Mu Lingxi hurried to the police station and saw Gu Huaiwei crying with her shoulders twitching. Her heart ached and she was burning with anger.
How could her strong best friend Gu Huaiwei, who had experienced bankruptcy, missing relatives, being splashed with paint, and living on the streets without shedding a tear, cry so heartbreakingly?
Someone must have done something unforgivable!
Mu Lingxi locked onto the culprit.
She grabbed Jiang Xingyi by the collar and said angrily, "Did you bully Huaiwei? You bastard, even if I marry that fat guy, I will go home to get the money, hire the best lawyer, and send you to jail!"
Jiang Xingyi's hair was a little messy. He raised his hands innocently and shifted the blame: "Hey, hey, hey, beautiful lady, I'm innocent. I was just passing by. The culprits are the seven people squatting over there."
The seven little hooligans received the worst beatings and took the most blame.
Although they tried their best to argue when they came to the police station that it was Gu Huaiwei who unilaterally beat up a group of them and that they were the victims, the police did not believe them.
Who told them to come in groups, carry weapons, and specifically destroy the street surveillance?
Seeing Mu Lingxi coming, Gu Huaiwei didn't want her to really worry about her.
She pulled out two napkins and quickly wiped her dry eyes, then put on her glasses and brushed her bangs down.
"Comrade police officer, can I leave now that I've finished taking your statement?"
The policewoman who was taking the statement looked tired.
Policemen are also human beings. They are pulled out to work overtime in the middle of the night, interrogating from one in the morning to three in the morning, and they have to force themselves to keep their eyes open. Their resentment is greater than that of a ghost that has been dead for a hundred years.
The policewoman pushed the transcript in front of Gu Huaiwei and said, "Take a look at it. If there is no problem, please sign below.
Once you sign, you can leave."
Gu Huaiwei took the transcript and read it carefully from top to bottom. After making sure that the contents of the transcript fully recorded her thoughts, she quickly signed it.
Pull Mu Lingxi out.
As soon as they were a little further away from the group, Gu Huaiwei pushed her bangs aside and smiled at Mu Lingxi, "Don't worry, I was acting. Those guys got beaten, but I was unharmed."
After Mu Lingxi confirmed that Gu Huaiwei had no wounds on her face, she said in disbelief, "But there are seven of them..."
One against seven and still winning, that's amazing.
"I brought a dagger with me. Those thugs only dared to cause trouble but didn't dare to kill me. Seeing that I was alone, they underestimated me and let me succeed."
Having said that, Gu Huaiwei truly felt that her speed and reaction ability were completely different from before.
Since taking over her sister's job, her five senses have become unusually sharp.
Can hear other people's whispers.
Can see distant places through the wind and sand.
Now, even my physical fitness has improved a lot.
Was it the book "Women's Self-Defense" that strengthened her physique?
Or is there some other reason?
Mu Lingxi breathed a sigh of relief and said with a smile, "Let's buy a car so you don't have to walk at night when you get home from get off work."
"Buy, I want to buy two." Gu Huaiwei raised two fingers.
She really needs a car.
One to drive in the real world.
One brought to the wasteland world.
After Jiang Xingyi signed, he hurriedly caught up.
His golden hair was like the sun, and his white teeth shone brightly in a hearty smile. "Two beauties, wait for me. Everyone's been frightened tonight. How about I treat you to barbecue to calm your nerves?"
Gu Huaiwei decisively refused: "I'm sorry, my family doesn't allow me to play with Huangmao."
Mu Lingxi raised her hand and agreed: "Me too, Huangmao, go away."
The two of them only left him with their backs.
This was the first time Jiang Xingyi was rejected so bluntly by a girl.
It's a bit embarrassing.
"Hmph, eat it or not, this young master won't serve you." Standing under the flickering street light, Jiang Xingyi was frustrated. He kicked a small stone on the roadside and felt angry.
He will have to pay the gangsters the final payment and medical expenses later.
Instead of performing the heroic act of saving the damsel in distress, he sat in the police station for a long time.
What bad luck!
Thinking of this, Jiang Xingyi's delicate face became distorted.
He scratched his hair irritably, complaining to himself, "It's so annoying. Big Brother can't even get the person he wants, and you're asking me to cheat him. How could I possibly do this..."
Gu Huaiwei and her friend went straight back to their rented apartment.
The lighting is soft, and the apartment is particularly warm with Mu Lingxi's decoration.
Gu Huaiwei fell on the sofa and sighed: "I'm so tired, it's almost dawn. I'm going to go look at the car tomorrow, you stay at home and rest."
"I'm not tired. I'll stay with you." Mu Lingxi opened the window, letting the night breeze blow gently into the house. She noticed something was wrong, "Huaiwei, uh...it seems like someone is watching us from the building across the street?"
"Where?" Gu Huaiwei immediately sat up from the sofa.
She went to the window, put her head close to it, and looked out through the curtains.
Following the direction of Mu Lingxi's finger, Gu Huaiwei saw a dark telescope sticking out of a dark room on the next floor.
I guess he noticed this.
The telescope was quickly retracted and there was no movement.
Mu Lingxi asked worriedly, "Is he still from the Jiang family?"
"I don't think so." Gu Huaiwei rubbed the bridge of her nose that was hurt by her glasses. "There are actually quite a lot of people staring at me. The enemy is in the dark, and I am in the light. We should proceed with caution until they show their faces."
She wanted to make more money and then hire back her previous bodyguards.
The next day.
The two came to the car city.
