Chen Liuxiang leaned forward and placed her hand on the back of Gu Huaiwei's hand. Her delicate palm was slightly warmer than a normal human's body temperature. She pulled away Gu Huaiwei's hand covering the QR code and said, "Don't worry, I'm very kind to humans."
"I don't see what's good about it." Gu Huaiwei was indifferent, but did not stop her from scanning the code to sign up.
If He Jiarui is kind to humans, he will not get seriously ill.
Hearing the dissatisfaction in Gu Huaiwei's tone, Chen Liuxiang paused scanning the code. She explained, "Jia Rui is sick because she can't adapt to her new life after the contract. I've hired a psychologist for her, but it hasn't been of much use."
"Since it's useless, we should find another way. It doesn't make sense that her breeder raised her to be healthy and rosy, but she withered in your hands." Gu Huaiwei felt that Chen Liuxiang didn't take good care of He Jiarui, which led to her illness.
Chen Liuxiang sighed, imitating a human. "Seeing her getting thinner and thinner, I didn't know what to do, so I wanted to cancel the contract with her and let her go, but she didn't want to. I could only watch her spirit value drop bit by bit, powerless."
"Did you do everything you promised her?"
"I have already paid her the first year's 60,000 points of magnetism in advance." Chen Liuxiang was very generous when it came to magnetism.
But Chen Liuxiang didn't understand why He Jiarui was unhappy after the contract.
"Hmm..." Gu Huaiwei hesitated for a moment, "Would it be convenient for me to visit the patient?"
He Jiarui was Gu Huaiwei's first business in this dimension. Less than a month after the deal, He Jiarui died. If this were to get out, how would her matchmaking agency continue to operate?
Chen Liuxiang nodded in agreement: "Of course, if she sees human friends, she might feel better."
The two agreed on a time, and Gu Huaiwei would definitely bring Bai Meimei to visit.
In the evening, Gu Huaiwei printed out the more than 60 registration forms she had received and divided them into groups according to the customers' different requirements for blind dates.
After finishing work, Gu Huaiwei stretched, rubbed her sore neck, and then went to the backyard to collect clothes.
He Xueyi sat by the well, holding a book in her hands.
Only then did Gu Huaiwei remember He Xueyi's invitation.
"It's so late, why aren't you sleeping yet?" Gu Huaiwei took the initiative to greet him.
There was no moon in this world, and the place where he sat was just an undeveloped ancient well, surrounded by withered and yellow weeds that wrapped around half of the wellhead.
But Gu Huaiwei felt that he, wearing a white robe and sitting in the wilderness, looked very much like the moonlight falling on the earth.
"Since you're here, why stand so far away?"
He Xueyi closed the book and turned his head to look at her.
"I'm here to collect some clothes and listen to your secrets." Gu Huaiwei stood there. The evening breeze blew up the clothes that had been hung out to dry, and the flying corners of the clothes blocked the space between them.
"Before I tell you, can you answer a question for me?"
"all right."
Chatting doesn’t interfere with work.
Gu Huaiwei walked to the clothesline, stood on tiptoe, took the clothes down and put them in the crook of her arm.
Because the clothes were put away a little late, the fabric was stained with the coolness of the night.
He Xueyi sat by the well, pointed at Gu Huaiwei's pocket, and asked, "There's something shiny over there. What is it?"
Gu Huaiwei paused while putting away her clothes: "Can you see the glow in my pocket?"
To the naked eye, the mirror looks no different from an ordinary mirror.
"Yes, I have been concerned about it since this morning."
"This is a new magic mirror I got." Gu Huaiwei said in a calm tone without hiding anything.
She was telling the truth, but the truth sounded like a lie.
He Xueyi did not question the authenticity. He tilted his head and asked, "Miss Manager, do you want to see my true face?"
Gu Huaiwei nodded first, then shook her head.
She smiled and admitted frankly: "If you show me, I will. If you are as perceptive as you were this morning, I can choose not to look."
"It's not that I don't want to, I'm just afraid of scaring the store manager." He Xueyi lowered her head, her fingers stroking the title page of the book. "Actually, I care a lot about my image in the store manager's heart."
He hopes that his image is clean and friendly. The creatures living in the paradise are all ominous, and he does not want to be associated with these four words.
Gu Huaiwei actually wanted to say that it was not necessary. She did not care too much about appearances. She cared more about which employee could bring higher profits to the store.
He Xueyi waved her fingers, like an elegant painter, depicting Gu Huaiwei's outline through the air: "Miss Store Manager, you have your own little secret, right? I saw that there was a circle of sparkling light around you, and it looked very beautiful."
"You can see those lights?" Gu Huaiwei shrugged. "Honestly, I don't know what these glowing things are for."
These lights are normally invisible and can only be reflected through a mirror.
Gu Huaiwei speculated that these lights came from her sister.
And she also knew that her sister would not harm her.
That's enough.
He Xueyi thought for a moment, her eyes becoming gentle. "Actually, the store manager is very similar to us. Lin Snake, Meow Meow, and I all have some differences from humans."
Seeing that He Xueyi was interested in continuing the conversation, Gu Huaiwei asked, "You are from Paradise. What kind of place is Paradise?"
"Speaking of the paradise, He Xueyi's tone was filled with a bit of faith and protection," Paradise is an inclusive and tempting place. The manager was chosen to be the operator because the paradise has what you need.
There has always been a mutual attraction between the owner and the theme park. I can't describe that place in words, I can only wish the store manager a speedy opening of the theme park and the fulfillment of her dreams."
