Chapter 243 The Director's Activities

They went upstairs and came to the VIP private bath room on the top floor.

The last time they came, Gu Huaiwei just took a simple stroll around the hot spring mansion. They followed the signs in the mansion and found the big hot spring below.

The private bathhouse did not appear on the sign at all.

This time when I went up to the top floor, I found that in the originally low-key decoration, there was a luxurious private bath room when I opened the door.

There are eight doors in total.

Pushing open the first room, the light was dim and soft, the room was filled with a faint sandalwood scent, steam hit my face, and the pool water was clear with a light blue light.

There is a small courtyard outside the floor-to-ceiling window, with white sandstone paved on the ground, scattered rockery, cherry blossoms in full bloom, and a few fallen petals floating in through the window and landing on the stone slabs beside the pool.

I opened the second room, there was no light in the room, but the scenery remained the same.

When I opened the third room, it was very cold and the fragrance was gone.

In the fourth room, the cherry blossoms outside the window have withered, leaving only dead trees.

In the fifth room, the water in the hot spring pool is cold.

The sixth room began to fall into disrepair, and the hot spring pool was filled with moss and black mud.

In the seventh room, it was pitch black outside the floor-to-ceiling window. The stone slabs next to the hot spring pool were smashed, with dark red bloodstains on them.

And the last private bathhouse turned back into the appearance of the first one.

There is a bamboo towel rack by the pool, with white bath towels stacked on it. On the small wooden table next to the hot spring are fresh fruits and snacks, as well as an unopened bottle of red wine.

Bai Meimei scratched her exposed wrist and said, "Sister Gu, this room is so dirty. It's even worse than the wine pool in the basement. I don't want to wash with the dirty water here."

After Gu Huaiwei stepped into the room, she also felt something strange.

Although this room looked no different from the first one on the surface, it gave her a completely different feeling.

She took out her sister's mirror from her pocket, shone it into the room, and found that this room was actually even more horrible than the seventh room.

The wooden floor was soaked through by the black water, the bottom of the hot spring pool was filled with dark brown silt, a layer of rotten leaves floated on the water surface, and a few mosquitoes could be vaguely seen circling over the stinking water surface.

The towel rack and the table were missing parts, and the fruits and snacks placed on them had long since rotted away. The surface was covered with grayish-white mold, and the area was shriveled and hardened, with white maggots wriggling in the rotten areas.

The air is full of dust, no wonder Bai Meemie's skin is itchy.

"Once we're done, let's go to the first private bathhouse and soak in the hot springs."

"Yeah, the first room smells better than this one." Bai Meemie nodded repeatedly.

"Shh, something's coming up."

When Gu Huaiwei heard some noise outside the corridor, she pulled Bai Meimei to hide behind the towel rack.

As the footsteps approached, the lights in the private bathhouse dimmed.

In the darkness, Gu Huaiwei seemed to hear a sigh.

There should be only her and Bai Meimei in this room.

Gu Huaiwei stared at the door.

After a while, the phone's notification tone and friction sound were heard again. Gu Huaiwei glanced at the phone and found that the network signal in the copy was disconnected.

The director of the hot spring mansion was the first to open the door.

He turned on the light and the strange noise in the room disappeared.

The director was dressed in a suit and tie, his black leather shoes polished to a shine, and a white ribbon elegantly tied around his neck with a distinct red line underneath. If you ignored his red eyeballs and his tongue, which was strangely longer than usual, he looked like a talented young man.

As he entered, the humidity in the room increased and steam suddenly rose, a bit like a dream in the Yaochi Lake.

"We have an important guest coming today. Keep a close eye on those part-time students and ask them to handle any problems outside the hotel on their own. Don't go upstairs to cause trouble." The director of the Hot Spring Mansion was leaning sideways, explaining things to the people around him.

"Those kids are young and energetic... clacking, clacking... they're hard to discipline," complained the staff member next to him, carrying a bunch of keys. "It looks like a few of them have pneumoconiosis. If any of the guests see us, we'll get a complaint."

"It's okay. If customers see it, they just need to take them to my brother and eat his braised pork rice. Then they won't be able to complain."

His younger brother would chop up those customers into braised pork rice.

"As for those students, have them clean the hot spring in the basement now. The water in the red wine pool needs to be replaced. There's a hair blocking the drain. Find a student to clear it."

The director of the Hot Spring Mansion is a well-known philanthropist in Gray Mist Town. He would hire the children of sick miners to work part-time in the mansion, and then solicit sponsorship and donations from outside.

He is hypocritical, greedy, and does all kinds of bad things, but he cares a lot about his reputation. He appears to be upright and honest, but in fact he does things similar to the director of a library.

"Ka-ka-ka... Do you want to find two more to accompany the guests? We have something on them, so they won't dare disobey."

"No, the infectious disease is serious lately. I heard the library director reported us to a reporter. We need to keep a low profile and maintain our image." He straightened his suit. "When you're out and about, your face is the most important thing. If it gets torn off, I'd rather be hanged myself."

The staff member weighed the key in his hand, responded softly, and went downstairs as instructed by the director of the hot spring mansion.

In order to prevent the part-time students from causing trouble, he brought the students into the basement and locked the door from the outside.

After a while, the famous black-hearted businessman in Gray Mist Town finally showed up. He looked a little swollen, with sunken eyes and two gold coins embedded in them. He seemed to be blind, but he had a very keen sense of smell.

After entering the room, the businessman's nose and ears kept twitching.

The black-skinned bandit in the mining dungeon followed the black-hearted businessman.
