Chapter 105 I Have a Better Way

Fang Xiu remained expressionless and continued walking forward.

With a blink of his eye, more and more amusement rides appeared out of nowhere on the previously empty street.

Carousel, bumper cars, roller coaster...

This feeling is like loading a scene from an amusement park.

However, it has not yet finished loading; the scene is still somewhat unreal and incomplete.

Fang Xiu guessed that this was the nightmare's eerie realm gradually invading reality from the dream world. It hadn't fully invaded yet, but as the fear grew, the entire Green Vine City would probably be plunged into a dream world.

He walked straight through the amusement park, ignoring the unusual surroundings, and headed straight for the investigation bureau.

He now had to get to the investigation bureau as soon as possible, because the surrounding environment was clearly changing, and if he was delayed for too long, he might get lost.

Soon, he walked past the carousel, and before he knew it, a little girl in a white dress had appeared on the carousel.

The little girl's figure was faintly visible, her face beaming with an innocent smile, constantly giggling, clearly having a lot of fun.

"Uncle, come play with me!" the little girl invited Fang Xiu.

Fang Xiu stopped and calmly gazed at the innocent little girl. He raised his hand, and a scalpel tied to his silver hair flew out.

Whoosh!

The scalpel pierced the little girl's body as if piercing through a wisp of air.

Fang Xiu put away his scalpel, looked at the little girl and smiled, "Once you're fully in reality, Uncle will play with you some more."

After saying that, Fang Xiu left without looking back.

In the empty amusement park, only the cheerful laughter of little girls echoed.

As Fang Xiu continued forward and time passed, more and more strange phenomena appeared around him.

Faint whispers drifted through the empty streets, while countless figures moved about in the dark corners.

The sound of footsteps following closely behind.

The once bustling high-rise buildings have disappeared, replaced by eerie graveyards.

But all of this seemed to be incomplete, and Fang Xiu moved freely through it without being attacked.

During this time, he also encountered many panicked people, some wandering aimlessly, some driving recklessly, and others frantically worshipping the blood-red eyes in the sky.

Of course, most people just stayed at home, trembling with fear.

As the scene changed faster and faster, Fang Xiu started to imitate Spider-Man, using his silver hair as webs to fly through the surrounding buildings.

The situation in the sky is not too bad right now, and we can roughly figure out the direction.

Soon, Fang Xiu arrived at the Investigation Bureau.

Upon entering, one immediately senses a heavy and panicked atmosphere, with far fewer staff members present than usual.

Su Kexin was standing at the entrance, waiting anxiously.

She wasn't wearing a work uniform, but just a casual outfit. Her hair was a little messy, and she hadn't even had time to change her shoes. She was wearing pink women's slippers, revealing her delicate, white toes.

Upon seeing Fang Xiu, she was overjoyed and rushed to greet him, saying, "Investigator Fang, you've finally arrived! Please go to the conference room; Director Wang and the others are waiting for you there."

Fang Xiu calmly looked at Su Kexin and said, "Come with me for a moment."

As he spoke, Fang Xiu led Su Kexin to a secluded corner.

Su Kexin stood against the wall, looking up at Fang Xiu with a somewhat blank expression, wondering what he wanted to do.

Just as she was wondering what was going on, Fang Xiu got closer and closer, staring intently at her. She panicked and backed away, but her small body ended up pressed against the wall, with nowhere left to retreat.

"Investigator Fang... what's the matter? Director Wang is still waiting for you," Su Kexin said, her head lowered and her eyes darting away.

She was a little nervous because Fang Xiu looked exactly like he was about to pin her against the wall.

At this moment, she even began to wonder if Fang Xiu didn't like uniforms? He was usually so aloof, so why was she wearing casual clothes and slippers today, which caught his attention?

"Raise your head." Fang Xiu's calm voice rang in Su Kexin's ears.

Su Kexin subconsciously looked up, only to see a pair of eyes as calm as still water.

Those eyes were staring straight at him, without blinking.

Su Kexin's eyes kept darting around, and she nervously bit her rosy lower lip.

“Fang… Investigator, you…”

"It seems that it cannot be seen with the naked eye alone."

Fang Xiu suddenly blurted out a nonsensical sentence.

Su Kexin was taken aback: "What did you say...?"

Whoosh!

A flash of silver light.

A scalpel was inserted into Su Kexin's fair, swan-like neck.

Her words abruptly stopped, her eyes widening in disbelief, filled with terror, disbelief, and a hint of bewilderment.

Then, his pupils dilated, blood spilled from the corner of his rosy mouth, his little head tilted to the side, and he died.

Fang Xiu pulled out the scalpel, and Su Kexin's body collapsed to the ground like mud, blood gushing from her neck, and she even twitched twice.

"Is it real or a dream?" Fang Xiu murmured, then wiped the blood-stained scalpel on Su Kexin's clothes before heading towards the conference room.

"Insufficient information; we need to test the waters further."

Upon entering the conference room, countless eyes were immediately drawn to me.

Fang Xiu looked around and saw familiar faces such as Wang Dehai, Yang Ming, Shen Lingxue, and Zhao Hao, as well as several unfamiliar Spirit Masters.

Some of them were from the Investigation Bureau, while others were folk spirit masters.

With a formidable enemy at hand, the Bureau of Investigation has clearly mobilized all available resources.

Upon seeing Fang Xiu arrive, Wang Dehai immediately gave Yang Ming a wink.

Yang Ming immediately came over, holding a spiritual lie detector in his hand.

"Fang Xiu, you're finally here! What were you doing before? Why are you so late?"

"Something came up on the way and I was delayed," Fang Xiu replied calmly, then looked at the spiritual lie detector in Yang Ming's hand.

What does this mean?

Yang Ming said, "Fang Xiu, you have experienced the nightmare dream, so you should know very well that anything in a dream can be fake."

The nightmare has now undergone some kind of mutation; the dream world has transformed into a ghostly realm and begun to invade reality. Although it has not yet fully invaded, we must take precautions.

Everyone here has undergone a spiritual lie detector test to verify their true identity; now it's your turn.

“That makes sense,” Fang Xiu said calmly. “However, I have a better method.”

What's a better way?

Whoosh!

A flash of silver light appeared, and an extremely sharp scalpel stabbed straight towards Yang Ming's neck.
