Daytime Horror

Ding Can had already gotten the battery, but he almost threw it out because of this sentence: "Aren't they a family of three?"

"But I saw the director chatting with that actor privately several times, and it was obvious they had a close relationship. How could the three ghosts, such important roles, be played by a family of three? There must be something fishy going on."

"Yeah?"

Ding Can stuffed the battery into his hand, thinking of the strange reaction of the male ghost actor he had just seen.

He doesn't seem to have a high status at home, and his wife doesn't seem to care much about him.

I'm afraid he doesn't even know he's being cuckolded.

It's a bit pitiful.

At this time, Gao Wenwen pulled her arms twice and motioned her to look towards a corner.

Sure enough, Ding Can saw the director holding a walkie-talkie and talking to the female ghost actor.

While he was speaking, staff members began to rush around, as if they were trying to avoid him.

"Are you being sneaky?" Gao Wenwen asked, looking for praise.

Although he felt that this was not an important matter in the incident, Ding Can still had an expression of doing a good job.

"Maybe there are useful clues. If we find anything else, we must exchange information in a timely manner."

She told Gao Wenwen what she had just told Shi Yan, and went to look for Xia Jialian again.

Although he looked like a normal person, Ding Can always felt that there was a little more attention on him because of his ears.

When we found him, he was testing the sound in the basement. The environment here was not as noisy as upstairs, so he could adapt better and adjust more clearly.

Ding Can patted his shoulder from behind. Xia Jialian, who was wearing headphones, slowly turned around. When he saw it was her, his expression relaxed and he took off his headphones.

"Did something special happen?"

Ding Can shook his head: "Don't be too far away from us. If something happens, it will be difficult to help."

"I understand. I won't drag you down." Xia Jialian's eyes were dull and his voice was flat.

Ding Can didn't mean that at all, but he felt that if he insisted on explaining it at this time, it might have the opposite effect.

She just smiled and said, "Will listening to the sound through headphones affect your ears?"

"It's a little sharp, but it'll be fine after a while."

Xia Jialian seemed to be genuinely interested in these radio equipment, and was studying them as if he was oblivious to what was happening outside.

When he entered the training camp, he was the calmest one, so calm that he didn't seem to worry about his own safety at all. Sometimes, Ding Can even felt that he seemed more relieved.

Maybe he is someone who has experienced cold eyes and hardships in life. He has seen a lot, so no matter what he encounters, his mood is not easily affected.

“One scene, one take, one shot!”

The film officially started shooting, and the first scene was that three people pushed suitcases to the door of the villa and were shocked by the scene in front of them.

The gate of the villa was old and rusty, but it still did not extinguish the hopes in the hearts of the few people.

With anticipation, Xiaomei carefully pushed the iron door open and walked into the villa where a few weeds grew.

The staff outside the camera broke the connection of the iron door, and the door fell down.

"Xiaomei, be careful!"

When Xiaomei heard her friend's reminder, she turned around immediately. The iron gate fell almost against her body, and then fell heavily to the ground. A lot of rust and fallen iron sheets fell to the side with a rustling sound.

“Cut!”

"The actor wasn't hurt?"

Shi Yan waved her hand to indicate that everything was fine, and her assistant immediately stepped forward with an umbrella to provide shade.

"The prop team, please install the door. We'll change the camera and do it again right away."

The venue was quickly cleared, and the iron gate fell several times at different angles. The director watched the replay on the monitor, and the scene was finally passed.

Behind him was the actor who played the car accident ghost. He seemed to be also interested in photography and was always hovering behind the monitor.

When Ding Can looked at him again now, he felt an inexplicable feeling of pity in his heart.

If my guess just now is correct, I don’t know whether this actor knows the truth or not.

If you didn’t know, you would probably think you were really lucky to have found this part-time job.

It would be even more miserable if he knew. He could only endure being cuckolded and not say anything. He even had to live in peace with his love rival. He must be a person with a pretty stable mood.

The male ghost actor was staring at the monitor intently, but suddenly his expression changed and he raised his nose to sniff around.

"Do you smell anything?"

The director was watching a replay when he heard the sound and turned around, confused: "What's that smell?"

The male ghost actor sniffed again: "It seems like something is burnt..."

"Fuck!" A worker cursed behind the pile of props.

The ashes he shook off while smoking fell onto the lawn, where there happened to be several nylon bags containing equipment.

The nylon bag was very flammable, and within a short period of time, the sparks had burned large holes in it, which seemed to be about to expand into flames.

His first reaction was to step on it, but more sparks flew up and the situation became even more out of control.

"Don't let the fire start!" the male ghost actor exclaimed.

Before he could finish his words, he had already rushed several meters away.

The filming equipment was powered on, so he first went to the porch to turn off the power switch to avoid the risk of burning the wires and causing an explosion due to leakage.

Then someone quickly brought the foam fire extinguisher from under the eaves over, white powder flew everywhere, and the fire was quickly extinguished.

This well-trained look is nothing compared to the panicked crew members on the set.

The director was so angry that he slammed the table and said, "Who hired you for that job? Why are you so angry?"

"This is my cousin. He just graduated from junior college and hasn't found a job yet. So I thought of bringing him to the crew to earn some extra money."

The assistant director came over flatteringly and fanned the director with the schedule in his hand.

The director obviously didn't buy it and waved his hand away: "He doesn't know, but you don't know it either. We have signed a contract with the landlord. If there is a safety accident, will we be able to find such a low budget in the future?"

He almost squeezed the last few words out of his mouth.

"Yes, yes, he's a bit of a smoker, but I promise I'll keep an eye on him for the next two days."

The assistant director winked at my cousin to come over.

The cousin also understood that he almost got into trouble, but he was young after all, and it was still a bit embarrassing to be yelled at like that.

He walked over slowly and apologized to the director with his neck stiff.

"Sorry, Director, I'm not smoking here anymore."

When he turned around to go back, the three figures standing in a row behind him scared him so much that he staggered back and almost fell down.

"You guys are sick, hiding behind me and not saying anything!"

The three members of the family stared at him in unison, and with their evil ghost makeup, they looked really spooky.

My cousin rubbed his arms, feeling a bit unlucky. If he had known this would happen, he would have gone to the Internet cafe all night instead of coming here to play games.

Before he could utter another harsh word, the assistant director rolled up the schedule into a tube and hit him hard on the back of the neck.

"Be polite, have you forgotten what I told you before I left?"

"I know." Although they grew up together, he was still a little afraid of his cousin.

There was just one thing he didn't understand. A few days before he left, his cousin told him that he must behave himself when working here and not cause any damage to the filming location.

Knowing that he likes to curse people, I specifically told him to control his temper.

It is said that the director does not like his subordinates to have dirty mouths.

But he clearly saw that the director had a bad temper and several employees in the group were ridiculed.

There's no other way. Since I'm already here, leaving now would be a waste of energy and I wouldn't get any money.

My cousin decided to endure it, but when he stopped looking for trouble, the three people opposite him became interested.

"Where's your lighter? Take it out." The female ghost actor said with a sad look on her face.

Her pupils are larger than those of ordinary people, and when she looks at people with her eyes closed, the whites of her eyes appear even smaller, to the point that people would be afraid if they looked at each other.

The cousin looked her over and said, "I already said I don't smoke anymore, what else do you want?"

"But he just said you're a heavy smoker. What if you smoke secretly and it starts a fire?"

My cousin clicked his tongue impatiently: "You're just a small-time actor, why do you care so much? Can I give you a bonus or something?"

He didn't want to get entangled with these people anymore. It was a waste of time. Since they were blocking his way, couldn't he just hide and leave from the side?

Seeing this, the male ghost actor grabbed a section of his forearm and said, "You must leave the lighter behind."

The hand that shook his felt like the frozen pork he had touched before. My cousin shuddered and looked down.

A layer of frost was clearly visible on the slightly dark skin, and the feeling of numbness spread almost to half of the body.

He opened his mouth and raised his head again, wanting to say something to the man, but he saw that the eyeball that remained on half of his head was oozing pus.

The half-molded face now looked like it had been actually scraped off.

He was so frightened that he couldn't utter a word.

"Just because this is my home..."

Originally, everyone thought that although this male ghost actor had ugly and scary makeup, he looked honest after all, and he looked dull even when he was resting.

After the accident, his facial features changed.

The voice seemed to come from the abyss, mixed with dull and hoarseness, causing people to shudder strangely.

The people around them immediately scattered and pushed away, and the four people standing in the center became even more conspicuous.

Except for Shi Yan who was filming in front of the camera, Ding Can and the other three were together just now.

Now Shi Yan also came over.

Several people looked over cautiously. Since the man was a ghost, there was no need to speculate on the identities of his wife and son.

"Our mission is not to get rid of these evil spirits, right?" Gao Wenwen spoke in a voice that only a few people could hear.

Xia Jialian's eyes flickered slightly: "We don't have any magical weapons. If they really want to kill us, it's hard to say whether we can survive."

"Saving our lives is the most important thing. When the time comes, we have to charge forward." A sharp look flashed across Shi Yan's face.

But no one dared to act rashly at this moment. Ding Can was already thinking about how to escape from the ghosts' pursuit in case of a riot.

But they were already in this strange camp entry test, which was not the real world, so where could they escape to?

The atmosphere suddenly became tense.

When everyone thought someone might die, the assistant director stepped forward.

He unconsciously rubbed his beard twice, probably feeling that the current situation was very frustrating.

After walking straight to his cousin's side, he actually separated his cousin and the male ghost with his hands, then rummaged through his cousin's pockets, found the cigarettes and lighter, and showed them to the male ghost.

"Mr. Fu, I promise I won't cause any more trouble. The agreed time hasn't arrived yet, and my brother can't leave. Can we continue filming?"

The onlookers were dumbfounded, wondering if this was some hidden camera prank.

However, it is difficult for them to convince themselves of the phenomenon that obviously cannot be solved by science.

Mr. Male Ghost was also not very happy. In the past one or two years, the humans who came here became more and more unruly and simply ignored the rules and regulations of the Double Management Bureau.

If it weren't for the fact that the rent offered this time was high enough, he really wouldn't want so many people to come together.

What's more, the fault lies with the living people. Even if they kick them out now, they are not the ones who are in breach of contract. They will just get less money, so there is no loss in the end.

Without waiting for a response, the assistant director asked again cautiously.

Unable to make a decision, the male ghost turned to ask the female ghost next to him: "Tai Nai, should we still take the photo?"

The female ghost frowned and looked down at the little ghost who was only as tall as her waist: "Ancestor, what do you say?"
