Chapter 111 Slipped Away

Amy hasn't left the Mage Tower for more than a year, but now that he's in this state, he has no choice but to go out and seek help from other magicians or pharmacists.

Jarden thought for a moment and said, "Then we can go to the healing station."

"That's fine." Amy had also heard that the Healing Station was good at removing curses, although he hadn't tried it himself.

"I like higher places, the view is better." He said this and let Garden put him on top of his head.

Amy sat on Garden's head. As they left the Mage Tower, a freckled apprentice trotted towards Garden. He looked like an apprentice living in a nearby Mage Tower.

"Have you heard?" Freckles was startled by the green creature on Garden's head. "Oh, what's that on your head? Is it a new pet? It doesn't look very good."

"Nothing..." Garden vaguely skipped the topic. The fact that the mentor turned into a frog couldn't be said casually: "What did you want to say just now?"

"It despises me." Freckles glanced at the frog on Garden's head with lingering fear and stood a little further away from him. "You know those two S-rank adventurers who were so much talked about in Sunset City before.

Magic apprentices weren't really interested in adventurers, but these two were celebrities, so they were quite a topic.

"What?" Amy began. He'd been absorbed in his own world lately, paying no attention to the outside world. But as far as he knew, there were only four S-rank adventurers, one of whom was his childhood role model.

"Your pet is talking." Freckles took a few steps back again: "This looks a bit..." disgusting.

Jarden moved the instructor who was lying on top of him a little further back and asked, "What happened to the S-rank adventurer?"

"That human adventurer is said to have been cursed to the point that even the previous Pope of the God of Light couldn't break it."

Amy nodded his frog head as he listened. This was all old news.

"Now he has been healed by the priests at the Healing Station, and even his stolen eye has grown back."

"Grow back?" Amy widened her already big frog eyes.

"Yes." Seeing that the talking frog was very supportive, Freckles didn't care about its disgusting appearance.

Amy's impression of the healing station remained the same as before - the owner here knew a very good space magician and had the ability to purify magic power, which had nothing to do with healing.

But unexpectedly, the Treatment Station is just like its name suggests, a store that focuses on treatment.

"Come on, get my carriage." Amy jumped up above Garden's head.

Even while sitting in the magic carriage, Amy could hear what people were talking about on the street.

They made up a lot of stories about the relationship between Maria, the Healing Station and the S-rank adventurers.

"Maria is the reinforcement the goblins found for them."

"Those eyes were actually sacrificial offerings."

"Lilith and Gallup are married."

"Lilith and Gallup have become followers of Mary."

A man with three white eyes boasted to his companions on the street: "Guess what they paid? Dragon crystal!"

"Can you tell me the truth?" His companions slapped him. "The dragons disappeared a long time ago. Just think about it and you'll know it's impossible."

"That's not necessarily true." Amy memorized the deeds of her idol by heart: "They once went to a cemetery. It is said that the owner of the cemetery once raised a dragon..."

The unfavorable rumors about Maria have been shattered by reality, and the number of believers, which had been declining, has begun to rise steadily.

Unlike usual, the treatment station was packed. Amy lay on top of Garden, admiring her own foresight. Being on higher ground made it easier to understand the situation.

"Garden, go over there." Amy saw a magic wolf staring at him. He couldn't use any magic now, and it would be terrible if he was caught by the magic wolf.

Garden ignored his instructor's instructions and just walked in the direction he was familiar with.

Just by looking at their clothes and accents, you can tell there are many outsiders here, most of whom look like butlers or servants of a noble or wealthy businessman.

"Please line up one by one." The staff in the treatment station were in a hurry.

"Let me see your High Priest." Amy said loudly, but unfortunately there were such voices everywhere, and Amy's request was instantly drowned out.

He began to dislike his apprentice: "Why can't you grow taller?"

Garden relied on his position as a mentor to not see his expression, and helplessly pouted at the little curly-haired boy beside him.

Garden was already a regular at the Healing Inn, and the staff inside quickly recognized him and asked him, "Are you selling mana or buying crystals today?"

"Neither." Jarden pointed to his head cryptically: "I need a spell to dispel the curse."

Before Eryi released the information about selling the dragon crystal in his hand, the treatment station was crowded with people from all over the world.

Curse dispelling cannot bring such popularity, they all come for limb regeneration.

Prior to this, the only person known to possess the ability to regenerate limbs was the previous Pope of the God of Light. However, his skill had a long cooldown, requiring it to be used at least once a year. Furthermore, using this skill required numerous sacrifices, which were prohibitively expensive, making it unaffordable for the average wealthy noble.

Not to mention that he hasn't been seen for more than ten years, and it's unclear whether he is still alive.

The fact that Gallup lost his eyes has been recorded in the history books published by the Adventurer's Guild, and there is no doubt about it.

No one thought his eyes could be cured.

So when he turned into a normal person and walked out of the treatment station, the news spread faster than people could have imagined.

——Your leg is saved.

——Your hand may be able to grow back.

——Your eyes may be able to recover.

Letters like this were sent from Sunset City to various places. It was impossible for the owners of the letters to come all the way here just for some vague news.

The most appropriate way is to ask his servant butler to come and understand the situation.

Of course, there are people who don't think so.

"Let's set off now." Duke Nelson stood up immediately after receiving the letter. His third son, Cowper, broke his leg in a duel two years ago and was drugged and amputated. His entire right leg was gone.

Although the culprit has been taught a lesson, the price of losing a leg is too high. Cowper has locked himself in the room for two years, and except for occasional eating, he does not speak or pay attention to anyone.

"But..." the servant hesitated.

"Break down the door and tie up Cowper for me."

Duke Nelson was more knowledgeable. No matter what, as long as there was even a hint of truth in the news, he would take a gamble. It would only cost a few more teleportation coins, no big deal.

This type of healing technique has a long cooldown time. If someone else gets there first, you don't know how long you'll have to wait for the next healing technique.

Inside the medical room.

After a series of spells, Amy successfully transformed from a frog back into a human.

The skill of Curse Dispelling is quite special. Elves cannot learn this skill, so it can only be released by Eryi himself.

Although there were many people in the healing station, most of them were outsiders who had heard that Gallup had been cured and came to investigate, or some local residents who wanted to join the church. There were not many people who really needed treatment.

Of course, everyone who came in wanted to see Eryi's noble face and see which high priest had gained the ability to regenerate limbs.

As a last resort, Eryi could only hide away, leaving other chores to the staff at the treatment station. Those who needed limb regeneration surgery would first register for an appointment, and she would then come forward to solve the problem when she encountered a patient who needed treatment.

"One gold coin." Eryi said.

Amy wasn't sure what level of curse he'd been struck by, but he usually faced a hefty extortion. One gold coin definitely wouldn't solve the problem, and the price made him feel more favorable toward the healing station. There were good people among the priests, too.

"Your space law here is good, but I'm not sure if I can open my storage space here..." Amy was penniless: "If not, I'll ask Jarden to get some for me."

According to his understanding, in a place with spatial laws, it is usually difficult to open one's own storage space, which is related to the collision of laws.

"Oh?" The result surprised Amy. He easily connected to his storage space and paid a gold coin.

After finishing the treatment and collecting the consultation fee, Eryi wanted to leave the medical room directly, but Amy pulled her robe and said, "Wait."

This doesn't look good. After all, Amy is middle-aged, not good-looking, and doesn't take care of herself.

Eryi turned around and took back his clothes: "What?"

"I heard you can regenerate limbs?"

"Yes." Eryi had been asked this question many times. Maria knew that she had already written down the skills she knew on the board next to the door of the treatment station.

"Is the story about the adventurer true?" Amy looked mysterious.

"Yes." Eryi thought he was going to ask something.

"Did they tell me anything about their other two companions?" Amy asked expectantly.

"No."

An hour later, Amy finally left the treatment station, reluctant to leave the spatial laws and the washroom inside. He sent a letter to an acquaintance of his, Wood - "Can you make a magic circle that can be used repeatedly for simple life magic?"

Wood laughed when he received the letter and handed it to his apprentice John. "See? This is your assignment."

John took the letter, ignored the sarcastic remarks, and extracted the most important information.

When Cowper opened his eyes, he found himself lying in an unfamiliar place.

He shook his head, remembering what happened before he fainted. His father had believed a rumor from somewhere that someone could regrow his missing leg, and he insisted on taking him to Sunset City.

"No." That's what he said at the time.

He had heard this from his parents for the thirteenth time, and not once did it ring true.

Eight of these stories involved some unintelligible priest who came from nowhere and tried to defraud the donations, three of them were pure scammers, and two of them were about a potion master who developed a new potion, but the effects were misrepresented by the outside world.

Cooper didn't believe that anyone could heal his leg now unless the previous Pope of the Church of Light appeared.
