While Fang Xiu was pondering, it was already noon. He randomly found a ramen shop, ate a bowl of ramen, and then continued on his way.
He wanted to observe more strange occurrences and uncover more truths.
Soon, it was afternoon, and dusk had fallen.
The dim sunlight shone on Green Vine City, as if the entire city was shrouded in a gloom, and the eeriness in the city became increasingly blurred and sinister.
Finally, Fang Xiu arrived near Bai Liu Academy.
Bailiu Academy is a luxurious villa area. Although the location is relatively remote and the surrounding streets are empty with no pedestrians, it still cannot hide the fact that every inch of land is extremely valuable.
Villas are designed for luxury and tranquility, making them ideal for keeping mistresses or setting up underground clubs.
Those who can afford to buy a house here are mostly chauffeured around in luxury cars. This distance is nothing to them; they value the tranquility of the place even more.
Fang Xiu rode a shared bicycle on a quiet, tree-lined road. The greenery on both sides was excellent, with shady trees and lush flowers and plants, all trimmed into various exquisite shapes.
This road was renovated at great expense by the developer of Bailiu Academy, because it is the main road leading to the academy, and Bailiu Academy is located at the end of the road.
Perhaps because the place is relatively remote and sparsely populated, there are few strange occurrences nearby, only a few here and there.
Fang Xiu crossed the main road, and suddenly stopped, carefully examining the buildings in front of him.
There was an undercurrent of emotion surging beneath his calm eyes.
Bailiu Academy... is gone!
A large area of villas that was once scenic, neat, and luxurious has disappeared.
Instead, a mental hospital was built.
The mental hospital occupies a large area and consists of several buildings connected by sky bridges.
The walls were dilapidated, with paint peeling off in many places, as if they had been abandoned for a long time, giving off an eerie and terrifying feeling.
The sign at the entrance was tilted and covered in dust, but the name was still legible.
Qingshan Mental Hospital.
Fang Xiu stared expressionlessly at the mental hospital in front of him, knowing full well that he had not gone the wrong way.
This place was originally Bailiu Academy, not Qingshan Mental Hospital.
"Is it another weird phenomenon? Unlike the previous living weird phenomenon, this time it's a mental hospital? Or is this mental hospital also a product of the supernatural?"
Fang Xiu became curious and wanted to investigate. This was the first time he had seen such a scene on his journey, and his intuition told him that it might contain some strange secrets.
Immediately, Fang Xiu put down his bicycle and turned on his phone.
He had turned off his phone earlier because his manager, Wu Dahai, kept harassing him with phone calls, and he found it troublesome, so he turned it off.
When I checked my phone, I saw 13 missed calls from Wu Dahai and three more from Zhao Hao.
Zhao Hao is Fang Xiu's colleague, and the two are usually the closest of friends.
After thinking for a moment, Fang Xiu dialed Zhao Hao's number.
Beep beep beep...
After waiting for about thirty seconds, Zhao Hao's panting and deliberately low voice came from the other end of the phone.
"Brother Xiu, why did it take you so long to call back? What's going on over there? That bastard Wu Dahai has gone berserk. He said he's going to fire you and make sure you don't get a single penny."
A rapid-fire string of words came from the other end of the phone, filled with anxiety and concern.
Fang Xiu fell silent.
Is the person alright?
Although Bailiu Academy has clearly been turned into a mental hospital, it seems that the colleagues working there have not been affected.
Hallucination?
Or is this mental hospital, like those other eerie buildings, a strange structure that only the person in question can see?
"Brother Xiu, why aren't you saying anything? Did something happen to you?"
"I'm fine," Fang Xiu's calm voice rang out. "Are you still at work?"
"Yeah, we're all at work. You didn't come today, and that damn Wu Dahai took all his anger out on us, making us work overtime again. Oh, and Xiu-ge, you..."
"We'll talk about it later."
Fang Xiu interrupted Zhao Hao, hung up the phone, and turned it off again.
He planned to go into Qingshan Mental Hospital to find out what was going on. Naturally, he couldn't let his phone ring at a crucial moment like in the movies, causing unnecessary trouble.
Fang Xiu walked straight toward the main gate of Qingshan Mental Hospital.
The gate was gloomy and dilapidated, and with the dark sky, it resembled a giant, man-eating maw, which was quite terrifying.
But this hardly aroused Fang Xiu's fear, or rather, he seemed to have lost all sense of fear.
Whenever he encounters something strange, his first emotions are always anger, hatred, and even excitement.
There will be no fear.
Tap tap tap...
The only sound was Fang Xiu's footsteps in the silence.
But the next second, thud!
Fang Xiu crashed heavily into the air, his face stinging.
"An invisible wall?"
He stood at the gate and walked in, but it seemed as if there was a wall blocking his way.
He reached out to touch it, and felt a cold, rough texture.
"This isn't an invisible wall; there's a real wall, just one that's not visible. Does that mean we can't enter this mental hospital?"
Fang Xiu refused to believe in superstition. Like a blind man, he groped his way along the invisible wall, trying to find the entrance.
"Xiao Fang, what are you doing over there? Is this the latest performance art?" A slightly teasing voice came from the side.
Fang Xiu felt a slight stirring in his heart, but his face remained completely still.
Having been killed by his wife multiple times, he had long since developed the ability to remain unmoved. In such a bizarre mental hospital, if someone suddenly calls your name, and you react, you might be eaten the next second.
