Chapter 43 Lu Chi, Lu Chi, so what if you're my own brother?

Lu Chi sneered: "No need for Second Sister to worry about this."

Lu Qingru snorted and said sarcastically, "If you don't care, then don't care. You're so capable, you must win an award!"

Lu Yuanqing criticized Lu Qingru: "I already said it's just to build up my courage, winning or not winning awards isn't important. How can you, as the second sister, have no class at all? Why are you arguing with your brother!"

Pan Feng was also somewhat unhappy.

"Qingru, you're such a child. You're an international superstar, yet you won't even tutor your own younger brother. As the saying goes, 'Don't forget your roots when you're rich and powerful.' Now that you're successful, you've forgotten how we raised you."

"Mom! You scolded me because of him?"

"You actually insulted me for this country bumpkin?"

Lu Qingru got scolded by her mother because of Lu Chi.

I feel extremely uncomfortable.

Her voice was already trembling with tears.

From childhood to adulthood, my parents have always doted on me, my eldest sister, my younger sisters, and my younger brother Ji Yang. They would never say a harsh word to me.

Now, for some country bumpkin who's only been back for a few weeks, he's actually cursing me?

Upon hearing Lu Qingru call Lu Chi a "country bumpkin," Pan Feng's face darkened, and she said:

"Stop calling me a country bumpkin all the time, Lu Qingru. Chi'er is your own brother! How old are you? Don't you understand anything?"

"Hmph!" Lu Qingru didn't argue back, but tears were almost welling up in her eyes.

The eldest sister, Lu Sangning, was looking at her phone when she heard Lu Qingru making sarcastic remarks about Lu Chi, and then being criticized by her parents.

He looked up and glanced this way.

His mouth moved, but he didn't say anything.

Third Sister Lu Yanxin and Lu Xiaoyue were also there.

Lu Yanxin got up from the sofa, walked to Pan Feng's side, patted her on the shoulder, and comforted her, "Mom, don't be angry."

She then turned to Lu Qingru and advised, "Second sister, don't hold a grudge against Mom, or her dizziness will flare up again."

Fourth sister Lu Xiaoyue also tried to persuade them:

"Mom, second sister, both of you should say less. Lu Chi hasn't even spoken yet, and you're already arguing. It's just a competition. I also think the result isn't important; what's important is that it's a good learning experience."

Lu Chi stood there awkwardly.

I didn't want to talk in the first place, but if I were to remain silent now, it would seem out of place.

After all, the original owner's adoptive mother was speaking up for him.

Lu Chi walked over and said to Pan Feng, "Mom, you don't need to worry about me, I'm fine."

Pan Feng nodded, reached out and touched Lu Chi's head, saying with heartache, "My Chi'er, you've worked so hard. Don't worry, with your mom and dad here, no one will dare to bully you!"

After saying that, Pan Feng glared at Lu Qingru.

Lu Qingru burst into tears: "Mom, I didn't say anything to him, how is that bullying him?"

Lu Chi: [Idiot! You were used by the fake young master the moment you got back, you have no backbone at all!]

Lu Jiyang saw Lu Chi and Lu Qingru arguing.

He felt secretly pleased.

Lu Chi, so what if you're my younger brother?

My second sister dotes on me!

"Second sister, today is Wednesday. Tomorrow is Thursday and Friday. I will be going home at noon and after school. Please tutor me then."

Taking the opportunity, Lu Jiyang flattered Lu Qingru, saying, "Second Sister, you're so amazing, who in the world doesn't admire and respect you? With your guidance, I'm sure I'll get first place!"

Lu Jiyang's flattery was very effective, and Lu Qingru was immediately pleased.

She wiped away her tears and glared at Lu Chi.

Lu Chi mentally complained.

[Pah! Shameless counterfeiter, bootlicker!]

Lu Qingru: "You're the one who's sizzling..."

The family had a late-night snack, sat for another half hour, and then went back to their rooms to rest.

Lu Chi returned to his spacious and bright bedroom, pushed open the glass door, and walked onto the terrace.

There's a champagne-colored parasol on the terrace, beneath which sits a transparent glass coffee table.

There was a vase on the coffee table, filled with newly arranged flowers.

Roses, lilies, and carnations are all available.

The color scheme is also pleasing to the eye, complementing the flowers planted along the edge of the terrace.

A faint floral fragrance wafts through the air.

It must have been my beauty-conscious mother who instructed the servants to do it for me.

I must say, this adoptive mom and dad are genuinely good people.

Thinking about the future plot and how they would be killed, Lu Chi felt a little guilty.

No, we absolutely cannot let this happen!

The older sisters weren't good to me, but what they did was none of my business. However, the original owner's parents were currently doing very well!

Now that I've transmigrated into the book in place of the original owner, I'm bound to this family, and I need to find a way to prevent many things from happening.

On either side of the coffee table are two soft, pure white stools.

Lu Chi sat on the terrace, sipping coffee and listening to music.

I'm thinking about which song I should sing at Saturday's concert.

According to the book, Lu Jiyang was indeed very musically talented and sang very well.

He will probably choose to sing the more famous songs from the world in the book.

For me, it's even simpler.

Before transmigrating into the book, the real world he lived in was a stable society with a thriving entertainment industry, where countless famous people and songs were created.

All I need to do is find a popular song in the real world and sing it; I can easily crush Lu Jiyang.

Saturday arrived in the blink of an eye.

According to the competition process.

Lu Chi, accompanied by his parents and four older sisters, arrived at Beijing Television Station.

Although it's called accompanying someone, only my parents are truly there for me.
