Chapter 4 Hehe, my wife is so good

The fifth time.

Fang Xiu had come to a complete understanding: running away was useless, fear was useless, and he couldn't stay in bed with his eyes closed forever. If he wanted to live, he had to face his wife and truly ignore her; otherwise, he would never be able to leave the house.

"Honey, it's time for breakfast."

Fang Xiu ignored him, got up with lifeless eyes, got out of bed, and walked towards the bedroom door.

My wife was blocking the bedroom doorway.

Fang Xiu remained unmoved, as if he hadn't seen her at all, and went straight for his wife.

The imagined collision did not occur; Fang Xiu seemed to pass through a wisp of air without any hindrance.

He had already guessed that the two of them could not have physical contact until his wife was sure she could see.

My wife's recent intrusion into the bed is perfect proof of this.

He quickly made it out of the bedroom.

But his wife seemed determined not to let him go, flitting past Fang Xiu like a playful butterfly.

Then Fang Xiu died.

He died from poor acting skills, and from his inability to overcome his instinctive reactions.

It's very difficult for a person to not blink when someone punches them, even if the punch only stays a centimeter away from the tip of the nose. The instinctive reaction is still to blink.

That's how wives are. The more you ignore them, the closer they get to you. They might even appear like a ghost, floating right in front of you, so close that you could kiss them with just a pout.

At a time like this, even professional actors would be startled.

The sixth time.

Fang Xiu walked out of the bedroom without expression. He didn't rush out the door immediately, fearing that his unusual behavior would arouse suspicion. Instead, he planned to go to the bathroom first.

My wife seemed "shy" and didn't go to the toilet with me.

Just as Fang Xiu breathed a sigh of relief and began to relieve himself, a beautiful head slowly emerged from the toilet bowl.

Fang Xiu died again.

The seventh time, the eighth time, the ninth time, and the tenth time.

Fang Xiu had died in despair, in numbness, and in collapse.

He can't do it, he really can't.

No matter what I do, I can't overcome my instinctive reaction. My wife will suddenly appear in all sorts of ways, causing my gaze to involuntarily wander.

On one occasion, it even emerged from Fang Xiu's chest.

Running away won't work either, as any unusual behavior would directly trigger his wife's transformation.

The repeated deaths caused Fang Xiu's already tense nerves to finally break down.

He resisted, he ran away, he gave up on himself... It was all useless, nothing worked.

It was as if it were his destiny to die at the hands of his wife.

The eleventh time, the twelfth time, the thirteenth time...

"Honey, it's time for breakfast."

"Hehe, my wife is so good."

Fang Xiu has gone mad.

His mental state had completely deteriorated, from being rational and clear-headed to being insane and chaotic.

However, a wife is not a judge and will not let you off the hook just because you have become mentally ill.

The cycle of death continues.

What happens when someone is driven insane by a stimulus, and then, after they have gone insane, they are stimulated in the same way again?

Nobody knows...

The eighteenth time.

Fang Xiu lay calmly on the bed. If it weren't for his barely perceptible breathing and the instinctive beating of his heart, he would have looked like a corpse.

If someone could see his eyes at this moment, they would be horrified to discover that they were not the eyes of a living person at all.

His eyes were filled with a deathly stillness, like a stagnant pool of water, in which no human emotion could be seen at all.

It is said that the eyes are the windows to the soul, but Fang Xiu's windows were sealed with cement.

But if someone could see through that thick layer of cement, through those eyes so calm they were almost lifeless, they would discover...

Beneath the calm surface lies an unimaginable, suppressed madness!

And a hatred powerful enough to ignite the blood in one's veins!

That insane flame of hatred was burning fiercely—hatred for his wife, and boundless hatred for being killed eighteen times!

Some people are alive, but in reality, they are already dead.

Some people are crazy, but in reality, they are perfectly clear-headed.

This is the state of Fangxiu at this moment.

The multiple deaths drove him mad, but in the end, overwhelming hatred pulled him back to his senses amidst the madness. It can be said that his hatred for his wife reshaped his rationality.

Suddenly, Fang Xiu calmly sat up in bed, muttering unconsciously, "Die, die, die, you deserve to die. As long as I live, you will definitely die."

His voice was low and calm, without the slightest hint of emotion.

Speaking the most chilling words in the calmest voice.

"Honey, it's time for breakfast."

Just then, his wife's gentle voice rang out.

Fang Xiu pretended not to hear, got up, put on his shoes, got out of bed, walked straight past his wife's body, and then went to the toilet, washed up, and changed his clothes.

During this time, his wife continued to interfere as always, but Fang Xiu's gaze never changed in the slightest, as if he really couldn't see her.

After getting dressed, Fang Xiu even sat at the table and calmly ate breakfast.

Of course, he made his own breakfast: a fried egg, a sausage, sandwiched in whole-wheat bread, and a glass of milk—simple yet nutritious.

It's obvious that the more beautiful a woman is, the more likely she is to lie.

That's just how my wife is. She'll say it's time to eat breakfast, but she never actually makes any.

After finishing breakfast, Fang Xiu walked straight to the door.

He wanted to leave this place, to go out and investigate clues about his wife, to find the anomalies in this world; only in this way would he have a chance to take revenge.
