Chapter 12 Falcon Lands, Level One Alert

Chapter 12 Falcon Lands, Level One Alert

A powerful airflow swept up the snow on the ground, forming a white tornado.

The military-green helicopter, like a giant steel eagle, hovered over the small threshing ground in Linjiagou.

The strong winds generated by the propellers blew Lai Tou Li and his gang off balance, making it impossible for them to even open their eyes.

"A...airplane?!"

The highest official Lai Tou Li had ever seen in his life was the commune secretary, and the biggest vehicle he had ever seen was a tractor.

Seeing such a huge thing making a rumbling noise right above my head scared the wits out of me.

Run! Run!

Lai Tou Li no longer cared about any treasures or making a fortune.

All he wants to do right now is crawl into a mouse hole.

But it was too late.

Before the helicopter had even fully landed, several ropes were thrown down from the cabin door.

One by one, fully armed soldiers slid down the ropes with the agility of monkeys.

What they were holding were dark, menacing submachine guns.

That's the real deal!

"Don't move!"

"Get down!"

The soldiers moved too fast.

Lai Tou Li Gang got up and tried to run away, but a soldier kicked him in the back of the knee.

"Thump!"

Lai Tou Li knelt heavily in the snow, burying his face directly in the snowdrift.

Before he could even struggle, the dark muzzle of a gun was already pressed against the back of his head.

The cool touch made his crotch instantly feel hot.

I peed.

This time it was real peeing, a full bladder.

The remaining thugs were even more cowardly; they were so frightened that they collapsed to the ground, covering their heads with their hands and crying for their parents.

"Don't shoot! PLA soldiers, please don't shoot! We're just passing by... just passing by..."

The pockmarked man was crying his eyes out.

"Just passing by?"

Commander Wang, who was leading the team, jumped out of the helicopter and strode over.

He was wearing a crisp military overcoat and heavy leather shoes, and his face was full of murderous intent.

He glanced at the mess in the yard and at Lai Tou Li, who was beaten black and blue and still holding a weapon.

"Is it permissible to carry a butcher knife while passing by?"

"You think you can just kick down someone's door while you're passing by?"

Commander Wang kicked away the butcher knife on the ground, his eyes as cold as knives.

"Tie them all up! Take them back for a thorough interrogation!"

"yes!"

The soldiers swarmed forward and tied these hooligans up tightly, like binding pigs.

After dealing with the group of trash, Commander Wang quickly turned around and looked towards the entrance of the cave dwelling.

Lin Jianguo remained in that defensive posture.

He was covered in blood, and his tattered cotton-padded coat had been ripped apart, revealing the cotton wadding and flesh inside.

But he still stood ramrod straight.

Those eyes, though tired, were frighteningly bright.

Commander Wang looked at the strange-looking iron frame on Lin Jianguo's leg, and then at the triangular bayonet in his hand that had already been dulled.

As a veteran, he could tell at a glance that this was a tough guy who had seen blood.

He is a comrade-in-arms worthy of respect.

"Old squad leader!"

Commander Wang rushed over, snapped to attention, and gave a standard military salute.

"I am Wang Tiezhu, commander of the XXX Regiment! I have been ordered to come and provide support!"

We're late! We're so sorry you had to suffer!

Lin Jianguo looked at the young regimental commander in front of him and at the familiar military uniforms around him.

In that instant, the tension that had been building all night finally eased.

The bayonet in his hand clattered to the ground.

"It's not too late...it's not too late at all..."

Lin Jianguo grinned, revealing a mouthful of bloody teeth.

"It's good that you're here...it's good that you're here..."

After saying that, he swayed and was about to fall backward.

"father!"

Da Bao rushed out and hugged Lin Jianguo tightly around the waist.

Commander Wang quickly helped him up.

"Medic! Quick! Save him!"

Just then, a heart-wrenching cry came from inside the cave.

"Uncle Fairy! Save Daddy!"

"I have points! You can have them all! Give the medicine to Daddy!"

Zhao Di ran out of the house barefoot, stumbling and staggering.

She clutched a bottle of green liquid tightly in her hand (a low-level repair liquid redeemed by the system, disguised as soda).

The little girl's eyes were swollen from crying, and her face was covered in tear stains.

Ignoring the ice and snow on the ground, she threw herself onto Lin Jianguo.

"Dad, drink your medicine! It will stop hurting!"

Zhao Di shoved the bottle into Lin Jianguo's mouth.

Commander Wang was stunned for a moment.

This child... is he the genius mentioned in the letter?

Why does it look so small? So... pitiful?

And what's that in her hand? A soft drink?

"Little friend, your dad is injured, so you can't drink anything. Let the doctor take a look..."

Commander Wang was about to stop him.

Chen Zhiyuan, who had been silent all along, suddenly rushed over.

The old man had been shoved a few times while protecting Zhao Di, and now his hair was a mess, and his face was covered in dust.

But his eyes were unusually firm.

Let her feed her!

Chen Zhiyuan shoved aside the medic who tried to stop him.

"That's...that's a miracle drug!"

Although Chen Zhiyuan didn't know what it was, he trusted Zhao Di.

Nothing this child brings out is ordinary!

In his dazed state, Lin Jianguo felt his daughter's little hand.

He instinctively opened his mouth.

Zhao Di poured the green liquid into the bottle.

A miraculous scene unfolded.

Lin Jianguo's originally pale face turned rosy at a speed visible to the naked eye.

The bleeding from the wound on my shoulder has stopped.

Even his breathing became much more even.

The medic examining the wound nearly popped his eyes out.

"This...how is this possible?"

"He was just in hemorrhagic shock, how come his test results suddenly went up?"

Commander Wang was also dumbfounded.

He turned to look at Chen Zhiyuan, his eyes full of questions.

Chen Zhiyuan took a deep breath and straightened his tattered Zhongshan suit.

Although he looked like a beggar at this moment, his aura was like that of a general in control of the whole situation.

"Commander Wang."

Chen Zhiyuan pointed to Zhao Di, who was crying in Lin Jianguo's arms.

His voice trembled, yet every word carried immense weight.

"Have you seen that child?"

"She is the prodigy I mentioned in my letter."

"That bottle of medicine was just the tip of the iceberg."

"What's in her head is worth more than ten atomic bombs!"

"If anything happens to her, we will all be sinners against the Chinese nation!"

Commander Wang was startled.

More valuable than an atomic bomb?

He looked at the little glutinous rice ball who was only three years old and crying with snot running down his face.

The contrast is too great!

But he believed in Chen Zhiyuan.

I also believe in the miracle I just witnessed.

"Everyone has one!"

Commander Wang turned around abruptly and roared at his soldiers.

"Level One Alert!"

"Set up a cordon within a 500-meter radius of the Lin family's cave dwelling!"

Not even a fly is allowed to get in!

"yes!"

The soldiers roared in unison, their voices echoing through the valley.

The courtyard, which had been chaotic just moments before, instantly became tense and impregnable.

Zhao Di was startled by the shout, hiccuped, and stopped.

She looked up, her eyes blurry with tears, at the uncles dressed in green around her.

They were carrying black pipes (guns) and looked very fierce.

but……

Zhao Di sniffed.

The system said in my mind: [Host, don't be afraid, those are friendly forces.]

They are among the most protective people on this planet.

Zhao Di seemed to understand, but not quite.

She saw Commander Wang squat down, and his face, which had been filled with murderous intent just moments before, now forced a smile that was more like a grimace.

"Little friend, don't be afraid."

"Your uncle is a People's Liberation Army soldier; he's here to protect you and your father."

"From now on, no one will dare to bully you."

Commander Wang wanted to reach out and touch Zhao Di's head, but he was afraid that the calluses on his hands would hurt the child, so his hand hovered in mid-air, feeling a little embarrassed.

Zhao Di looked at this strange uncle.

She suddenly reached out her little hand and grabbed Commander Wang's thumb.

"Uncle...do you have any candy?"

"Zhao Di is hungry."

After all that commotion, the little girl's stomach was already growling.

Commander Wang was stunned for a moment, then his eyes suddenly reddened.

Such a precious baby, and it's going hungry?

What a terrible thing!

Yes! Yes!

Commander Wang hurriedly pulled out a handful of military-grade compressed biscuits and a few treasured White Rabbit milk candies from his pocket.

"It's all yours! You can have it all!"

"Communicator! Contact base immediately!"

"Have the cooks bring out all the best grains! Get ready to cook!"

"Our little darling is hungry!"
