Chapter 8 Spacetime Distortion? Space Overlap?

Fang Xiu couldn't help but turn his head to look at the gate of the mental hospital, only to find that it was gone.

Instead, a wall was erected.

He took two steps back and looked around. There was no mental hospital to be seen; all that remained was the luxurious and magnificent Bailiu Academy.

Fang Xiu blinked subconsciously, and when he opened his eyes again, the mental hospital had reappeared! But the security guard, Brother Zhao, had disappeared.

What exactly happened?

He stared intently at the Qingshan Mental Hospital.

The next moment, a strange scene unfolded. Bailiu Academy began to slowly appear, like a fade-in and fade-out in a movie. First, it was a blurry image, then it solidified, and the color gradually became thicker.

Strangely enough, Aoyama Mental Hospital is also located there!

The two buildings seemed to overlap.

Spacetime distortion? Spatial overlap?

At this moment, Fang Xiu felt as if his eyes were playing tricks on him, seeing double images everywhere, all of which were overlaps between the mental hospital and Bailiu Academy.

He changed his position and reached out to touch it, but his palm passed through the wall of the mental hospital and only stopped when it touched the wall of Bailiu Academy.

At that moment, I made a judgment: this mental hospital was probably like those other strange places—an illusion that could only be seen and could only be accessed under certain conditions.

This place is still Bailiu Academy, and the mental hospital seems to be projected onto Bailiu Academy like a holographic projection.

Fang Xiu then lost interest in finding Wu Dahai; he wanted to quickly uncover the secrets of the mental hospital.

Why are all the other creatures eerie living beings, but this is the only eerie building?

"Hey, Fang, why did you just leave without saying anything?"

The voice of security guard Brother Zhao came from behind, but Fang Xiu ignored it, his mind completely focused on the mental hospital.

He walked slowly because the two buildings overlapped so much that he sometimes couldn't tell which was the illusion and which was the reality, and he was prone to bumping into the wall.

For example, right now, Fang Xiu is near the green belt of Bailiu Academy, but in front of him is a dilapidated hospital ward.

Without the slightest hesitation, Fang Xiu plunged headfirst into the ward wall, as if plunging into thin air, and entered directly inside.

The scene before me changed, and I came into view a corridor with benches in it. The walls were stained with dried, dark red blood.

It looks like a scene from a horror movie.

The place feels like a hospital from decades ago, with dark gray walls and gray cement floors instead of the usual marble floors.

Fang Xiu did not take the usual route, but instead went straight through the walls, searching everywhere.

Something horrific seemed to have happened in the mental hospital, as there was blood everywhere, and even bits of rotting flesh.

He walked through the lobby, the restaurant, the restrooms, the activity room... all of which were empty.

He stopped involuntarily in front of a hospital ward.

This ward is unusual; the entire door is a dark red, the color of which resembles the color of a bucket of blood that has been splashed and dried.

From a distance, it looks like the gaping maw of a demon, sending chills down one's spine.

The ward number is 104.

Ward 104?

Fang Xiu was intrigued and stepped out, walking straight through the ward door and into the room.

The room was very ordinary, with only a worn-out bed. In the corner of the bed, a little girl in a hospital gown was curled up, her head buried between her legs, her arms wrapped around herself, and a tattered floral rope on her pale wrist, obscuring her face.

Fang Xiu kept his eyes straight ahead, as if he couldn't see the little girl at all, but he was secretly observing her out of the corner of his eye.

He wouldn't be so naive as to believe that there were living people in this eerie mental hospital.

Even if the other person looks like a human.

The little girl seemed to sense Fang Xiu's arrival and suddenly raised her head.

Fang Xiu immediately stopped looking away, because the little girl's face—had no features.

He walked straight ahead, while the little girl stared at Fang Xiu with her featureless face until he left room 104.

After passing through ward 104, Fang Xiu saw many more wards along the way, each with a number.

He walked in one by one, encountering many strange creatures of various shapes and sizes.

Most of them are violent and bloodthirsty; their first reaction upon seeing a living person enter is to launch a frenzied attack.

Fang Xiu didn't even blink, letting them attack him.

He roughly counted, and there were dozens of similar wards.

This means that at least dozens of bizarre creatures are being kept in mental hospitals!

"This mental hospital must be hiding a big secret."

As he walked, he suddenly stopped.

He was shocked to find that the doors to wards 162, 169, and 177 were open, and the rooms were empty.

Did the eerie creature escape?

He continued deeper into the area, but his path was blocked by a villa in reality. He didn't have the key and had to take a detour.

After taking a roundabout route, they discovered that they had ended up in a doctor's office in a mental hospital.

There was a desk in the room, with stethoscopes and some medical reports scattered on it, stained with blood.

Fang Xiu stepped forward to look at the case report, and his pupils immediately contracted!

On a medical report covered in blood, a few lines of text were visible.

It clearly states, "Experimental Subject No. 128... (covered in blood) Transformation bizarre level 21.64%, transformation failed."

The transformation is bizarre!?

Are all supernatural beings transformed from humans?

Those eerie wards were once filled with people?
