Fang Xiu and that immortal god of the Nine Provinces faced off against each other on the river of fate.
Suddenly, just like when he broke through to the seventh level, he began to foresee his future. The moment he foresaw it was like a butterfly gently flapping its wings, ultimately stirring up a monstrous wave on the river of fate.
The immortals' expressions changed drastically: "What have you done!?"
Fang Xiu grinned maliciously: "Predicting the future!"
The surging waves relentlessly battered the immortal, whose figure stood atop the river of fate, and began to sway. He constantly dodged the oncoming waves, not daring to be hit by them.
Everything unfolded exactly as Fang Xiu had predicted. The immortals' so-called leaping out of the river of fate was nothing more than building a ship on the river of fate.
Like a boat adrift on the river of fate, one will not be drowned in destiny like the rest of humanity.
But does being able to stay afloat while on a boat at sea mean you can fight the ocean?
It is obviously impossible. Even if you are on a giant ship with tens of thousands of tons, there is still a possibility of it sinking in the face of the surging sea.
This was Fang Xiu's plan. With his current strength, he was naturally unable to fight against immortals and gods, but he could borrow the power of the River of Destiny.
Because of his unique destiny, as long as he can predict his future, he will be drawn into the river of fate and unleash a monstrous wave. He had already experienced this when he broke through to the seventh level.
He intends to use the storms of fate to deal with the gods and immortals.
As it turns out, this tactic is quite effective; even gods and immortals, when faced with the sweeping tide of fate, can only scramble to avoid it.
Fang Xiu, activating his ethereal form, ignored the relentless onslaught of fate's waves, his face filled with an arrogant, sinister grin: "Hehehe... This is truly an unexpectedly pathetic state. Is this all a true god who has transcended the river of fate can achieve? Is this all there is to it?"
The immortal's face darkened, as if he had suffered a great humiliation. He never imagined that he would be so humiliated when he descended to the mortal realm to deal with an ant who was not even a demigod.
Just as he was about to speak, a huge wave crashed in his face. The immortal's expression changed, and he quickly dodged to avoid it.
"Zhou Qingfeng! You are indeed very capable, but don't forget, I am not alone. Behind me stand all the gods of the Nine Provinces! You cannot escape today!"
"Hehehe..." Fang Xiu's eyes gleamed with disdain, completely unconcerned about the threat from this immortal god. Instead, he sneered, "Then what are you waiting for? Tell them all to come down. You, a god, can't possibly stop me!"
"You!" The immortals were furious, never expecting Fang Xiu to be so arrogant, showing no respect for them whatsoever.
Just then, an aged voice resounded across the river of fate.
"How dare this little devil be so arrogant! Behold my methods!"
An old Taoist priest with white hair, white robes, and a white beard appeared in the River of Destiny, standing beside the previous immortal deity.
He gently waved the whisk in his hand, and an invisible force immediately spread out, calming the surging waves around him.
“Fellow Daoist Giant Spirit, the storms of the River of Destiny are under my control. You go and capture this demon,” the white-bearded old Daoist said calmly.
Giant Spirit? Fang Xiu's eyes flickered slightly as they fell upon the blurry figure of the immortal god. He could vaguely see that the other party was burly and wore golden armor, resembling an ancient fierce general.
Could it be the Giant Spirit God? A legendary deity with immense strength, capable of shaking the heavens and the earth!
"Thank you, Venerable Gantian," the Giant Spirit God said politely, then rode the waves and charged towards Fang Xiu.
"Zhou Qingfeng, two gods of the Nine Provinces are here today; you are doomed!"
Fang Xiu remained unmoved. "Only the two of you gods? Not enough, far from enough."
"Stop being so arrogant!" The Giant Spirit God had already rushed to Fang Xiu's side, launching a series of attacks. His terrifying divine power caused ripples to spread throughout the River of Destiny.
However, everything is useless in the face of intangibility.
The Giant Spirit God was not disappointed. He knew the strangeness of the Void Path. What he wanted was not a fatal blow, but to give Fang Xiu no chance to catch his breath.
Fang Xiu stood unmoved on the River of Destiny, gazing at the two immortals before him. He shook his head slightly, a look of disappointment on his face: "I had intended to lure in more immortals before dealing with them all at once, but I didn't expect you two to be so uncooperative. Fine, I'll deal with you two first."
His arrogant words drew a sneer from Venerable Gantian.
"It seems you've been corrupted by demonic energy, to the point that you can utter such nonsense. I'd like to see how you intend to deal with us."
Fang Xiu's lips curled into a sinister smile: "I hope you don't try to run away later."
"Escape?" Venerable Gan Tian sneered: "Even when facing a group of demon gods, I have never escaped, let alone an ant like you who is not even a demon god."
Fang Xiu's smile widened. He stopped speaking and closed his eyes, focusing on deduce his future. Soon, as before, he saw nothingness.
It has no beginning and no end, no form and no substance, nothing at all.
He can't see his future at all, unless... he dies and gets a rollback!
The Venerable Gan Tian looked disdainful: "Playing tricks."
But the next second, his expression changed, and he looked around in horror. He didn't know when, but the River of Destiny had completely boiled over, as if someone was heating it up at the bottom of the river.
"What... what's going on?"
Before he could even finish being shocked, another unexpected event occurred.
Rumble—!
A storm, a hundred times stronger than before, arose on the river of fate, as if several tornadoes had appeared at the bottom of the river, turning the world upside down.
"You...you...what have you done?!" Venerable Gantian was horrified. He frantically waved his whisk, trying to suppress the storm, but to no avail. The storm was too great, so great that the entire River of Destiny seemed to be turning over.
He couldn't understand why an ant, who wasn't even a demigod, could provoke such a huge reaction from the river of fate.
In fact, what Venerable Gan Tian didn't know was that the one who truly triggered the reaction was not Fang Xiu, but his wife.
That's right, Fang Xiu used the death rollback to break through the fog of the future once again and saw himself and his wife in the future.
The last time he did this, it triggered a violent reaction from the river of fate, and today, he did it again.
Fang Xiu suddenly opened his eyes, his gaze intense. He looked at his masterpiece with satisfaction, then at the two panicked immortals and gods: "Hehehe... Feel the power of destiny!"
"Not good! Fellow Daoist Giant Spirit, leave quickly! This place is not safe to stay any longer!" Venerable Gan Tian cried out in a panic.
