Chapter 14: Let’s go, sister

Chapter 14: Let’s go, sister

Xia Cheng can't sleep.

After she discovered she was on the trending search last night, she spent the entire night reading the comments. With her eyes closed, she could almost hear Lin Minghe's fans asking, "Who are you?"

"It's really too hasty!"

She didn't want to log into her social media accounts which were full of inquiries, and planned to wait until the next morning to ask her parents what to do. However, she tossed and turned and couldn't fall asleep. When she woke up the next day, there was black under both her eyes.

At about eight o'clock, as soon as Xia Cheng heard the noise outside, he used the landline in the room to call downstairs.

"Uncle Liu, are mom and dad up yet?"

"Miss, they are already up."

"Please ask Dad to answer the phone."

The person on the other end of the phone soon changed.

"Orange, what's wrong?"

Xia Cheng briefly explained the situation, and Xun Youdong thought for a moment before saying:

"Leave it to your brother."

Xia Cheng nodded lightly and hung up the phone, feeling a little discouraged. When she encountered problems that she couldn't solve, she subconsciously turned to her parents, and her father asked Xun Sheng to solve the problem. They seemed to trust Xun Sheng very much.

She leaned against the bed and thought for a while, until the servant brought breakfast, then she spoke:

"Can you please let my brother come over for a moment?"

Xun Sheng arrived twenty minutes later. He had just finished his morning run and was covered in moisture. His sportswear was soaked and his hair was a little messy. He didn't enter the room but just stood at the door.

Xia Cheng rarely saw Xun Sheng wearing casual clothes or sportswear. After looking at him for a few more seconds, she finally managed to move her eyes away from the large muscles on his chest.

"Brother, do you have an extra cell phone?"

"Yes, I'll ask someone to bring it to you later."

He didn't even care why Xia Cheng wanted it.

"The hot search..."

"Dad just told me, don't worry, it's easy to handle."

Xun Sheng quickly had someone bring over an old cell phone. Although it was said to be old, it was actually almost as good as a new one. There was not a single scratch on the screen, and there was not a single photo in the album.

Xia Cheng inserted his card and downloaded a few apps. After logging into his account, he was bombarded with a series of messages.

In addition to the information in the software, there were also text messages, and the person who sent the text messages was Yu Jingyuan.

The first one was yesterday. Yu Jingyuan probably just saw the news and asked her if she was okay.

After Xia Cheng was carried away by Xun Sheng, he asked if he could go upstairs to talk to her.

Late at night, he saw the trending search and asked if anyone was harassing her and if she needed help.

At the bottom, it was about this morning when Yu Jingyuan wanted to take her to a massage parlor, saying it was run by a friend and many athletes went there, and he was also experienced in treating sprains.

Yu Jingyuan's sense of responsibility far exceeded Xia Cheng's imagination. She looked down at her ankle, which still ached slightly. Even after applying ointment for a short time, it had no effect. So she simply agreed and cultivated their relationship, trying to make Yu Jingyuan completely fall in love with her.

She typed: "Brother Jingyuan, please send me the address and I will ask the driver to take me there."

"I'll take you there." Perhaps fearing she would refuse, Yu Jingyuan added, "I won't come to your door. I'll wait for you at the coffee shop. You can ask the driver to take you there, and I'll take you there. If it's someone he knows, he'll be more attentive."

Xia Cheng agreed, ate an egg in three bites, quickly finished her breakfast, and began to rummage through the closet for something to wear.

With Yu Jingyuan around, she had to wear a skirt. It was their first meeting, so it was not appropriate to dress too revealingly. Xia Cheng picked out a light pink floral skirt, put some powder on her face, and applied lipstick. She really looked like a delicate and beautiful flower.

After doing all this, it was almost nine o'clock. Xia Cheng leaned on her crutches and listened for any movement at the door. When she heard the heavier footsteps approaching her door, she opened it just in time, jumped forward, and wrapped her arms around Xun Sheng's arm affectionately.

"Brother, are you going out? Me too, give me a ride!"

"Ask the driver at home to take you. I'm very busy."

"Didn't I ask you to take me out?" Xia Cheng's arms slid down, her fingers accidentally touching Xun Sheng's palms. She pointed at the stairs, tilted her head, and her plump lips opened and closed. Her red tongue was like a snake's tongue, quietly absorbing Xun Sheng's warmth:

"Brother, please take me down. Can you carry me on your back? Just like last night?"

Xun Sheng's brows twitched twice. He looked at Xia Cheng's clothes and shouted downstairs:

"Uncle Liu! Let Xiao Lai come up!"

"Let someone else carry me?" Xia Cheng interrupted Xun Sheng. She tugged at the hem of her skirt and acted embarrassed. "But I'm wearing a skirt, and it's inconvenient for someone to carry me. Plus, I might bump into other people. I don't like that."

What I mean is, I just want to run into you.

Xiao Lai came running up, and Xia Cheng thought her method was ineffective. When she saw Xiao Lai bending down and preparing to lie on him, Xun Sheng suddenly glanced at her, his eyes seemed to be fixed on her collar, and asked:

"What are you doing?"

"Didn't you ask Xiao Lai to carry me?"

Xun Sheng took a deep breath, looked straight ahead, stood still for a few seconds, and was still convinced. He put down his handbag, took off the dark suit that had been draped over his forearm, and handed it to Xia Cheng.

"Tie it on."

"Huh?"

"I just asked him to come up and get the wheelchair."

When Xiao Lai heard this, he cleverly went around behind the two of them to get the wheelchair, and went downstairs first with the wheelchair and crutches. Only Xia Cheng and Xun Sheng were still at the stairs.

"Come up."

He squatted down and did not see the smile on Xia Cheng's lips, nor did he see Xia Cheng pretending to kick him down the stairs from behind. He only felt Xia Cheng's soft body pressing against him, bringing a completely different feeling from last night.

Last night it was the fresh scent of shower gel, this morning it was the voluptuous fragrance of roses, just like her, changeable. Sometimes she looked pitiful and obedient, sometimes she looked scoundrel and pretentious.

Xun Sheng carried Xia Cheng on his back and slowly walked downstairs. His scalp felt a little itchy. He glanced sideways and saw Xia Cheng touching his hair oil, and then wiping her dirty fingers on his body.

“…”

He was speechless. Seeing that he had seen it, Xia Cheng started to flatter him again.

"What a cool hairstyle."

“…”

Xun Sheng could tell she wasn't being sincere in her compliments, but what was she pretending to be? He couldn't figure it out. Was it just his own illusion? That seemed unlikely.

When they reached the first floor, Xiao Lai helped Xia Cheng sit in the wheelchair.

My parents had breakfast and left the house. The driver was driving the car.

Xun Sheng wished he could step on the Wind Fire Wheel and run away quickly. But he was not Nezha, he was the White Dragon Horse, tied up with reins by Xia Cheng and used by him.

"Brother! The driver isn't here, and my foot is injured again. Can you take me to Time Coffee Shop? I have an appointment with my classmates there! Please, it's very close."

"Xiao Lai, can you drive?"

Seeing Xun Sheng suddenly ask him this, Xiao Lai was in a dilemma holding the gardening shears.

"Master, I only know how to ride an electric scooter, and an electric scooter can't accommodate a wheelchair."

"Go get a driver's license. I'll pay for it." Xun Sheng patted Xiao Lai's shoulder, walked up to Xia Cheng, and sighed again:

"Let's go, sister."
