Chapter 6 Entering the House, Spending the Night on the Farm

Chapter 6 Entering the House, Spending the Night on the Farm

After killing a few living zombies that were crushed by rocks, Nanxing carefully entered the house carrying a steel fork.

She didn't dare close the door, in case there were still zombies inside and she could still run out.

When you enter the door, the living room is on the left front, the kitchen is on the right, and a staircase in the middle leads directly to the second floor.

Nanxing first listened to see if there was any other movement in the house. After confirming that there was none, he went into the living room with a fork to search.

Generally speaking, the medicine box will be in the living room of the house.

I hope so. There are so many zombies in this house, it must have not been visited yet.

But she didn't hold out much hope, as she suspected that the supplies on the island were all sent by the organizers of the competition.

The farm isn't very dangerous, so there shouldn't be a lot of supplies.

After a careful search through all the boxes and cabinets, Nanxing found nothing except three agricultural magazines and four AA batteries.

She sighed, put her things into the space, and limped into the kitchen.

In the open kitchen, Nanxing didn't go to check the big refrigerator first. The power was out and the things inside were probably rotten.

After another round of rummaging through the drawers, Nanxing's nerves were always tense, fearing that a zombie would suddenly pounce on her from behind.

What she worried about did not happen, and Nanxing was very lucky to find a 500g wheel of cheese, three 500ml bottles of water and a 400g can of chickpeas in a cabinet.

Nanxing immediately opened a bottle of water and gulped down half of it. She was really thirsty.

After drinking the remaining half of the compressed biscuit with water, Nanxing sat on the chair in the kitchen and felt like he was alive again.

As it gradually darkened, she had to pause the search and hurry to check that the entire house was safe.

She held the steel fork and tied the two pillows on the sofa to her chest and back with ropes. In case there were any remaining zombies, the two pillows could reduce the attack and impact force.

She searched every corner of the rooms and cabinets with fear. Every time she opened a closed door or cabinet, she was always afraid that zombies would rush out.

However, this kind of plot in the movie did not happen to her, and Nanxing breathed a sigh of relief.

Now the only two rooms left in the house that had not been searched were the basement and the attic. She didn't dare go there and decided to wait until daybreak.

There should be only those zombies in the farm.

When I returned to the living room, it was almost dark.

Nanxing fumbled to close the door of the house, turned on the lighter, went into the kitchen and got an iron bucket.

She used a folding knife to dismantle the two wooden boxes in the space. She had considered the problem of darkness beforehand and specially packed some straw and wooden boxes.

Fortunately, she found the lighter.

Throw the wood into the iron bucket and then use hay to slowly ignite the wood.

Only when the fire came out did Nanxing feel a little safe.

She stared at the fire in a trance, her expression bewildered and filled with deep fear.

Today is only the first day. Will she have to spend the rest of the days like this?

Being in danger anytime and anywhere, worrying about food, water and disease.

It was not until Nanxing was awakened by a wolf howl in the forest that she suddenly came to her senses. She quickly wrapped the handle of the iron bucket with cloth and carried it into the room she had chosen earlier.

This room had no access to the attic, but overall it looked tidy. There were pillows and quilts, and she felt good.

There were a few pieces of young men's clothes hanging in the wardrobe in the room. Nanxing picked out the ones that fit him and put them on temporarily.

After pulling the heavy curtains, Nanxing dragged his sick foot around the room in the light of the fire.

To her surprise, she found a home-sized medical kit under the bed in the room!

She didn't even bother searching anywhere else, but sat beside the bed and opened the medical kit in ecstasy.

There were only five items in the 18-inch medical kit.

An opened medical cotton swab, a half-opened bottle of hydrogen peroxide, a pack of masks, half a roll of bandages, and a first aid manual at the bottom.

Nanxing was so happy that she almost cried. With these things, she finally didn't have to worry about the wound getting worse when she woke up tomorrow.

She quickly opened the simple bandage. The bleeding had stopped. Nanxing took off the condom, but after thinking about it, she couldn't bear to throw it away, so she put it back into the space. She thought it might be useful someday, and it didn't take up much space.

Following the instructions in the first aid manual, Nanxing carefully cleaned the wound again with hydrogen peroxide, bandaged it, and tied a flat knot.

After storing the remaining medical supplies and the medical box into the space, Nan Xing relaxed completely, and the feeling of fatigue washed over her like the sea.

She couldn't help but yawn. She felt sore and tired, and she urgently needed to rest.

However, she still resisted the urge to sleep and put out the fire first. She opened the window a little, took another look at the door of the room that was blocked by the cabinet, and then she fell asleep peacefully.

the next day

Nanxing woke up safely. She first raised her sore arm and touched her forehead. The temperature was normal and she didn't have a fever.

Very good.

She was worried that she would have a high fever after losing so much blood.

She looked down at the time on her watch and realized that she had slept until eleven o'clock in the morning. Oh my God.

Moreover, after yesterday's intense exercise, Nanxing felt unbearable soreness all over his body, and his hands and feet almost didn't belong to him.

However, we still have to get up and search the entire house today.

Nanxing sat on the bed and checked his injured right leg. The wound had not worsened, so he disinfected it and re-bandaged it with the remaining gauze.

Then, enduring the pain, he spent ten minutes doing simple stretching exercises on his upper body and uninjured left foot, and then Nanxing used a steel fork to support himself and get out of bed.

Nanxing opened the curtains a little and saw the scene outside, and his heart sank.

After a night, there were a few more zombies in the farm, wandering around scattered around.

Do these zombies refresh every day?

She had checked during the day and there were no gaps in the fence.

She also saw four or five zombies gathered together, seemingly gnawing on something.

Is it a human or an animal?

If it is a human, is it a native here or a player like her?

Was he the one who brought the zombies in?

Nanxing was worried. Did someone die on the first day?

How can she deal with so many zombies given her current physical condition?

By the time I recover from my injuries tomorrow, will there be more zombies on the farm?

She had endless questions in her mind that had no answers.

Nanxing slowly lowered the curtains, sat on the edge of the bed in a daze for a long time, and then slowly stood up.

There was no point in thinking too much. The house was still safe for the time being. When she searched the house yesterday, she had specifically closed all the doors and windows tightly and blocked them with something, leaving only the front door open for entry and exit.

There is a wall of boxes blocking the front of the gate, so the zombies can't get through for the time being.

I'd better search the house first to see if there's anything available.
