Chapter 10 Eat Well

Han Xiaojun sniffed.

He often quarrels with his parents at home.

I don’t know how many times I have skipped dinner like today.

His parents are very strong people. They never soften up to comfort him after a quarrel. They usually slam the door and scold him, or even unlock the door and beat him.

Han Xiaojun never thought that after what happened just now, the first thing he would see when he opened the door would be a bowl of fried rice specially prepared for him.

His brother can't cook. Han Xiaojun had just eaten the same fried rice at noon. He could tell that it was Chaoge's cooking.

And he just said not long ago that Chaoge was a beggar.

It felt like he punched someone with malice, but the person wasn't angry at all. Instead, he put medicine on his hand and asked him if it hurt.

"Come in and eat, we'll talk." Han Lin finally broke the silence first.

Han Xiaojun agreed, but he didn't take the fried rice and walked in with his head down.

The two brothers sat opposite each other at the small desk in the guest room.

Han Lin put the egg fried rice on the table and pushed it in front of Han Xiaojun: "Eat it and talk while you eat."

Han Xiaojun shook his head: "I'm not hungry."

In fact, he was very hungry, but he just didn't want to show weakness and didn't want to eat the food cooked by Chaoge.

"This is what Chaoge made for you," Han Lin said. "It's freshly made. Eat it while it's hot."

"I said I don't want to eat." Han Xiaojun is also a stubborn person, and when he says no, he means no.

Han Lin wanted to get angry again.

He obviously didn't have a bad temper, but when he met his family, Han Lin couldn't control himself.

Especially when his family members said bad things about Chaoge, Han Lin's heart felt like it was on fire, crackling.

But he promised Chaoge that he would have a good talk with Han Xiaojun.

Han Lin took a deep breath, put aside the nameless irritation, and said to Han Xiaojun in a calm tone: "I don't want to argue with you. Can we have a good communication?"

Han Xiaojun nodded.

"Didn't we agree before we came here that we should respect Chaoge?" Han Lin said, "Why did you say such hurtful words?"

Han Xiaojun didn't want to answer: "No reason."

"Aren't we supposed to communicate properly? How can we communicate if you act like this?" Han Lin said.

Han Xiaojun was silent for a while, then said, "Can we not talk about him?"

Han Lin looked down at him.

Han Xiaojun looks very similar to him, but his personality is completely different.

Since the day he came out, his mother must have said bad things about Chaoge in front of Han Xiaojun countless times. Han Lin didn't know what kind of image Chaoge had in Han Xiaojun's mind, but it must be a bad image.

Chaoge has a good impression of Han Xiaojun and hopes that he can have a good relationship with Han Xiaojun.

But if he wants to have a good relationship with Han Xiaojun, the prerequisite is that Han Xiaojun also likes Chaoge.

But it was obvious that Han Xiaojun didn't like it.

"This is where our conflict lies. We have nothing else to talk about except this matter," said Han Lin.

Han Xiaojun had kept his head down since Han Lin entered the room, and there was no eye contact between him and Han Lin until he heard these words, then he finally raised his eyes and looked at Han Lin.

Han Lin saw a pair of eyes filled with tears.

Han Xiaojun said with a trembling voice: "You are talking nonsense."

Han Lin was dumbfounded. How could this naughty kid...

"What did you say?" Han Lin asked.

Han Xiaojun refused to speak again. He turned his face away and kept his mouth shut stubbornly.

Han Lin has a headache.

He hadn't had such a headache in a long time.

Han Lin could only return to the previous topic: "In our family, the only person who can cook is Chaoge. If you don't want to eat his cooking, then there is nothing else to eat."

Han Xiaojun thought he could order takeout, since he had pocket money.

Han Lin used his poor child-coaxing skills: "It's delicious. I can eat two bowls at a time. You try it."

Han Xiaojun shook his head.

"Why are you so stubborn?" Han Lin wondered.

Han Xiaojun said: "Then why do you keep asking me to eat?"

Han Lin was stunned.

"I said I don't want to eat." Han Xiaojun said sullenly, "Why are you always forcing me like my parents?"

Han Lin was stumped by this question.

He found that he had used the wrong approach to treat Han Xiaojun, and that educating children was not an easy task.

He thought about it and said in a different way: "But if you don't eat dinner, we will worry about you. You are young and in the growth stage. If it were someone else, we wouldn't care whether he eats or not."

Han Xiaojun lowered his head and remained silent again.

Han Lin was very troubled, so he said that he didn't like children and that they were too difficult to communicate with. It was even more troublesome than communicating with difficult family members at work.

"Forget it, I'll put the food here. You can eat it or not." Han Lin lost his patience when it came to eating. "I came here mainly to talk to you about Chaoge."

Han Xiaojun frowned, his face full of resistance.

Han Lin said, "We're not talking about him, but what happened at the dinner table just now."

Han Xiaojun didn't say anything.

Han Lin ignored him and said directly: "Xiaojun, although we have little time together, I believe you are a kind and sensible child. You don't want to hurt others with bad words casually, right?"

Han Xiaojun lowered his head.

Han Lin said, "It's not just Chaoge. There are many people like Chaoge who have physical disabilities. Their lifestyles are different from ours to a certain extent. When they are different, your way of dealing with them is to ridicule and hurt them? Brother doesn't think you are that kind of person."

"Is that you?" Han Lin asked.

How could Han Xiaojun admit that he was such a person in front of Han Lin? He immediately shook his head: "Of course I am not."

He was just... just targeting Chaoge, and he was angry at the time.

"Chaoge can't speak, so knocking on the porcelain bowl is his way of reminding us to eat. If he doesn't, I can't see his sign language from somewhere else, and he has to find me to tell me, which is very troublesome." Han Lin said, "It's already very hard for him to cook, isn't it?"

Han Xiaojun pouted, thinking that there was no other way, so why did he have to bang the bowl?

Han Lin could probably guess what Han Xiaojun was thinking: "It's not necessary to knock on the bowl, but this is the most convenient, understand?"

"Oh." Han Xiaojun said sullenly, but still felt a little uncomfortable in his heart.

Han Lin felt that he had used up all his patience with the child for a year. Seeing that Han Xiaojun was still so stubborn, he was too lazy to talk to him anymore.

"I told you before that if you come to live here you must respect Chaoge and listen to him. If something like today happens again, I will send you back immediately. Do you understand?" Han Lin said.

Han Xiaojun nodded.

"Tomorrow is Sunday, remember to do your homework." Han Lin finally instructed, "Eat the meal, take it out and wash it clean. If you're not going to eat it, cover it with plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator."

After saying that, Han Lin didn't stay any longer and left the room directly.

This more than ten minutes of communication made Han Lin more certain of one thing.

He just couldn't communicate with the people in his family, no matter what he did.

Chaoge had been waiting for Han Lin in the room. When she saw Han Lin come in, she immediately sat up straight and looked at him expectantly.

Han Lin shrugged at him.

[What does shrug mean? How was your conversation?] Chaoge gestured and asked.

"Not so good." Han Lin sat on the bed and said, "Forget it, he's leaving after tomorrow anyway."

Chaoge was a little disappointed, but it was also expected. He knelt down and took two steps forward, then lay on Han Lin's back.

Han Lin patted his hands and said, "Don't think too much. This kid is in his rebellious period and has no control over his words. We won't have much interaction with him in the future, so let him do whatever he wants."

Chaoge did not refute Han Lin, but thought to herself, this is Han Lin's younger brother, how can she let him do whatever he wants?

The next day, Han Lin got up early to go to work as usual. When he left, Han Xiaojun was still sleeping in the house.

"I have an operation scheduled today, so I may not be able to get home on time. If I don't get home, please keep an eye on the time and send him back after six o'clock." Han Lin said, "Thank you for your hard work."

Chaoge nodded to indicate that he understood.

Han Lin particularly liked Chaoge's obedient look. He couldn't help but lower his head and kissed Chaoge: "My little wife."

Chaoge was a little embarrassed and nudged Han Lin with her elbow.

“I am your little husband,” Chaoge gestured.

Han Lin laughed: "You are Xiao Fugui."

Chaoge was speechless.

Han Lin loves to give him some weird nicknames. Because he cooks delicious food, he calls him Xiao Fugui, which comes from the cartoon "The Divine Chef Xiao Fugui". It makes Chaoge's scalp tingle.

[Go to work!] Chaoge pushed the man out the door, [The operation went well.]

Han Lin hummed: "See you tonight."

[mwah. ]

Today is Sunday, the day off that Chaoge has set for himself.

Since he doesn't have to work, Chaoge plans to do a thorough cleaning of the house.

Chaoge loves doing housework and enjoys the process of cleaning her home bit by bit.

Cleaning windows, mopping the floor, washing clothes, each household chore is also the best time to be alone. You can completely calm down and empty your mind, and occasionally catch some fleeting inspiration.

Because it was a new home, Chaoge did some simple cleaning every day, so the house was not dirty. Chaoge first took out the clothes and bed sheets that had been piled up for two days, and washed them in the washing machine in two batches.

After that, it was time to clean the windows. There were still a few residents here who were renovating their house, and the sounds of renovation could often be heard during the day. There was also a lot of dust outside. Chaoge mixed the water and wiped it, and the whole place became brighter.

Chaoge's mood also seemed to become clear and bright, and all the little haze was swept away.

Han Xiaojun was awakened by the sound of an electric drill outside. After waking up, he looked at the ceiling and felt very bad.

He'd originally planned to play it safe and go undercover here, but he lost control of his temper yesterday and that's what happened. He didn't know how much longer his brother would let him stay, and he had to go back to school tomorrow, and he hadn't finished his homework yet.

Why does the student have to do homework when he doesn't want to do it.

After Han Xiaojun briefly thought about his life, he couldn't hold his urine any longer, so he got up and went to the toilet.

When I walked out of the room, I saw Chaoge lying on the windowsill, watering the flowers with a watering can in one hand.

Han Xiaojun raised his eyebrows and went into the bathroom to wash up.

When he came out again, Chaoge in the living room started mopping the floor again.

While dragging, he twisted his body happily.

Han Xiaojun had never seen someone so happy doing housework.

Why does his brother have such a weird look in his eyes?

"Hello." Han Xiaojun shouted.

Chaoge turned around when she heard the voice and waved to him with a smile.

Han Xiaojun was in no mood to chat with Chaoge: "My brother went to work?"

Chaoge nodded.

Han Xiaojun said, "Oh," and said bluntly, "Breakfast."

Chaoge didn't feel uncomfortable with Han Xiaojun's tone. On the contrary, he was quite happy that Han Xiaojun was willing to ask him for breakfast. This proved that Han Xiaojun no longer resisted eating his food.

Chaoge put the mop aside, walked over to him and typed, "I didn't know you got up early today. Is it okay to eat noodles?"

Han Xiaojun snorted, neither saying yes nor no, and went into the house.

Chaoge stood there, holding up her phone and watching him walk further and further away.

After a few breaths, he went into the kitchen and cooked noodles for Han Xiaojun.
