It has been one year and three months since I started writing on Qidian under the pen name of Gentleman Dong. If you count from when Dongdong started writing online full-time, it has been two and a half years, and if you count from when I first wrote, it has been five years...

There is no need to say much about the previous black history, and in the first two and a half years, the writing was intermittent, until two and a half years ago, I resigned from my job due to some physical reasons. Only then did I really start to settle down to write. Although the results at that time were not as good as now, at least Dongdong looked very gratifying at that time, and even had a feeling that I was actually a "genius Dong".

I came to Qidian in July last year. My first book was "Food Wars: The Fake Chef" which I had been thinking about for a long time. It was a great success. Although I couldn't compare to the great writers, I did have the illusion of being "the chosen one".

"Food Wars: The Fake Chef" was not long. As the "chosen one", I felt that since the story was finished, I should finish it instead of dragging it out to consume my popularity. I also believed that the next one would be better...

But the reality was a bit embarrassing. The second book "Dimension Forum" was not well received. If it was two years ago, this result would have been enough to make me happy. However, with the previous "Food Wars: The Fake Chef", the gap made me doubt my life for a while.

I even thought about whether to "cut the knife into one piece", but if I think about it carefully, at least when I was writing this "Dimension Forum", I was still very happy.

Although it is a taboo for the author to be self-satisfied in online writing, considering that Dongdong has finally developed the habit of completing a book, he is unwilling to break it easily. In addition, Dongdong personally really likes this book "Dimension Forum", so he once updated it with a higher enthusiasm than "Food Wars"...

The reality has also paid off. Although there is still a big gap with the performance of "Food Wars", the popularity has been rising!

And most importantly, after this huge gap, Dongdong has also figured out a truth...

Dongdong is not a "genius Dong", and he can't be a "hardworking Dong", just a "lucky Dong" who is loved by everyone!

The big sales of the first book are undoubtedly lucky. No matter what kind of gap there is afterwards, the performance of "Food Wars: The Fake Cooking Master" should not be a burden.

For a "lucky" writer like Dongdong, after being lucky enough to have the first "takeoff", although the landing is cruel, as a "lucky Dong", this is the beginning of the real "decisive victory"!

Although the performance of "Dimension Forum" has been rising, it is still far from the "Excellent Badge" of Qidian. Even from the initial performance, it is almost impossible for a work to enter the excellent level. However, Dongdong still has a lot of confidence, because "Dimension Forum" is still a long way to go, and Dongdong still has a long way to go as a writer. I hope that "Dimension Forum" can become an important foundation for Dongdong to become a truly "great writer". I also hope that "Dimension Forum" will not disappoint everyone!

I hope that many years later, when everyone recalls their favorite online writers, they will think of "Gentleman Dong", and will think of every book of "Gentleman Dong", and will not think that any of them is a "black history"...
