Chapter 213: Tell lies with open eyes!

It is May now. Everything is growing in the mountains and forests. The trees are lush, the flowers are fragrant, and the birds are flying everywhere.

Zhuzhu felt like she was back home when she entered the forest. She happily moved her chubby legs around, looked here, played there, her big eyes curved like crescent moons, and she laughed non-stop.

The old man followed behind and couldn't help blaming himself. He had been busy with so many trivial matters recently that he didn't bring his children to stay with him more often, which made his precious granddaughter feel suffocated.

Tai Jizong chopped wood in the fence, then stacked it neatly in the woodshed. He also lit a bonfire and smoked wormwood to blow the smoke into the house.

This way, all the mosquitoes in the house will run away, so that they won’t bite the baby fat girl at night.

The old man set the trap and quickly caught a fat rabbit. He also happened to pick up seven or eight pheasant eggs. The three of them had lunch, so he stopped.

"Zhuzhu, let's go back and cook. After you're full, grandpa will take you to see grandma."

"Here I am, Grandpa!" The fat girl ran over, holding the half-empty sleeve of her grandfather's shirt, and they walked towards the wooden house talking and laughing together.

Sesame Ball followed behind, falling three or four feet away. It was really that this guy had his old habit again. He had to pee every few trees to declare his territory!

Tai Jizong peeled the rabbit skillfully, and the old man started to grill it. He went to find a kettle to fill with water to boil eggs, while Zhuzhu and Zhimaqiu sat on the doorstep and swallowed their saliva.

There were two little red birds, probably newly married, flying around happily. They were attracted by the aroma of roasted rabbit and landed on a nearby fence.

Tai Jizong walked in quietly, threw two stones, and kept the young couple.

He usually practices darts. His talent is average, but he has never missed when throwing stones nearby.

Zhuzhu clapped her hands with joy until they turned red. "Second uncle is awesome! Give it to my brother, send it to the city for my second brother!"

"Okay, don't worry, Second Uncle will find them a home!" Tai Jizong was hugged by the fat girl and kissed by her. He smiled widely and quickly weaved some thin rattan strips. After a while, he made a birdcage.

The two little red birds lost their freedom, but they can be together forever, and they don't have to worry about other birds interfering after the passion fades...

Zhuzhu gave them a piece of her own snack and stuffed it in to treat them to a feast, as a celebration of their settling down...

The midday sun shines through the trees, falling on the ground in patches and fragments, like scattered gold nuggets...

A family of three, young and old, plus a dog, sat in front of the wooden house, sharing a rabbit and eating eggs. The vitality and the fragrance of the grass made them all have a great appetite!

It was a rare leisurely moment when a villager suddenly came running down the path, panting and shouting, "Sixth Uncle, Sixth Uncle!"

The old man and Tai Jizong were startled and looked over. Tai Jizong replied, "Here, here!"

The villagers stumbled over, sat down exhausted on the ground, and shouted, "Sixth Uncle... Hurry back to the village! A high-ranking official has come and wants to seize our workshop! Third Uncle is leading people to quarrel with them!"

A high-ranking official? Seizing a workshop?

The old man and Tai Jizong looked at each other and their faces turned dark.

They guessed that their family workshop would be coveted by others, but no one expected it to happen so soon!

"Pack up and let's go!" The old man shouted, and Tai Jizong got busy.

Zhuzhu was picked up by her grandfather with half a rabbit leg in her hand, and she didn't know what was going on.

But Sesame Ball started barking and ran down the mountain.

The villagers followed him out of concern.

The old man took a deep breath, calmed his pounding heart, and asked his granddaughter, "Zhuzhu, look at the color of the energy above grandpa's head!"

Zhuzhu raised her chubby little face, reached out and scratched Grandpa's head, and replied in a baby voice, "Grandpa, it's white! Like the white steam that Auntie uses when she steams buns!"

The old man had an idea in his mind at that time. It was fine as long as it wasn’t gray bad luck or black death!

Just then, Tai Jizong had packed his things and came over with a basket on his back.

The old man put his granddaughter on his back and said in a deep voice, "Zhuzhu, there are bad guys in our house, trying to rob our workshop! Let's go home and beat the bad guys!"

Zhuzhu's eyes widened immediately, and she threw away the rabbit legs, yelling, "Go home and beat the bad guy with a stick, and make his butt bleed!"

The old man felt even more confident after hearing this and strode down the mountain.

At this moment, almost all the villagers, young and old, gathered at the entrance of Taijia Village, including the elderly who trembled when walking and the naughty boys who wet the bed!

Everyone had a cold face and glared at the group of people.

There were more than twenty people in the group, driving five or six carriages. The leader was a dandy young man dressed in silk and wearing a golden crown. He looked to be in his twenties. He should have been a young man full of vigor and vitality, but he was so fat that he almost lost two ounces of oil just by walking.

He has a round face, small eyes, and thick lips. He is the ugliest man in the world, but he is waving a fan and thinks he is the most handsome and romantic person in the world.

Occasionally, when a village woman came a little closer, he would stare at her with his small eyes, glancing at her lustfully again and again...

Master Tai gritted his teeth in hatred and tried to persuade himself for a long time before suppressing his anger and speaking again.

"Sir, my elder brother is not here, so I can't entertain you. You should go back and come back another day!"

The young master didn't say anything, but the lackey in blue clothes and a small hat beside him responded, "Old man, I advise you not to be ungrateful. Our young master said that the family lost a new weaving method, and we couldn't find the thief until we saw the cashmere cushion in your house today and found it was exactly the same. It's possible that you are the thief, or you know the thief!"
