Chapter 47: Xia Cheng and Lin Minghe watch a movie together

At eight o'clock in the morning, Xia Cheng got up and was taken to Chen Kelin's house by the driver. Because Chen Kelin's house was far from the city, it took an hour to drive there.

When she arrived, she opened the door herself using the password, brought breakfast to Chen Kelin, and then they took a nap together.

It was not until two o'clock in the afternoon that the two girls woke up slowly and lay on their sides, checking their phones.

"So tired..." Xia Cheng sighed. She had an appointment with Lin Minghe at five in the afternoon, so she had to eat, take a shower, put on makeup, and dress herself up right away.

Xia Cheng told Chen Kelin that she was going out with Lin Minghe tonight. Chen Kelin put her arms around her waist from behind and asked cheerfully, "This guy looks quite charming. It's actually love at first sight. But you keep mentioning Xun Mo. Is that really okay?"

"I just want to annoy him and make him think that I am a good sister who cares about his sister. In order to be with his sister, he will naturally give up being friends with his sister."

"Wow, that's so bad."

Xia Cheng flapped his arms and legs like a fish to show off.

"Bad women get everything, good women get..." She paused, shrugged. "Get... a reputation that's worthless."

Because of her arm injury, Xia Cheng chose a long-sleeved dress, still a skirt, a white shirt with a navy blue plaid skirt, and a rose made of white shirt fabric on the collar, decorated with milky white roses.

It is a bit hot to wear long sleeves in summer, but the places Xia Cheng goes to are all well-air-conditioned, so he doesn't sweat after walking one or two steps.

She put on makeup, curled her hair inward, and had thin bangs, which made her look a little more childish.

Dressed like this, when she walked to the car where Lin Minghe was waiting downstairs, Lin Minghe almost didn't recognize her new hairstyle.

Lin Minghe leaned against the car door, staring blankly.

"Doll?" he muttered. Xia Cheng lowered her head and smiled, a little shy, which made Lin Minghe's heart pound. When the person came closer, he touched his head and dared not look.

"The new hairstyle also... looks good too..."

"Thank you. Let's get in the car then?"

"Okay!" He opened the car door for Xia Cheng. After Xia Cheng sat down, she glanced at him out of the corner of her eye. Lin Minghe was obviously dressed up from head to toe. When they talked close to each other, she could smell the scent of shower gel. He was dressed like a big boy.

Wearing a black sleeveless vest, revealing his arm muscles that bulged even without exerting any effort, paired with dark blue jeans, Xia Cheng inexplicably felt that if Lin Minghe was in school, he would definitely be a popular choice.

Lin Minghe drove a very low-key car today. The sunlight was a bit dazzling. After putting a pair of sunglasses on his nose, he reached out to take a picture of the front fender for Xia Cheng.

"It's too early to eat now, why don't we go see a movie? If you don't want to, we can just go somewhere and hang out."

Xia Cheng thought about it and realized that she was wearing too much today. Not only would she sweat while shopping, her makeup would be smudged, and her high heels would be uncomfortable to walk in for a long time. So she immediately agreed to go to the movies.

This is exactly what Lin Minghe wanted.

It was pitch dark, a man and a woman were alone. Although they didn't know if it was too late to book the whole theater, they sat next to each other under the dim light. Their hands reached into the same popcorn bucket, accidentally touching each other's fingers. They smiled at each other, and then their hearts were pounding.

These are what Lin Minghe saw in TV dramas.

The real scene was that after Lin Minghe got the ticket and turned around, Xia Cheng bought a popcorn bucket that was bigger than his head and also brought one for him.

Lin Minghe thought again, it doesn’t matter, their Coke is exactly the same, maybe I will get the wrong one later. Then, in the dim light, Xia Cheng covered her face and said embarrassedly that he drank her drink. To apologize, Lin Minghe took the opportunity to ask Xia Cheng what she liked to drink, and he bought another cup.

In this way, you can get to know Xia Cheng better.

A determined smile appeared on the corner of his mouth.

Xia Cheng picked up the Coke and looked at it left and right, then ran to the cashier and asked, "I remember there was freshly squeezed orange juice in the set meal. Can you change it to orange juice?"

Lin Minghe was stunned.

He hurried forward.

"Hello, I want orange juice too."

The cashier looked up apologetically, and the moment he saw his face, his eyes suddenly lit up.

"Are you Lin Minghe? The swimming champion!"

Lin Minghe didn't expect that someone knew him. He felt that he was not that famous, so he took off the sunglasses he wore when driving. Now, after the cashier shouted, a thin layer of sweat broke out on his back. He repeated it again under the pressure of the surrounding gazes.

"You're mistaken. It's not me. Could you please give me orange juice instead?"

The cashier quickly apologized.

"Excuse me, sir. We only have one glass of freshly squeezed orange juice left. This lady has already replaced it."

Xia Cheng took the orange juice and handed it to Lin Minghe.

"You want to drink? Then let's change."

"No, no, no, that's not what I meant."

"You're welcome."

Xia Cheng took his Coke and put her orange juice in his hand.

"I can drink this too." After changing, she pointed to the entrance. "Let's go."

Lin Minghe looked at the packaging that was completely different from Coke and sighed in his heart.

"Reality is not as smooth as it is in TV dramas!"

When he found his seat, Lin Minghe was even more dumbfounded.

Shouldn't he and Xia Cheng be sitting next to each other? Why is there a corridor between them?

He felt like he was going to be petrified.

People around him were chattering, so he sat down for a while and turned on his phone. Only then did he realize that there was a line between the seats representing the corridor.

He saw nothing and wanted to complain.

After many twists and turns, Lin Minghe angrily bought the seats in front, behind, and on both sides of Xia Cheng, and then sat down smoothly before the movie started.

This should finally work.

He happily placed the popcorn bucket on his lap.

Xia Cheng smiled at him and asked, "What movie did you choose?"

Lin Minghe said: "Just buy it casually. There are a lot of them during the summer season. It should be an art film."

"I see."

The movie started soon. Lin Minghe leaned back in his chair. The automatic massage made his muscles, which had been stiff from training, feel comfortable. He then asked:

"Do you want to start a massage?"

Xia Cheng waved her hand to refuse. She hadn't dared to lean back since she sat down because she was ticklish.

Lin Minghe nodded and was thinking about what to say when two girls suddenly appeared from the darkness, startling him.

"Ouch!" He leaned towards Xia Cheng.

The two girls were holding tickets and counting the seats.

Lin Minghe thought to himself that something was wrong, and sure enough, a few minutes later, one of the girls looked embarrassed.

"Hello, this seems to be my location."

"How is that possible? I bought it too!" Lin Minghe didn't pick up the ticket and was anxious to open his phone to prove it. But when he opened his phone and took a look, he wished he could crawl into the ground.

I bought tickets for the wrong movie the second time.

It's really fate.

He could only stand up holding the popcorn bucket and walk towards his seat with some sadness.

"What bad luck." Lin Minghe muttered.

"Lin Minghe, help me get it." Xia Cheng called him from behind.

Lin Minghe turned around and a cup of Coke was handed to him.

Xia Cheng held her bag in one hand and popcorn in the other. In the dim light, she said nonchalantly, "There's no one over there. I'll sit over there with you."

Lin Minghe wanted to raise his little hands to cheer.

He calmed himself down, made way, and looked reliable.

"You sit inside, and I'll sit on the corridor side."
