Chapter 6 There is a mystery

Chapter 6 There is a mystery

It was getting dark when a young man got off his horse at the gate of a small but very luxurious house.

The gatekeeper came to greet him, but he walked in without saying a word.

Inside the door, there were two maids in elegant clothes, each holding a gorgeous palace lantern, waiting.

Seeing him coming, he slightly bowed, said nothing, and shone the light under his feet to lead him inside.

The dim light illuminated the tall and graceful man in gorgeous clothes.

There was strength in her beautiful eyes and ruthlessness at the corners of her mouth.

He walked with the square steps that are common among children of the nobility, his cloak fluttering, looking elegant and unrestrained.

However, the light on his face flickered, making him unsure whether he was happy or sad.

He walked into the small courtyard at the back without looking around and went straight into the main house.

A warm and fragrant breeze blew on my face, and the thick carpet made no sound when I stepped on it.

There was no one in the main house, so he turned right as if he knew the way and went into the bedroom next door.

Purple draperies, stronger incense.

The young woman was half lying on the chaise longue under the window.

The bright red gauze dress was embroidered with peonies made of gold thread.

When she saw the man come in, she turned around, held her cheek with her hands, and looked at him with a smile.

When she moved, the golden thread on her red dress shone. She slid down, revealing her shoulders...

The man stood quietly at the door, neither moving nor speaking.

"How's the matter?!" the woman in red asked softly.

After taking two steps and sitting on the chair, the man said coldly, "As the princess wishes! My wife is a commoner woman with no family background! You should be satisfied, right?"

"Oh... You don't look very happy." The woman said slowly, with a hint of love in her eyes. "Didn't you say that the Mo family girl was a beauty?"

The man laughed sarcastically, without saying anything, he picked up the teacup and took a sip.

"Okay!" The woman in red stood up, walked over barefoot, and pulled the man's hand to her waist.

The man smelled a luxurious aroma and touched the resilient branch, but he was unmoved.

The woman coaxed him kindly:

"I know that you found a wife from a small family for me. I am sorry for that. But... is it not enough to have this beautiful body as compensation?"

Then she giggled, raised her legs and sat on the man's lap.

The skirt had a slit, and the man saw that she was naked underneath...

Normally, he would have been extremely excited.

But today, he remained unmoved and said rationally and coldly: "Princess, you don't have to be so polite. Didn't you make a promise?"

"That's right. I will do what I promised right away and I will never go back on my word! But... there are some extra benefits today, don't you want to take them, Mr. Xu?" She whispered in his ear with seductive eyes.

The breath sprayed into the man's ears, tickling... He began to tense up.

Her bold chuckle and voluptuous body kept teasing him.

After a while, he couldn't stand it anymore and started to touch her all over.

"Is what the princess said... true?" He said softly in his throat.

"Of course it's true! But, only today, and only at this moment...if you miss this opportunity, you'll never get it again!" The woman in red chuckled.

"Okay... Then I want the princess to do this..."

The man's eyes were blurry, he was breathing heavily and hugged her...

Liu would make a small noise every three days and a big noise every five days, and most people were used to it.

After finishing the meal, Zhuang wiped her mouth with a towel and asked, "Did my second brother send me another letter?"

"It's still the last letter. It will probably arrive in the next few days." Wang replied.

After hearing this, Mo Yi smiled: Daddy is coming back!

Looking towards Mo Fan, he was also looking at her with a big smile, saying, "I hope my second uncle will come back soon!"

Zhuang showed her son her first smile of the day. "Are you thinking about the gift?"

Mo Bao swallowed the beef and shouted, "I miss my dad too!"

Liu said again, "Sister-in-law, you don't have to ask. I'll just say it directly: Mo Rushong hasn't written to me for a long time. I don't know what he's been busy with in the fields. He might even have started a new family!"

Zhuang frowned, "There's a room full of children, what are you talking about here?"

"The children are all grown up, and they need to know what they should know. I think Mo Rushong doesn't want this family anymore!" Liu said with a sneer.

Zhuang put down her handkerchief and said, "I've told you before, if you're worried, go find him. The third child is almost forty years old, do you still need the eldest brother and sister-in-law to take care of these things? If you think the food at home is not good, why don't you move to Tongpen Hutong and live alone. You can prepare what you want to eat yourself!"

These words blocked Liu into the house.

Let’s not talk about the house in Tongpen Hutong, she rented it out a long time ago.

Just the fact that I move out and live alone, not to mention the extra money I'll spend, my life will definitely be worse than it is now!

"Sister-in-law... I was just saying that, why are you talking about all this? Who doesn't go home for the New Year? But he didn't even send a letter!"

"If he doesn't come back for the New Year, your eldest brother will write to him!"

The third uncle is in charge of the land in his hometown, which is also the main source of income for the Mo family.

When the family was divided, my uncle was the eldest son and took 50% of the sacrificial land.

My father and my third uncle each account for 25%.

That land sounds like a lot, but if I sell it, I don't have much money. I guess I can't even buy a decent shop in the capital.

The income from renting out the property is much lower than managing it yourself.

Uncle San used the excuse that he was in charge of this part of the property and refused to come back.

The daughter of a fourth-rank official actually married a farmer, and the most important thing is that he looked down on her... Every time Third Aunt mentioned it, she would make a fuss.

A round passed and the mother didn't say anything?

There was no mockery on his face, and no contempt in Mo Wen's eyes...

She must have picked up the rules she had learned before, and her movements were gentle and slow.

Hey...it seems that the marriage is really settled!

After dinner, everyone went back to their rooms.

"Fifth sister..." Mo Fan called her secretly, stuffed a small bag into her hand, and whispered, "Gui Xiangchun's new mint cake."

Mo Yi thanked him silently and quickly put it away.

Mo Fan smiled wickedly and walked away with his hands behind his back.

To resolve the daffodil issue, Mo Yi waited until everyone had left before telling Zhuang: "Aunt, the daffodils that uncle asked me to grow have begun to bud. They should be in their best bloom during the Chinese New Year. If uncle wants to give them away, he can start giving them away now."

"Okay, I'll talk to your uncle when he comes back." Zhuang agreed casually.

When we walked back, it was already dark.

Although she was reluctant, Mo Yi still wrapped the narcissus in a cloth and gave it to Xiang Ye: "Send it to big sister. Be careful and don't let others see it!"

Xiangye went to Mo Wen's yard, which was one of the best yards in the house.

"Sister Dujuan." She called softly.

The one who opened the door was Du Juan with a tattooed face.

Mo Wen was in the room, with no one to tell his happiness to. He just sat there by himself, laughing now and then.

I'm so impatient that I can't do anything.

Xiangye came in, carefully opened the bundle, revealing the daffodils inside.

A faint fragrance wafted in the air, Mo Wen took it and placed it on a small high table. It looked beautiful!

Finally, she couldn't help but said to Xiangye: "Go back and tell your daughter: I didn't give her this flower for nothing. It has a great benefit, but I thought of it for her. As for whether it will succeed in the end, it all depends on whether she has the luck to do so!"

Xiangye blinked her eyes, not understanding.

Mo Wen chuckled: "Just tell her that."

Xiangye went back and said this.

Mo Yi was a cautious person and knew that since she said that, she must have a specific meaning.

But...what is it?

I thought about it for a long time, but still couldn't figure it out.

"Beep beep...the car is coming."

"Where is it?"

"It drove away again..."
