Chapter 8 My Third Uncle is a Gambler



Occasionally, he would look up and see his father puffing on his empty pipe, but he would neither look up nor pay any attention.

He rolled his eyes and changed the subject.

"I heard that the yellow-haired people in the north have come to the border to cause trouble again."

Old Master Tai's face was as cold as if it had been frozen. He raised his pipe high in the air and cursed through gritted teeth, "You bastard! Your family is starving to death, and you're out gambling!"

It was too late for Tai Jiye to take back his words, so he could only quickly change his words.

"Dad, I didn't gamble, I was just watching the fun!"
