Nan Xing frowned. She pulled Daisy's clothes and whispered, "Daisy, I think these zombies are a little strange. We should be careful and try not to run into them."
"And the stuff they spray out, I think it's a bit..."
Nanxing didn't dare say it out loud, she suspected these zombies were contagious.
Some plants have parasitic functions.
Moreover, the unique species of zombies here should not only be plant zombies, but also some fungal zombies.
Plant zombies are okay, but fungal zombies are dangerous.
Nanxing had seen a disease called mushroom lung in her original world.
Although mushroom lungs do not mean that mushrooms grow inside the lungs, it is not impossible to achieve in this world.
There must be a reason why that spore zombie sprays out spores before dying, so we must be on guard against it.
However, Daisy obviously did not take Nanxing's words to heart, and planned to get out of the car to check the situation after the spore zombie died.
Nanxing hurriedly stopped her and asked the survivors in the front row to drive away quickly. The jungle was so big that who knew how many zombies were hiding.
She didn't want to stop Daisy from dying. She was mainly afraid that Daisy would implicate them. Daisy could die if she wanted to. She hadn't lived enough.
"Hurry up!" Nanxing urged.
"Okay, I know. Lily, don't worry." The survivor who was driving also disagreed with Daisy's idea of getting out of the car to check. If there was anything, they should at least wait until they met Boss Leir and the others.
The convoy drove deep into the dense forest, and it was not until dawn outside the forest that Nanxing and her friends found the entrance to the military base.
On the 81st day of the game, Nanxing saw the military base of this world.
The military base was extremely grand. In the open space in front of the magnificent buildings were parked planes, tanks, military trucks, guns and ammunition...
However, only weapons were seen, but the Leir brothers were nowhere to be seen.
Nanxing felt something was not right, and so did the other survivors. No one was blinded by those weapons.
The car stopped some distance away from the military base. They got out carefully and took out binoculars to look inside.
Their movement was so loud that it soon attracted the survivors in the military base.
Nan Xing and the others breathed a sigh of relief when they saw the familiar figure running out of the military base.
However, they relaxed too early. There was an incident in the military base, but strictly speaking, it was not a big deal.
At least it's not a big deal for the Rael Brothers.
Ping An looked at Nan Xing happily and ran over, "Lily!"
"Safe." Nanxing also waved at her happily. There was nothing more gratifying than seeing people he knew safe and sound in the apocalypse.
"Ping'an, did something happen at the military base?" Nanxing looked towards the direction of the military base worriedly and couldn't help asking.
"Well, there's a little thing." Ping An gestured with a small arc in a naive manner. Brother Leir didn't let her say anything. They said that they just needed to bring Lily and the others in and not to worry about anything else.
"Come on, Lily, let's go." Ping'an listened to the Leir brothers and pulled Nanxing and walked inside.
"Oh, okay." Nanxing was caught off guard by Ping'an, which pulled the wound on his arm. He couldn't help but let out a small cry of pain.
"Lily, are you hurt?" Ping'an stopped and looked at Nanxing in confusion.
"It's nothing, let's go in first." Nan Xing smiled, and a few tears came out of the corners of her eyes because of the pain.
Ping'an stared at her, picked up Nanxing and took her inside.
"Thank you, Ping An." Nan Xing thanked him softly, with an embarrassed blush on her face, "Ping An, my leg is not injured."
"It's okay, Ping'an walks fast!" Ping'an walked quickly and took Nanxing to the medical department of the military base in just a few minutes. Behind him was the survivor who was as tired as a dead dog.
"Ah, Lily, you're here?" The Leir brothers were lying on the beds in the infirmary to rest. They got out of bed only when they saw Nanxing and the others.
"Lily, come with me." Luo Leier glanced at Nanxing, turned around and left the infirmary.
"Okay." Nanxing patted Ping'an, motioning her to put him down, and then jogged to catch up with Luo Leier.
Following Luo Leier through many twists and turns, we arrived at a room that should be the intensive care unit. Luo Leier didn't say anything, but silently lit a cigarette and let Nanxing look at it himself.
"?" Nan Xing was confused and walked forward curiously.
Nan Xing saw the situation inside through the glass window of the intensive care unit, "Moon Goddess."
Nan Xing covered her mouth in horror and took a step back. The thing she was most worried about finally happened.
Lying in the intensive care unit was a survivor who was turning into a spore zombie. Nanxing knew this survivor, his name was Ned.
"Can those spore zombies really infect humans?" Nanxing turned to look at Luo Leier in disbelief, tears welling up in her beautiful eyes.
"Yeah." Luo Leier nodded. No one expected something like this to happen.
And Ned was not the only human infected. He was the one in the best condition, and those in worse condition were all executed by them.
"Is there no other way?" Nanxing looked sadly at Ned in the ICU. Moon Goddess, why did you make this world so terrible?
"have."
Unexpectedly, Luo Leier admitted that there was an antidote.
"?" Nanxing slowly turned her head and stared at Leir. So, if there is an antidote, why not give it to them?
"Yes, is the number too small?" Nanxing asked tentatively. There was no other possibility except this.
"Yes." Luo Leier admitted it straightforwardly. He looked down at Nan Xing with a deep gaze, "Lily, you are very smart. You should know why I did this."
"..." Nanxing didn't look at Leir, but stared at Ned in the intensive care unit, with his palm against the glass window.
Why else could it be? Because Ned and the others didn't have the value of using the antidote, and there were too many people who could replace them.
But if Luo Leier said so, does that mean Lin Li is valuable enough and irreplaceable?
What an honor.
Nanxing's eyes flashed, but she did not answer Luo Leier's question.
"I brought you here to let you know how terrifying these zombies are. If there are survivors infected with this zombie virus in the safe zone, Lily."
"...Yes." Nanxing's voice was low and very soft.
"You are responsible for getting rid of them."
Luo Leier's eyes were cold and his tone was unyielding.
"!" Nan Xing suddenly raised his head and couldn't help but shudder when he met Luo Leier's gaze.
She knew that Luo Leier was determined to tie Lin Li to their boat, and what he meant by "responsible for solving the problem" was his explicit meaning.
She would take care of it herself, no matter who that person was.
