Chapter 44 Armor Awakening 4

Back in the bathroom, he put on the invisibility talisman and continued searching for Dr. Danny King, but he couldn't find him all night.

It was almost dawn when she returned to her dormitory and went back to her consciousness space. After tidying herself up, she came out of the consciousness space, replaced her substitute, and lay on the bed. Zuo Qingya wanted to take a nap when she heard someone knocking on the door. It was Cathy.

Zuo Qingya opened the door. "Cathy, why are you here so early?"

"Let's go eat breakfast!"

"ah???"

"What do you mean 'huh'? If you don't hurry, all the good food will be taken, and you'll only have steamed buns to eat."

"Huh??? Steamed buns are actually quite delicious!"

"Oh dear!" Cathy grabbed Zuo Qingya's hand. "Hurry up!"

"Fine!" Zuo Qingya couldn't persuade Cathy otherwise, so she had no choice but to compromise.

When they arrived at the cafeteria, there were already quite a few people there. Zuo Qingya thought they were early enough, but she didn't expect that there were people who were even earlier than them. It's true, no matter how big the world is, eating is the most important thing!

Looking at the dishes in front of her, Zuo Qingya only ordered a bowl of Crossing-the-Bridge Rice Noodles and then followed Cathy to find a seat.

"Qingya, why don't you order more? Is there enough for you?"

"Huh???" Zuo Qingya looked at the food Cathy was holding, then looked at her own, and there really was a difference; they were completely incomparable.

"That's enough to eat."

"Okay! Enough to eat is fine."

"hey-hey……"

As soon as she took a bite, Zuo Qingya's bracelet sounded an alarm.

Cathy's bracelet rang, and she grabbed her rice bowl and ran. Seeing that Zuo Qingya hadn't moved, she ran back and pulled Zuo Qingya along. "Run quickly, or we'll be late!"

Zuo Qingya could only follow.

The alarm sounded as if a powerful current had been injected into the entire base. No matter what they were doing, everyone who heard the alarm rushed out from all directions and lined up neatly on the training ground.

The officers, clad in camouflage uniforms and holding batons, stood at the forefront of the column, their gazes resolute and sharp, seemingly capable of piercing through any obstacle. The armored warriors, chests out and heads held high, their faces etched with determination and courage, gradually regained their composure and breath, becoming one with their surroundings.

"Attention, all personnel! Assemble for the mission!" With a resounding command, the entire ranks fell silent, save for the footsteps and breathing of the armored warriors. The officers began calling roll, and the armored soldiers responded one by one, their voices booming with confidence and determination.

During roll call, Zuo Qingya's face showed a mixture of nervousness and anticipation. It felt so good! She felt like she was actually a soldier, though this mission might mean hardship and challenges. But she was willing; as a Chinese citizen, she felt a heart dedicated to serving her country.

"Move out!" With the last name called, the officer gave the order, and the armored warriors marched out of the camp in neat formation. Their steps were firm and powerful, as if they were stepping to the rhythm of victory. The trees and flowers along the way seemed to be cheering them on, and the entire base was immersed in an atmosphere of tension and hope.

Sunlight streamed through the clouds, illuminating the airport runway and casting a golden glow upon the warriors about to depart. The armored warriors stood in neat rows on the tarmac, clad in combat uniforms, armed with advanced weaponry, their faces etched with determination and courage. Their eyes shone brightly, seemingly able to see through all difficulties and challenges.

The fighter jets stood silently to one side, their fuselages gleaming with a cold metallic sheen, as if ready to take off at any moment. Ground technicians were busily conducting final checks and adjustments, ensuring each fighter jet was in optimal condition.

At the commander's order, the armored warriors swiftly boarded the fighter jets. They skillfully operated the instruments, adjusted their seats, and prepared for the impending battle. The fighter jet engines roared, as if proclaiming the warriors' bravery and determination.

"Take off!" With that command, the fighter jet slowly taxied off the runway and accelerated. Instantly, a deafening roar erupted, and the fighter jet shot into the sky like an arrow. The armored warriors gripped the control stick tightly, feeling the powerful thrust of the aircraft; their hearts were filled with fighting spirit and confidence.

In the sky, fighter jet formations streaked across the horizon, leaving long contrails. They pierced through the clouds, soaring through the blue sky, preparing for the upcoming combat mission. The armored warriors' eyes were as firm as iron; they were fully prepared to use their courage and wisdom to protect the peace of their homeland.

Upon arriving at the scene, the armored warriors lined up and jumped from the fighter jets. As they approached the ground, they quickly pressed their transformation buttons, instantly covering their bodies in hard armor and transforming them into mobile fortresses. Their weapons also changed, from ordinary swords and shields to powerful energy weapons.

A huge vortex of light appeared in the sky, and giant cockroaches crawled out of it; there were quite a few of them.

"Is that a cockroach?"

"It's a cockroach monster; it always comes out in huge swarms."

"Kill!" With a deafening roar, the armored warriors charged towards the cockroach monsters. Their figures darted across the battlefield, engaging the enemy in fierce combat. Each collision produced a piercing metallic clang, sparks flying everywhere.

The armored warriors' attacks were incredibly sharp; their elemental abilities sliced through the air like lightning, aiming straight for the enemy's vitals. However, the cockroach monster's defenses were not to be underestimated; its carapace was as hard as iron, withstanding the warriors' fierce assault.

Killing cockroaches was second nature to them; they were searching for weaknesses in their enemy. They engaged in close combat one moment and long-range shooting the next, their coordinated attacks relentless and powerful.

"Qingya, attack its weakness. Go behind it and burn its wings with fire."

"receive."

Zuo Qingya condensed a fireball, seized the opportunity, and attacked the cockroach's wings.

Immediately, a burnt smell wafted over.

Not to be outdone, Cathy used her golden power to conjure a longsword, plunging it straight down into the cockroach's back. After a mournful cry, the cockroach died.

Zuo Qingya and Cathy worked together to kill one cockroach monster after another.

Gradually, the vortex in the air shrank until it disappeared.

"Qingya, the battle is almost over. Let's keep going and kill all the remaining cockroach monsters so we can go back and have a proper meal. I didn't eat enough this morning."

"Forget about food, focus on the fight."

"knew."

As time passed, the last cockroach monster was killed by Cathy with a single sword strike, ending the game.

"Finally done."

"Cathy, you're amazing."

Cathy put her arm around Zuo Qingya's shoulder. "It's because we cooperated well."
