Chapter 20 Eat Well

Chaoge was probably really tired. She slept very soundly in the second half of the night and didn't even notice Han Lin left.

The next day, Han Lin went out to patrol the room. When he came back, he found Chaoge still sleeping in the quilt. Han Lin lifted a corner of the quilt and found that Chaoge's face was abnormally red.

Han Lin touched Chaoge's forehead and it was hot.

Han Lin took out a forehead thermometer from the outer drawer and tested it on Chaoge. The temperature was 38.7 degrees.

I have a fever.

Han Lin sighed.

Chaoge was in poor health when he was a child. He fell ill from time to time and fever was a common occurrence.

I am feeling better now and don’t get sick as often, but I still get a fever for no apparent reason every now and then.

Han Lin went directly to the hospital to get medicine for Chaoge.

After returning, Han Lin was not in a hurry to go home after get off work. He went to the cafeteria downstairs to buy some porridge, and then came up to wake Chaoge up.

Chaoge woke up in a daze, not knowing where she was or who she was, and leaned limply in Han Lin's arms.

Han Lin hugged Chaoge, holding the bowl in one hand and feeding Chaoge porridge with the other.

Chaoge drank mechanically, chewing and swallowing numbly. After drinking half a bowl, he turned his head away and refused to drink any more.

Han Lin coaxed him softly in his ear and persuaded him to drink a few more spoonfuls.

When Chaoge really couldn't drink any more, Han Lin put the bowl aside and said, "Sleep a little longer. I'll wake you up and take your medicine in half an hour."

Chaoge didn't know whether he heard it or not, he turned over and lay on the bed and fell asleep again.

Chaoge's illness came suddenly, and it was not until the afternoon that he broke out in a sweat and became slightly more awake.

"How are you? Do you feel better?" Han Lin hugged him and slowly fed him water.

Chaoge nodded and snuggled obediently in Han Lin's arms, too tired to use sign language.

"Do you want to go home or continue to rest here?" Han Lin asked, "If you want to go home, blink your eyes. If you don't want to go home, close your eyes."

Chaoge blinked.

"Okay, then you lie down for a while. I'll pack up and take you back to sleep." Han Lin helped Chaoge lie back on the bed.

Chaoge buried half of his face in the quilt, blinking his eyes, silently staring at Han Lin packing his things outside.

Han Lin moved quickly, putting away the things in a few seconds, and then came back to help Chaoge sit up: "Shall I carry you?"

Chaoge shook his head and gestured slowly: [Walk slowly.]

"Okay, I'll help you." Han Lin said, "Your clothes are all wet, change into mine first."

Chaoge nodded weakly.

Han Lin took out a short-sleeved shirt from the closet and helped Chaoge change into it.

Han Lin is stronger than Chaoge. When his clothes were put on Chaoge, at first glance, one would think Chaoge was a high school student wearing his father's clothes.

Chaoge changed into clean clothes and felt much more sober. She got up and stood next to Han Lin.

[My legs are weak.] Chaoge gestures.

"Let me help you, let's go." Han Lin said.

They left the elevator and walked slowly to the underground parking lot.

After Chaoge got in the car, he closed his eyes and began to rest. Han Lin helped him fasten his seat belt and drove home.

Han Lin drove steadily and arrived downstairs of the community a few minutes later. Chaoge fell asleep again.

Han Lin simply carried him out of the car and carried him upstairs home.

After arriving home, Chaoge was carried back to bed by Han Lin to continue sleeping. After putting him down, Han Lin went to the kitchen to cook porridge.

Chaoge usually doesn't let him go to the kitchen. Han Lin's cooking skills are very poor, and he even makes porridge with soup and rice separated.

But now that Chaoge is sick, Han Lin feels that he can still make a move.

Wash the rice three times.

Pour water, pour rice, and turn on the fire to cook.

Han Lin plans to make a breakthrough today. In addition to white porridge, he also plans to make a refreshing smashed cucumber.

But the shape of the smashed cucumber was a bit inconsistent with Han Lin's aesthetics, so he took out a kitchen knife and cut the cucumber carefully.

Strive to make each piece the same size.

The question is about the surgeon's reputation.

After cutting, Han Lin arranged the cucumbers neatly on a plate and began to search for seasonings.

Soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, oyster sauce... Han Lin added them in little by little, and struggled to make a dish of smashed cucumber that was "full of color, aroma and taste".

When it's done, the porridge is almost done.

Han Lin opened the lid of the pot and found that the soup and rice were still separated.

A little bit overwhelmed.

But since it was already done, Han Lin decided to wait until it cooled down before bringing it to Chaoge.
