Chapter 457 Don’t Hurt Her!

"Okay." Mu Hanyan rolled down from the rock, staying alert all the way. She was actually a little hungry.

"I still have a roasted pork leg, two portions of roasted pig's trotter tendons, and half a pig's head. What do you want to eat, Brother Hanyan?" Mu Cheng took out a greasy pork feast, and finally took out half a greasy pig's head like a magic trick, and asked Mu Hanyan attentively.

"Forget it, I'll eat mine, you guys eat." Seeing his greasy hands, Mu Hanyan felt that most of her appetite was gone, and her appetite suddenly became poor.

"Brother Mu, are you here for a trial or for an outing?" Wu Qiyun swallowed and couldn't help asking.

"Didn't I tell you, with Brother Han Yan here, you don't have to worry about anything. Just eat and drink well. Do you want it? I'll give you the pig's head." Mu Cheng said disapprovingly.

"You are a pighead. Do you really think I am invincible?" Mu Hanyan glanced at Mu Cheng who was chewing voraciously with displeasure. Why didn't she know that this guy was such a big eater before? Did he really have a grudge against pigs in his previous life?

"Forget it, I'll just eat my own food. Brother Mu, you can have something too. Don't be polite." Wu Qiyun took out a bunch of snacks from his bag.

These snacks looked beautiful and had a delicate aroma, which actually made Mu Hanyan's appetite much better.

"Brother Mu, you guys take a rest first. I'll keep watch." After they had almost finished eating, Wu Qiyun said to Mu Hanyan and the others.

"No need, you guys go and rest, I'll keep watch." Mu Hanyan said.

"How can that be possible? You've worked hard enough today. Let me do it. We have set up a lot of traps around here. There shouldn't be any danger." Wu Qiyun said embarrassedly.

Seeing Wu Qiyun's ashamed look, Mu Hanyan felt a little more favorable towards him. No matter what Wu Qiyun was planning, he was not a bad person.

"How about I guard the first half of the night, and you guys take over in the second half?" Mu Hanyan said. She had also seen the trap set by Wu Qiyun and the others. If they had encountered an ordinary beast, it would have served as a warning, but the beast lurking in the dark was so powerful that even she couldn't find its whereabouts. How could she dare to be careless?

"Okay, thank you for your hard work, Brother Mu. Remember to call us in the second half of the night. We can't let you suffer alone all the time." Seeing Mu Hanyan's firm attitude, Wu Qiyun no longer insisted, left some snacks, stood up and said.

After they both entered their tents, Mu Hanyan sat by the campfire, looking at the rolling mountains in the distance, adding some dry firewood to the campfire from time to time.

As the night deepened, the cold night wind howled past. Even though Mu Hanyan chose to build camp in a sheltered area and leaned against the campfire, she still felt the chill.

The strange beast lurking in the shadows still hadn't appeared, and Mu Hanyan was getting a little impatient. It seemed that compared to the strange beasts that had appeared during the day, this one was not only more powerful, but also more cunning and patient.

Mu Hanyan was not in a hurry either. What was meant to come would eventually come. It was a competition of patience. She wanted to see who was more patient.

It was boring to sit idle, so Mu Hanyan took out the snacks left by Wu Qiyun and started eating them calmly.

"Whoosh... Gulp..." In the darkness, the whistling wind seemed to be mixed with a strange sound, like the sound of swallowing saliva.

If it were someone else, it would be easy to overlook it. However, Mu Hanyan remained alert and keenly noticed the unusual sound. A smile flashed across the corner of her mouth: Can't help it finally? My patience must be running out.

Mu Hanyan suddenly had an idea. She put away her snacks, stretched contentedly, and took a nap in front of the campfire.

But in his slightly closed eyes, a glimmer of brilliance emanated faintly.

There was still no movement around, but she had a hunch that in the darkness, the pair of eyes that had been watching her were constantly changing directions, observing her from different angles, and then quietly approaching, closer and closer.

This was purely an intuition, the sharpest intuition of danger that a sword master had ever had.

Her heart suddenly jumped, and Mu Hanyan's whole body tensed up instantly. Her fingers gripped the hilt of the sword fiercely, and at the same time she twisted her waist and turned around, ready to stab with the sword.

"Don't kill her! Don't hurt her!" Xinghuan Qianji's anxious cry rang out in his ears again.
