering the room.

"It should be me." Byron rubbed his eyes, "I can still only see with my eyes."

At this moment, a voice suddenly rang out in this spacious hall which had nothing but walls and floors, and it caused waves of echoes.

"I'm curious too, why you can't see it, Thor."

It was Flim's voice.

He was actually waiting for them here!

Thor's eyes wandered around the hall. There were no windows in this hall, and the only light source was the fireball in front of Byron and Thor.

The fire flickered on and off, but there was still no shadow in the room.

"Sir Flim, won't you come forward? I'd really like to discuss this with you. What do you need me to see?"

"I'm already standing here." The voice came from the front.

"Ah!" Byron also looked straight ahead, and it looked as if he really saw someone.

Thor narrowed his eyes and tried to observe the front using semi-immersive meditation, but there was still no sign of anyone.

"You can't see the previous scene, so naturally you can't see me." Flim's voice came again.

Thor slowly lowered his hand, and he controlled his fingertips to extend a line of destiny, which slowly swept across the front.

Still no results.

"I see." Thor said suddenly, "You don't exist in this room. You exist in the eyes of Senior Byron."

Byron's first reaction was to touch his eyeballs, but he clearly didn't feel any foreign body.

Thor saw Byron's movements and shook his head. "What I just described was not accurate. What existed in your eyes was only the image of Lord Flim. So only your eyes saw it, and the rest of your body and your spirit would not feel it."

Light is normally not something you can touch.

But it can be felt in other ways.

But Thor was not in a hurry to see the other person, since he could hear Flim's voice anyway.

And maybe it was a good thing that he couldn't see Flim.

"I don't know why I can't see you. Do you want to take my eyes and study them?" Thor had a smile on his face. Although he couldn't see Flim, his eyes were always on where Flim should be.

"I asked you to come here this time, and I don't plan to study your witch body transformation formula for the time being."

Thor frowned, "What do you need me to do? You don't just want to lock me up, do you?"

“Thor…” Flim’s voice sounded a little heavy. “I hope you can help me, help the Tribunal, and help this world that is on the verge of doomsday and crumbling.”
