Chapter 149: What a Bastard
"General, you'd better not get close. The plague is terrible. It would be bad if you bring it to the military camp."
The bailiff informed Uncle Yan Ping of the prefect's decision. Uncle Yan Ping looked towards the village. It was quiet, without a sound at all.
This is not normal. If they just sealed off the village, how could there be no anger at all?
Uncle Yan Ping nodded: "Okay, since Prefect Chen has made all the arrangements, I will go check elsewhere first."
"Goodbye, General." The bailiff bowed and saluted to see him off.
After walking out a little, Uncle Yan Ping glanced at Ying Sha and reminded him, "Take a detoxification pill before going in, just in case."
"Yes." Yingsha nodded.
He left quickly. Uncle Yan Ping and his men walked for a while and then stopped and waited.
After a while, Yingsha came back with a grim look on his face.
"What happened?" Uncle Yan Ping asked in a deep voice.
Yingsha replied: "The whole village was massacred, blood flowed like a river, and the bodies were piled up in the valley behind the village by the yamen runners and were about to be burned."
"What a great Magistrate Chen! You guys should go to other villages and stop his brutal behavior." The coldness in Uncle Yan Ping's eyes became more intense, and he immediately gave orders to his soldiers.
These were his personal soldiers who had been with him through thick and thin. Upon receiving the order, they rushed towards several other villages infected with the disease.
Uncle Yan Ping brought Yingsha back to the village again. The yamen runners were a little surprised to see them come back.
"General, why are you back again?"
"Damn you, massacring the entire village is what you call treatment, arrangement?" Uncle Yan Ping raised his hand and slapped him.
Fear flashed in the eyes of the bailiff, and he knelt down in fear.
The others also knelt down quickly: "General, we are also following orders. This is not the idea of our prefect. It was the Second Prince who came to the government office and gave the order himself."
"What a Nan Yifei! Damn it!" Uncle Yan Ping shouted angrily.
He did not make things difficult for the yamen runners and took Yingsha directly into the village.
Everything was normal in the front of the village, but the bloody smell became stronger as you went further back, and the snow behind the village was dyed red.
The villagers’ children and even livestock were not spared, lying all over the ground. They were truly being killed without mercy.
"Who are you!" A yamen runner who was carrying corpses saw two people coming and was about to scold them, but Uncle Yan Ping's spear was pressed against his neck.
He was so scared that he dropped the leg he was dragging and knelt down.
"Hero, spare our lives. We, we don't want to do this either, but, but there is an order from above. These people are indeed infected with the plague..."
The silver spear head moved forward an inch again. He was so scared that he peed his pants and dared not say another word.
Uncle Yan Ping looked at the blood all over the ground and realized that no one was alive.
"Master, listen, there seems to be crying." Yingsha suddenly spoke.
Uncle Yan Ping listened carefully and indeed heard a slightly weak cry. He glanced at Yingsha, and Yingsha quickly flew forward.
When Yingsha arrived, he just saw the yamen runner pulling the knife out of a woman's abdomen. The woman was holding a little girl about two years old in her arms.
The crying sound came from the little girl. When the murderer saw someone coming, he was not afraid. He raised his hand and chopped the little girl's head with the knife.
"Asshole!" Yingsha kicked the man away.
The knife fell to the ground, and before the man could get up, Yingsha had already drawn his sword and put it on his head.
"I'm from the prefectural government. Where did you come from, you thief? How dare you commit a crime here!" The middle-aged man looked up and glared at Yingsha, scolding him.
There was a flash of coldness in Yingsha's eyes, and he slashed at his left arm with a sword.
"Ah!" The man felt pain and covered the wound on his arm with his hand.
"Who the hell are you?"
"Yingsha." Uncle Yan Ping came closer, followed by the yamen runner from before.
Seeing the man being chopped, he hurriedly trotted forward and said, "Boss, this, this is the young general of the Ningguo family."
Chen Han collapsed to the ground, his eyes full of fear, and he kept kowtowing: "Major General, please spare my life, Major General, please spare my life. We are also following orders and cannot do this."
"What's the situation in this village? How many people are infected?" Uncle Yan Ping asked in a deep voice.
Chen Han quickly replied: "To reply to the Major General, only two people were infected."
"How dare Chen Liang!" Uncle Yan Ping's eyes were filled with anger, and Chen Han trembled.
He said that this could not be done, but his eldest brother refused to listen, saying that the second prince had already given the order and if they disobeyed it, they would be blamed.
But why didn't he think about it, Duke Ning was still alive, and what kind of end would it bring to the Chen family if they did such a hypocritical thing.
"Yingsha, go back and report the situation to your father. I will go to other villages and take the girl back to have a look at the military doctor." Uncle Yan Ping looked at the weak child and picked her up.
The child also had many wounds on his body.
"No, Major General. This child is the child of one of the infected people. You can't take him to the military camp."
Chen Han quickly spoke up to stop him, but Uncle Yan Ping thought about it and gave the child a detoxification pill given by Yu Banxia.
"Place her in a tent on the edge of the camp for the time being. You take care of her for two days. Keep her away from the people in the barracks and only allow one military doctor to enter the tent." Uncle Yan Ping said.
Yingsha nodded, and seeing that he couldn't stop it, Chen Han could only close his eyes.
It's over, it's completely over now. If the military camp is infected, how can Shattered Jade City resist the Northern Rong Army?
"Young General, how could you insist on doing what you want? It's all my fault. I was too slow." Chen Han lowered his head.
Uncle Yan Ping kicked him to the ground, then looked at the corpses thrown together haphazardly and closed his eyes.
"Since this has come to this, let's burn these bodies first and deal with you later." Seeing Uncle Yan Ping's order, Chen Han hurriedly called the surrounding yamen runners over.
The fire quickly started. Uncle Yan Ping didn't watch it anymore. He left the village and rode towards other villages.
Fortunately, he reacted quickly and the soldiers from the military camp arrived before the yamen runners could take action.
"Major General, there are five people infected in this village." the soldier reported.
Uncle Yan Ping nodded, and then ordered: "Let's follow the previous plan and isolate the patients from the villagers who have not been infected."
"Once any signs of infection are detected, the whole family will be isolated separately."
"Yes." The soldier responded. The two doctors who came with the yamen runners looked unhappy, but they did not dare to disobey the military order.
I could only accept my fate and follow him into the village.
The remaining two villages were not so bad, with only one or two people infected.
Yan Pingshu returned to the military camp, but did not enter immediately. He just stood outside the tent and told Duke Ningguo what happened today.
Duke Ningguo and others already knew about it, but when he heard about Chen Liang's actions, Duke Ningguo was also very angry.
He then summoned the soldiers and asked if anyone dared to go to the village to defend it.
Uncle Yan Ping was the first to say, "Father, I've already been there, so let me go over and help. I'm immune to all poisons now, so it's no problem."
