Chapter 148 Golden Light Leaks Out

When evening came, seeing that her mistress was still asleep, Cuizhu couldn't help but come in to wake her up so that she could eat dinner before going to sleep.

What she saw was astonishing: her young lady's entire head was shimmering with gold, more dazzling than the most precious gold jewelry she had ever seen.

Startled, Cuizhu fell to the ground. The commotion attracted Cuiyu, who was also frightened and stumbled back a few steps, bumping into the door frame. Ignoring the pain, Cuiyu's only thought was to quickly report the news to her masters.

She couldn't walk anymore, so she called Qingzhu and told her to hurry to the main courtyard to call the master, the old lady, and the eldest master and lady.

"So...so you said that Miss Seven...Miss Seven had an accident."

She waved hurriedly to Qingzhu, urging her to hurry up and go.

Cuiyu hadn't figured out the situation yet, and saying that her mistress was in trouble was disrespectful, but she couldn't care less about that now.

All the favor and privilege of this entire house rests on the young lady. If something happens to her, none of them will be spared!

Qingzhu was unaware of what had happened, but seeing Cuizhu who had gone into the young lady's room and hadn't come out, and Cuiyu with a deathly pale face, Qingzhu's heart pounded with anxiety.

The unknown is the most terrifying. She was flustered and slipped and fell several times on the snowy, slippery road.

When I arrived at the main courtyard, I was already a bit disheveled.

Before she could speak, Yu Chongshan and Madam Yu immediately recognized Qingzhu as one of the four head maids in their granddaughter's room.

When the two elders saw that Qingzhu was in a disheveled state, they sensed something was wrong. They were so startled that their chopsticks slipped from their hands and fell to the ground with a crisp sound.

The sound struck Yu Chongshan's heart. He forced himself to stand up and asked across the dining table, "Qingzhu, what brings you here? Fuguang...where is Fuguang?"

He wanted to ask his granddaughter if something had happened, but he just couldn't bring himself to ask! He was afraid that asking would bring bad luck!

"Master, Madam, Sister Cuiyu sent me to fetch you and the others. She said that Miss... Miss has had an accident!"

The old lady felt dizzy upon hearing this, and the head maid quickly supported her to prevent her from falling. "What do you mean the young lady is in trouble? Explain yourself!"

Qingzhu stammered, "She doesn't know either. She's just a messenger!"

The old woman tried to stand up twice but failed; she only managed to stand up with the help of her head maid.

Seeing that Qingzhu knew nothing, Yu Chongshan wasted no time. He said to his servant, "Go and invite the master."

"Let's go...go see our granddaughter." He patted his wife's hand reassuringly, "Don't we know what kind of person our granddaughter is? She...she'll be alright!"

These words were meant to comfort his wife and also to comfort himself.

Madam Yu was so frightened that her legs went weak, and the road was slippery. In the end, she was carried to Mingyue Pavilion by a strong old woman.

The two old men walked into the inner room hand in hand, and as soon as they entered, they saw the same scene as Cuizhu. Yu Chongshan immediately waved to everyone, including Cuizhu and Cuiyu, and chased away all the bystanders.

Knowing their granddaughter's background, the two elders felt somewhat relieved upon seeing the scene before them. Apart from being surprised, they were no longer as flustered as before, but they were a little confused about what was going on.

This golden head was more dazzling than gold, and when they got close, they could feel a sense of comfort emanating from within.

The two quickly took two steps back. Needless to say, they knew that this light was a good thing and they couldn't get too close, otherwise they would all take it away and their granddaughter would be missing.

The two elderly people had only taken two steps back when they bumped into their eldest son, Yu Zhongchun, and his wife, Zhang, who were rushing in from outside.

"Father, Mother, how is Fuguang?" Yu Zhongchun asked anxiously before he could even see what was happening inside.

Yu Chongshan glared at him and said, "You better keep your voice down, don't disturb my granddaughter!"

As Yu Chongshan turned around, Yue Fuguang, who was lying on the bed in a deep sleep, was revealed.

"This...this..." The couple took two steps back in shock, then quickly covered their mouths, remembering the old man's scolding.

The glittering daughter took the two of them quite by surprise!

"Dad, what's wrong with my daughter? Is she alright?" Yu Zhongchun wanted to go over and check on her.

"Shut up! Even if something happens to you, your daughter will be fine!"

Yu Chongshan lowered his voice and waved to the eager Yu Zhongchun, "Go, you two go to Fuguang's bedside and feel it carefully. Go and come back quickly."

Yu Chongshan was afraid that he and his wife were too old and might be mistaken, so he thought of letting his son and daughter-in-law try it out as well.

Yu Zhongchun and his wife did not understand their father's meaning, but they still obediently did as he said.

The closer the two got to the moonlight on the bed, the more comfortable they felt...

The four people sitting in the main hall of Mingyue Pavilion were silent for a moment. Finally, Yu Zhongchun couldn't help but ask, "Father, do you think that Fuguang's situation is a good thing for her?"

"Yes, Father, that golden light felt very comfortable on us. We, Fuguang, will be fine. She is not a god..."

Before Zhang could finish speaking, the father and son stopped her and made a shushing gesture.

What Pa Meng didn't know was that the divine artifact they were so wary of was now under house arrest and knew nothing about anything.

“My eldest daughter-in-law is right. Fu Guang will be fine. She’s… she’s cultivating. The golden light is a good thing.” The mother and daughter-in-law leaned together. Hearing her daughter-in-law’s words, Old Madam Yu felt even more at ease.

Yu Chongshan, who had already settled down, was not very happy at this moment. He glanced outside and saw that everyone was about ten meters away before lowering his voice and whispering, "Should we report Fu Guang's situation to His Majesty?"

Yu Zhongchun was about to say no, but then he thought that their arrival had made too much noise, and that the whole household would probably know about it soon, and his younger brothers would definitely come over as well.

It was even less likely that they could hide it from His Majesty and his colleagues who were always watching their family.

Sure enough, before they could say a few more words, Yu Shuchun and his wife, and Yu Qinchun and Yu Mochun and his wife walked in one after another.

Upon seeing the four of them, they couldn't wait to ask about Yue Fuguang's situation. His father's attendant blocked the gate, allowing only the adults to enter, while the younger generation was kept outside.

Seeing this situation, the brothers were all very panicked. They couldn't afford to let anything happen to the Yu family's precious child!

Yu Chongshan didn't say much, just waved his hand and told them to peek inside the bedroom from the doorway.

Sure enough, after reading it, everyone's expressions were quite interesting, especially Aunt Yu, who knew nothing about it and almost cried out in surprise.

However, before she could speak, Yu Shuchun quickly covered her mouth and pulled her into the main hall.

Yu Chongshan glanced at him and said, "Second son's wife, you are not allowed to reveal a single word of what you saw today, nor to anyone else, otherwise this family will not tolerate her!"

After giving him a warning, he said to Shu Chun, "When you get back to your own courtyard, tell your wives what you can say." He figured that with that mysterious and unpredictable restriction in place, they wouldn't be able to say much.

The whole family was alarmed. Yu Chongshan sighed inwardly, realizing that he couldn't keep it from His Majesty any longer.

He slowly stood up and said, "Your mother and sister-in-law are here. You should go back first."

Then he said to Zhong Chun, "Eldest son, come with me to the palace to meet His Majesty."
