Liangfeng Community

Liangfeng Community

The rich aroma of tea had drifted throughout the living room. Song Yunchuan had already gone downstairs and was sitting at the table, slowly preparing milk tea. The small sugar cubes placed in the cup melted quickly before his eyes as the hot tea was poured in.

"I usually like to drink low-sugar drinks. If you think the sugar is not enough, you can add more."

He pushed the first cup in front of Ding Can: "Sister, you were feeling unwell just now. Drink something to warm your stomach first."

"Thank you," Ding Can took it. The temperature of the porcelain cup slowly rose in her hand. She raised it to her nose. "It smells good. Did you research it yourself, or did you learn it from your family?"

"I learned this from my father. Ever since I can remember, he would often make milk tea by the window. Back then, I would wait there without moving because I was so greedy. Even now, that figure can still appear clearly in front of me."

As Song Yunchuan spoke, his eyes were looking towards the window on the other side of the house.

Logically speaking, these memories existed in their childhood, before they moved to Liangfeng Community. Even when recalling the past, their eyes should not be fixed on one place.

Ding Can followed his gaze and began to pay close attention to the interior decoration.

Compared to the modern-looking buildings, this place is obviously much more retro. Almost all the objects are of age that can be seen at a glance, as if they are just covered with a new shell.

Song Yunchuan saw her confusion and said, "This was renovated after we moved into the community. The decoration style is almost exactly the same as that of our old home."

"That must have taken a lot of effort." Ding Can responded casually, but he noticed out of the corner of his eye that the cabinet next to it was completely beyond the normal household size.

Although there were indeed many cups of different materials placed inside, the dazzling array almost filled the cabinet.

She stood up with her milk tea and strolled towards that place. After she stopped, she confirmed her thoughts. There was a familiar aura lingering down there. It had nothing to do with the copy, but came from the system itself.

Gao Wenwen's voice came from the kitchen with his back turned: "Dinner will be served soon."

"Nomi, go set the table." Song Yunchuan issued instructions to the household robot.

The robot, which had been standing by the wall on standby, finally took action. The tray at the bottom allowed it to move smoothly on the floor.

Due to his daily job, Nomi looks very non-aggressive. His whole body is round with almost no sharp corners and is made up of many lumpy parts.

It skillfully and quickly arranged the tableware according to the number of people in the room, and began to prepare items such as tablecloths, even faster than humans.

After completing the instructions, he would walk to Song Yunchuan and ask him if he had any other arrangements, and then return to the wall, which is his own workstation, to recharge and take his daily rest time.

"I'll go pick out a suitable drink."

After Song Yunchuan stood up, Xia Jialian followed him to discuss wine knowledge to attract his attention.

Both of them seemed to have very insightful opinions on this. While they were talking, Ding Can finally had the opportunity to check the details around the cabinets. With the noise of the stove in the kitchen covering up the noise, the walls were solid, but the ground under his feet could clearly detect the difference in sound transmission.

There is a hidden world underneath, and judging from the layout of the house, there is no entrance to the basement, which means that the area under your feet is completely confidential.

Yu Fu stood beside her and looked at the cups again: "Apart from these cups, there are no other suspicious devices around. Perhaps one of them is a trap."

"We have to find a chance to search here, but it will be very difficult to avoid so many cameras in the house."

"My two guests, do you need anything?"

Ding Can turned around suddenly and saw that Nomi, who was supposed to rest in the original place, had come behind them without making any sound and did not even attract the attention of the other people in the room.

Nomi's round, bright eyes blinked a few times before continuing, "Do you need any help?"

Ding Can wasn't sure if the robot had heard what he had just said, so he maintained his composure. "No, I'm just admiring these cups. There are so many varieties, and I haven't even finished looking at them all in such a while."

Song Yunchuan poked his head over from the wine cabinet and said, "These are things my family bought and collected when they traveled around the world. It'll take a long time to examine them carefully. Let's take a look at them slowly after dinner."

It was not the time to alert the enemy yet, so Ding Can had no choice but to agree.

In the kitchen, Gao Wenwen and Shi Yan were serving the dishes. Song Yunchuan had already picked out a glass of wine from the wine cabinet and asked Xia Jialian to help hold it. "I always pray to my father before each meal. You guys take your seats first, I'll be up shortly."

Seeing his figure disappear after going to the second floor, Ding Can lowered his eyes. When he was wondering whether to take the opportunity to take risks, he received a call on his mobile phone.

Looking at the caller ID, it was Shu Yubei calling.

After leaving the surveillance area underground in the service center, he placed recording equipment there as well and entrusted it to Shu Yubei. She didn't even send a message but contacted him directly, which meant that there was something very important.

She pressed the answer button: "Hello?"

"Listen to me, evacuate Song Yunchuan's house immediately, or find a safe place to hide. The footage from his house isn't on the surveillance camera. Even if a bird flies over, the signal will be automatically blocked. But according to the monitoring data outside the house, your numbers suddenly reached 100 just now."

100 points means that they have reached the level of being cleared out, but after they came in, they actually didn't do anything out of the ordinary.

In addition, the bird mobile cameras used throughout the community were ineffective in capturing the footage.

Ding Can suddenly felt a little chilly, thinking that Song Yunchuan had found an excuse to leave the first floor just now, which meant that there were only five of them left on this floor.

Nomi had been standing in front of her since just now. She didn't even have time to put down her phone. The moment she looked at the robot, one of its round hands flew out, spinning at high speed in the middle of the process, and a cold light flashed from it.

The blade was as thin as a cicada's wing, but now it had become a weapon that could take a person's life. Everything happened so fast that there was no time to even warn him.

Fortunately, she was prepared in advance. She pulled Yu Fu and bent down to avoid the blade. The blade hit the cabinet at the back, and most of the porcelain cups inside were broken, and the porcelain pieces shattered in all directions.

Although I was wearing clothes to cover myself, some fragments still scraped across the back of my hand. Only after blood oozed out did I begin to realize that it hurt.

It was a quiet night and there were few pedestrians around the block. Several obvious figures appeared outside the window. Although they had closed the door tightly when they came in, it was still easily opened from the outside.

The masked figures looked very similar to the ones who were seen hunting the boy in the surveillance video in the afternoon. Ding Can even suspected that these were the same group of people in the afternoon, but there were even more of them.

It makes people feel that these people are always hiding in the dark corners of Liangfeng Community, and no matter when they receive orders, they can respond and solve problems in the first time.

Just like now, not long after receiving Shu Yubei's call, they were already nearby.

"The stairs are gone!" Gao Wenwen shouted, noticing that the stairs leading to the second floor had disappeared into the wall at some point. Even though he knew that upstairs was a safer place, there was no way to go up there now.

The living room was in chaos for a moment. The masked men who came in were wearing uniform clothes and their movements were very well-trained. They had already locked onto the targets they wanted to deal with the moment they entered the room.

"Leave the robot to me." Ding Can pulled down the curtain and threw it over. Before it could completely cover Nomi's body, it was cut into pieces by the blades that came out from all parts of its body.

It is now difficult to directly repeat the previous method of getting close to influence the internal data of the robot, especially with those blades around.

After looking around, he grabbed a golf club by the wall. The alloy material on it looked very sturdy.

After swinging it hard, although it didn't break like other things, the huge recoil still made her take two steps back. But she raised her eyebrows instead, as this was exactly the result she wanted.

The club causes the blade to temporarily freeze, but it also acts as a medium to create another way of contact.

Ding Can swung the club a few more times with force, and several scratches appeared on the paint surface, revealing a dark base color, and the entire club was noticeably bent.

The tiger's mouth was numb from the shock. The robot had no emotions and was not affected by the continuous attacks. Instead, it became even more aggressive.

In addition, it did not stand still, and the tray rollers under its feet pushed it closer and closer to him.

Ding Can had no choice but to take a small step back. In the chaos, he stepped on some round object and slipped, falling backwards, with his back hitting the cupboard hard.

Many of them had been broken just now, mixed with fragments of glass and porcelain cups, spreading to many parts of the back.

At first, she could still feel the pain coming from all over, but as she became extremely nervous and emotional, she stared at Nomi and felt that most of her body had lost consciousness.

Nomi felt that he had the upper hand, so he moved closer and trapped the man in the corner between the wall and the cabinet.

The place was small, and it didn't notice that it didn't have much room to move, so the speed of the blade's rotation slowed down.

Now! Ding Can squeezed the already broken club into the control part behind the blade, firmly stuck it, and then held it tighter with both hands.

She closed her eyes tightly, and when she opened them again, a light flashed quickly in her eyes.

Nomi's facial screen went black, turning into an ordinary metal ornament that seemed to have run out of power and could no longer perform subsequent activities.

After releasing his grip on the golf club, Ding Can noticed that his fingers had turned white. He unconsciously breathed a sigh of relief, squeezed out of the gap, and moved his feet slightly, causing a rustling sound under his feet.

At least in the short term, we no longer have to worry about the harm caused by technological products.

But there are still dangers everywhere in the living room.
