Close the ring

Tan Wan'er didn't mean to be offensive when she asked this question. Rather, she was wondering on a physical level whether the two of them were really sick.

No matter how you look at the current situation, it seems like they deliberately went to the island and got involved in the game in order to get the truth out and solve something.

Otherwise, it is really difficult to explain.

Ding Can shrugged and said uncertainly: "Maybe he is really a little sick?"

It is impossible that they came to Xiushen Island for no reason, otherwise the doctor would have discovered their identities as outsiders.

This body's previous identity must have passed the relatively strict screening on the island, but they had no memory of the body's previous identity this time, so they didn't know what disease it actually contracted.

If you have the chance, maybe try asking your doctor.

Her answer was confusing, but Zhang Qing didn't think there was anything wrong with it. Maybe it was a job requirement that required her to keep it secret.

"That's great," he stamped his foot, still willing to help think along. "But this requires long-term planning. We can't act rashly."

Ding Can nodded: "It's indeed not an opportunity yet."

There are only a few of them, so it is no exaggeration to say that they are outnumbered, not to mention that they know almost nothing about doctors.

But since we have an idea, it means we have hope.

The first thing to do is to explore the island as much as possible.

The island is not small, and due to the terrain, there are many places that patients will not set foot in, or are unable to reach.

No matter what the doctor is planning on a daily basis, it is impossible that his activities are limited to under the castle. Who knows, there may be a base for their experiments hidden somewhere else on the island.

The few of them continued to climb the slope. As they neared the top of the mountain, the temperature was even lower than when they first arrived.

The vegetation types were also different from before. Trees bearing fruit began to appear. Tan Wan'er warned, "We should see monkeys soon. Everyone, be careful."

On the way up the mountain, there was no place that could be called an artificial road, but near the top of the mountain, there were stone steps.

They are all rectangular, cut flat and of the same size, which saves some effort.

The stairs were also covered with fallen leaves. A quick glance told you that no one had been there for a long time.

It is estimated that the patients are unwilling to go far away, and instead choose to complete the task around the castle, which can also make supply more rapid.

As a result, few people come to the back mountain, and the top of the mountain is even less visited.

Without the intrusion of humans, the trees grew unusually lush, with vines and wildly growing branches blocking the way ahead.

Zhang Qing volunteered to lead the way, breaking off the blocking branches and creating a passage for people to walk through.

Monkeys are a very territorial species. Having lived here for a long time, they have long considered the entire mountain to be theirs.

Now that someone has broken in, of course the first thing to do is to warn of the threat.

Hearing the sounds of approaching monkeys, everyone's heart tightened. Soon, a dark shadow approached, and they finally saw the appearance of these wild monkeys.

Except for Tan Wan'er, whom she had met before, the others who saw him for the first time couldn't help but open their eyes wide.

This monkey doesn't look very strong and scary, or easily scare people, but it is just a little... humorous.

Monkeys have reddish-brown fur, so it's understandable that they have thick hair;

But on her relatively petite face, she actually has bangs that are more saturated and reddish.

It's very thick, and it's straight, like a weird headband, which doesn't make you look very smart.

Zhang Qing couldn't even hold back and laughed out loud with his teeth bared: "Are they really that good at fighting?"

Looking so silly, he even wondered if he often fell from trees.

Tan Wan'er was already on high alert: "Be careful, they are much more flexible than humans."

Ding Can glanced around: "Where is the Monkey King?"

She had already figured out a way to force the monkeys back and planned to subdue them directly with her fists. By then, the monkeys would be in chaos, making it easier to deal with them.

Tan Wan'er shook her head to indicate that she didn't know. The last time they met her, she didn't even have time to escape, let alone find the leader.

Yu Fu was holding something in his hand. When he heard her words, he had already glanced around silently: "I didn't see anything special."

"If someone breaks into the territory, shouldn't the monkey king rush to the front and set an example for the other monkeys?" Zhang Qing thought of the animal world he had seen before.

Could it be that he is still hiding behind and waiting to reap the benefits? Then how could he be regarded as the Monkey King? It would be better for him to be laid off early.

He turned his wrist and said, "Never mind it. I'll just hit a few of them first and they'll behave themselves."

Zhang Qing is still very confident in the explosive power of his arms.

Anyway, going up the mountain is inevitable and there is no way to retreat. Besides, these monkeys will not return to their nests. If we let them reach the top, a fight is inevitable.

Tan Wan'er held a sharpened branch in her hand. As long as any wild monkey dared to approach, she would first make a bloody hole on its body.

Zhang Qing used the same trick again, hanging his hands on the tree trunk. Except for his body being a little bigger, the rest of his posture was no different from that of a monkey.

As they got closer, it was probably the first time for these wild monkeys to see humans from this angle. They tilted their heads in confusion, and even wondered if they were their own kind.

Taking advantage of the time difference, Zhang Qing got closer and found an unlucky guy. He took advantage of the moment when the guy paused and jumped over him.

One hand grasped the tree trunk and pressed down slightly, following the swinging force. The other hand in the air opened its five fingers and slapped the monkey directly.

Even when the monkey was angry, its skin was pink, and after being hit, it looked even redder.

Not only was its head knocked to one side, but two teeth were also knocked out, and it made a series of cries, desperate to express something.

Although I couldn't understand the monkey language, I could still feel that the voice was a little different from that of other monkeys, and it seemed like there was a leak in their speech.

All the monkeys present responded, and amidst the loud cries, Ding Can heard a longer howl coming from afar.

Looking in that direction, she saw that it was behind where the monkeys were gathered the most. She thought that should be where the Monkey King was, but it was blocked by trees and other monkeys, so she couldn't find it at the first time.

"Found it, hold on."

The vegetation here grows relatively low, so when Ding Can runs over, he has to lower his upper body slightly to avoid being scratched by the protruding branches.

Hearing the sound of something running behind me, I knew I had attracted the attention of the monkeys.

There was a loud noise in front of her. The monkey was faster than her and jumped directly down from the tree, causing small pieces of fallen leaves on the ground to fly up.

Then there were a few more sounds. Several monkeys were already standing on the road, all with their mouths open, revealing their yellow and uneven teeth. There was no way to move forward unless they got rid of them.

Tan Wan'er rushed past her, unable to identify which monkey had bitten her. If she wanted revenge now, the entire monkey group would suffer.

She grabbed the end of the branch and used it as a javelin. After taking aim, she threw it directly, and it quickly hit a monkey's foot.

The monkey immediately jumped up in pain, then pulled out the tree trunk directly, and followed suit, throwing the bloody branch towards Tan Wan'er again.

It was just because he was injured, and he was just imitating without much practice, so his aim was unstable and it only landed at Tan Wan'er's feet.

But this kind of learning ability is already very strong. He just watched others do it once. Ding Can looked over again and felt that he could really see the emotions on those faces.

No matter what kind of animal it is, if it has a high IQ and is in a hostile situation, it can easily make people feel threatened.

Zhang Qing frowned, feeling that what he was facing were not wild monkeys, especially when he saw some of them were trying to learn his standing posture.

He tried to raise his right hand, and the monkey followed suit. It wasn't even a mirror image, but his own right hand. He couldn't help swallowing, "Why is it so creepy?"

Fortunately, it is daytime now. If it were night, I would be scared to death if I saw these ghost things in the dark forest.

The few of them huddled closer together, and Yu Fu held the thing in his hand tighter. It was a package wrapped in clothes.

Seeing them gather, the monkey naturally followed them. He calculated the distance and when he felt they were within his throwing range, he whispered quietly and quickly, "Get down!"

The reason why he spoke in a low voice was that he was afraid that these monkeys could understand human language. After all, he would not find anything strange to them.

The other three heard it clearly and squatted down together.

Seeing this, Yu Fu seized the opportunity, loosened the package, turned around on the spot, and the contents scattered out in a circle. They were the cabbage worms he had just collected.

After discovering that insects are resistant to high temperatures and will lose their ability to move under high temperatures, Yu Fu ensured a higher temperature inside the package.

Now that it has been released and returned to room temperature, it has naturally regained its ability.

After falling on the monkey, the skin color turned reddish-brown and was hidden among the hair.

The wild monkey, which was originally imitating the movements like a shadow, immediately struggled on the spot, trying to find the insect and peel it off.

When they really couldn't find anything, they started to help each other cleverly by looking for bugs on each other's bodies, which looked like they were catching lice.

Ding Can heard the familiar buzzing sound again. It was the insects communicating with each other. It wouldn't be long before the swarm of insects and the monkey in front of him entered a stalemate.

There was no need to investigate carefully, just by looking at the monkeys' jumping and fleeing reactions, you could tell that a battle had already broken out in the rear.

"Fortunately, I brought them with me." Zhang Qing's tone had a hint of surviving a disaster. He had been worried about these troublemakers suddenly retaliating along the way, but he didn't expect that they would be of great help now.

The wild monkeys looked ferocious just now, but now their movements are extremely panicked. At first glance, it looks like they are fighting in pairs.

Even their bangs were messed up. They jumped onto the trees to try to hide. They could keep up with the speed, but they couldn't do anything about the things on their bodies.

Also, because the barbs in the insect's mouthparts were fixed on the wound, it directly used its sharp nails to tear its body in half, and the hairy back of its hand was mixed with disgusting mucus.

At this moment, the monkeys were fighting hard with the insects and had no time to care about the humans in front of them who were not making any unusual movements.

The few of them avoided stepping on the soft-bodied insects on the ground and continued forward through the gaps. No monkeys followed them anymore.

Finally, I saw the monkey king a few dozen meters away.
