Condes Mountains

Condes Mountains

The man's palm slowly touched the side of his face, and his fingers trembled a few times when he touched the wound. I don't know if it hurt.

The next second he wiped the blood off his face, and after fainting he looked as red-faced as if he was going to perform on stage.

The facial expressions revealed are also extremely rich. Although the corners of his mouth are clearly raised, the direction of his muscles does not change at all, and he is smiling without any real smile.

The upper half of his face was extremely fragmented, his eyes were filled with hysteria, anger, and coldness.

"You're just courting death!"

As he spoke, he pulled out a pistol from his waist and pointed the muzzle at the two men.

No matter how fierce the fight was before, no one had ever used a gun first. Ding Can had no idea what they had done to offend this man that made him so angry.

Dasong's eyes suddenly widened. He grabbed Ding Can's elbow and pulled her back as fast as he could, shielding her with half his body. "Be careful."

The man pulled the trigger without hesitation. With a bang, the sound of the gunshot echoed throughout the cave.

Dasong stared ahead, feeling that all the movements in the scene in front of him slowed down, and the bullets passed through the air, creating small air currents.

He could almost see where the bullet was going and wondered what it would feel like if it hit him.

Gunshot wounds were not unfamiliar to him. Although he had never experienced one himself, he had heard his grandfather mention them many times.

Like Myron, my grandfather suffered many gunshot wounds during his years of patrolling and protecting forests, and these wounds became medals in their careers.

When a high-speed bullet passes through the skin and penetrates the human body, you will not feel pain immediately.

It's just the huge impact it brings that gives people a sense of propulsion.

As the brain senses the gunshot wound, the first reaction is to instantly activate the body's protective function. After the heartbeat speeds up, the person will be much more awake than before the injury.

What followed was a burning sensation that spread throughout the body.

And now, I am about to experience it.

As the bullet got closer, Dasong closed his eyes tightly. The next second, someone suddenly pushed him on the back, and then someone fell on him.

Ding Can's voice came from his ear: "Are you stupid? What are you blocking that you can avoid?"

She turned the flashlight to its brightest setting and shone it into the eyes of the man with the scratched face.

A strong light suddenly shot into the man's pupils, obstructing his vision. Everything in front of his eyes was white and he couldn't see anything.

But he still remembered the positions of the two henchmen clearly. He never put down his gun and fired several shots according to his memory.

Ding Can grabbed Dasong's shoulders and the two of them rolled to the side a few times.

Several bullets grazed his body.

"No, why is he not following the rules? Why is he shooting here?"

Dasong spoke with lingering fear. He almost thought he was finished.

Ding Can also breathed a sigh of relief: "The underground river is much wider than the tunnel just now, and the possibility of causing a landslide will be greatly reduced."

"But do you know about that gun? How many bullets are left in it?"

Dasong recalled the make of the pistol. The magazine could hold eight bullets. "There are only two left."

The man came to his senses, turned his back away from the flashlight, and tried to regain his normal vision.

The conditions for using the desensitized bull horn were just met. Ding Can took the bull horn in his hand, then immediately stuffed the flashlight into Dasong's arms and took the dagger from his hand.

"Lend it to me for a moment. When people come around, you can use the flashlight to move around and create the illusion that we're still together."

"Hey!" Dasong caught the flashlight in a panic. Before he could ask any questions, he saw her running away.

One of his hands was holding a dark object, and it was unknown what kind of weapon it was.

Seeing her jogging towards the man, he felt nervous and held the flashlight tighter.

When Ding Can was halfway through his run, the man had already turned around, and his eyes went straight past him and looked towards Dasong's position.

The desensitizing horn took effect. She saw the man raise the gun again, but he didn't pull the trigger. There were only two bullets left. He must want to make the most of them and use them all on the two of them.

For Ding Can, this was the first time he had used a dagger to hurt someone at close range.

Although I have used system items to cause harm to others in the past, I was just an enabler and didn't do it myself.

She thought she would hesitate.

But the reality was very strange. When she really got in front of the man, she didn't even pause, nor did she need to prepare herself mentally, she just went straight for the cut.

Leaning forward slightly, she was standing next to the man, her eyes narrowed, the tip of the knife stabbing straight at his wrist holding the gun.

Perhaps the knife was deep enough and cut the artery, blood spurted out along the wound, forming a bright red blood line, falling from mid-air.

My hand suddenly lost its strength and of course the gun fell down.

The disfigured man widened his eyes, looking in disbelief at the bright blood mark that suddenly appeared on his wrist. He knelt on one knee on the ground, covering his wrist.

Even though he often walked on the edge of life and death, he still suspected that he had seen a ghost.

The next scene was even more unbelievable. The gun that had fallen to the ground slowly floated up and stopped at a certain position, with the muzzle even pointed precisely at himself.

He hesitated and took a half step back, picked up a few stones beside him and threw them at the pistol.

The stone hit Ding Can through his hand, which was considered an indirect contact with Ding Can. The insensitive horns then lost their effect, and her figure began to appear in front of the man.

As his senses gradually recovered, what he saw was the process of transparent air gradually deepening into various colors and turning into a person again.

It looks like a ghost.

Noticing the other person's horrified look, Ding Can waved at him: "Hello!"

Unexpectedly, the man shrank even more nervously. God knows she originally wanted to say a few words to ease the atmosphere.

"What's wrong with this person? He's out of his mind."

Dasong was walking over slowly, looking at the person squatting on the ground with a frown.

From his perspective, he used the light from the flashlight to cause the opponent's vision error, and Ding Can took this opportunity to hide to the side and delivered a heavy blow.

Although it was a bit sudden, it wasn't as frightening as it is now.

"Who knows..." Ding Can said this, but he just raised his eyes and looked over again. The disfigured man quickly avoided his sight as if he had done something wrong.

She coughed twice and said, "Maybe I walked too much at night and ran into a ghost."

"I think I know why he was so angry just now. Look at him, look carefully. Doesn't he look a bit like that movie star Lime? He's quite handsome, just a little bit better than me."

Dasong looked at him carefully, and for a moment, he thought that the disfigured man looked quite good. Even with scars all over his face, one could still vaguely see his original appearance.

Ding Can had no idea who the Lime he was talking about was, but seeing that Dasong admitted that he was better looking than him, it was probably a high compliment.

And when she looked closely, she found that the man's bones were indeed in good condition. She had not been able to see it clearly at first because his face was covered in blood.

Ding Can was actually skeptical of this reason: "Are you saying it's because we scratched his face?"

"Just ask him and you'll know," Dasong said, crossing his arms. "It seems like he'll answer truthfully no matter what you ask, given his current state."

"Why don't you ask?"

Dasong encouraged him, "I just want to see him seem afraid of you. Don't miss this opportunity."

Ding Can twitched his lips: "Um, what's your name?"

The man mumbled, "Ma, Martin."

She coughed twice, still not quite accustomed to the change in status between the two parties. "Why did you shoot just now?"

"I've spent a lot of money on this face. The doctor told me to take good care of it and not let it get bumped or scratched."

While Martin was speaking, he kept looking at Ding Can's face. He didn't dare not answer, but was also afraid that he would say something that would displease her, and several wounds would appear out of nowhere on his body.

In fact, he doesn't care about the money, mainly because he has invested a lot of time and energy.

He relied on this thick skin to attract a lot of romantic interests, and he usually attracted a lot of attention when he walked on the street.

Dasong opened his mouth wide: "You had this done?"

He had just praised it with all his heart, but it turned out to be a fake face. It must have taken a lot of effort to make it like this. Maybe it was using Lime's face as a model.

The good looks I worked so hard to get were ruined by these two people. I must be angry.

"Thanks just now."

Joseph didn't know when the battle had already ended, and he came out of the underground river soaked.

He held the man's collar with one hand. He had already fainted and was unconscious. He threw the man to the riverside.

Dasong raised his chin and said, "It's no big deal, but it's mainly thanks to Ding Can."

Joseph gestured to her gratefully, and Ding Chan smiled back.

She turned her head again and threatened Martin: "Just stay here. If you make any more moves, I guarantee you will lose all your face."

Martin nodded quickly. "I understand."

The next second, he received a heavy blow on the back of his head. He was caught off guard and felt dizzy, and he passed out.

"Don't show any mercy to the bandits." Joseph understood the psychology of these thieves best. If he was left here, there was no telling what other emergencies might happen.

Never show kindness to people who don't need it.

Ding Can responded, "I'm grateful for your advice."

"I'm going to help the boss." Joseph turned his head and walked towards Ye Shan.

The two people fighting with Ye Shan were obviously better in skills. Unlike competing with Joseph in brute force, they focused more on agility and reaction ability.

Big Head and his companions took turns cooperating, hoping to find her weaknesses in each move.

But this woman seemed to be born to be a hexagonal warrior, and she managed to escape from critical situations several times.

It's like having eyes on my back, so I can always distract myself to deal with things.

For example, at this moment, it was clearly him who swung his fist, but Ye Shan jumped forward, using his arm as a fulcrum to continuously turn her body.

The long legs were wrapped around the back of the companion's neck, making a twisting posture, and the hands were placed on both sides of the head, clamping them backwards at the same time.

The men under her command had already begun to roll their eyes, and Big Head rushed forward with his finger spikes in his hands.

"Don't move!"

From a little distance away, a reminder came in a deliberately raised voice.

Ding Can and the other two who were rushing over, and Ye Shan who was exerting her strength, all stopped what they were doing and looked towards the source of the sound.

Dasong was the first to react: "Tuna!"

It was Dave, who had not appeared since Ye Shan and the others started the trouble, who had kidnapped Tuna at some point.

Dave raised a gun in his hand and placed it against her temples.

Tuna had obviously never seen such a situation before. She was so frightened by him that she dared not move at all. Only her sapphire-like eyes were filled with tears, full of signals for help.
