In the sky, the stars reappeared and fell, but the portal did not change at all.
"Try again?" Duan Tianya's heart sank a little more, and he said to a disciple.
The disciple rushed forward, but just as he reached the front of the portal, he was pushed back heavily.
Several other disciples wanted to try again, but were stopped by Duan Tianya.
"Let me do it." Duan Tianya frowned and walked towards the portal himself.
When he arrived at the door, he saw a flash of light, like a huge wave. Although Duan Tianya was not blown away like the disciple, he was unable to move forward or backward.
Seeing this scene, all the disciples were horrified.
"Notify the academy immediately and ask people to come and help. I will go to Longyan Mountains myself." Duan Tianya's heart had sunk to the bottom, and he could no longer hide his inner anxiety. He instructed his younger disciple Qingzi.
Mu Hanyan guessed correctly. Although the portal leading to the Valley of Strange Beasts was set up in Cangshan City, the valley was actually located deep in the Longyan Mountains. It was just because of the existence of a barrier that outsiders were unaware of it.
Now that the gate has failed, Duan Tianya himself is not proficient in alchemy, and there is no time to wait for the academy to send someone, so he can only go deep into the Longyan Mountains and think of other ways to enter the Valley of Strange Beasts.
"Yes, Master, please be careful." The young disciples bowed in response.
Duan Tianya leaped up, took graceful steps, and flew towards the depths of the Longya Mountains.
At dawn, Mu Hanyan was awakened by a roar of beasts.
The beast's roars rose and fell, shaking the earth and the sky, like wave after wave of the tide.
Mu Hanyan vigilantly grabbed the sword and flew out of the tent. Outside, Mu Cheng and Wu Qiyun both changed their expressions and held the hilts of their swords nervously.
"What happened? How could this happen?" Wu Qiyun muttered to himself with a confused look in his eyes.
Mu Hanyan glanced at Wu Qiyun. He must know something, but he never told them clearly.
Another beast roar sounded nearby. In the distance, below the cliff, two figures ran out of the valley in panic.
"Hurry up, hurry up, be patient and don't stop." One of them encouraged the young man in front.
The young man was clearly injured, leaving a trail of blood where he ran. He cried as he ran, "Didn't they say that crushing the beast repelling talisman would be enough? Why is it having no effect at all?"
"Who knows? Run quickly, or you will die." The slightly older man behind him grabbed his arm and ran forward with him.
But the man was seriously injured, and carrying him made them stumble, and the two of them ran even slower.
"Second brother, I can't do it anymore. Don't worry about me. Just go away." The young man shook off his arm and pushed him forward heavily. Then he turned around, drew out his sword, and looked forward with a determined look on his face.
"Third brother!" the older man cried out sadly.
"Brother, hurry up and leave! I can't run any more. My eldest brother is dead too. Our Yang family is counting on you." The young man said firmly. Seeing his second brother's face full of sorrow and unwillingness to leave, he shouted again, "Brother, if you don't leave now, I will die in front of you. It will be considered that you have caused my death."
The older man's tears rolled down. Seeing his brother holding the sword across his neck with a determined look on his face, he finally said nothing, stamped his feet, gritted his teeth and ran out.
The roar of the beast was heard again, and a strange beast with thick limbs and black armor spikes all over its body opened its ferocious mouth and came crushing down like a small hill. There were still a few strands of flesh and blood hanging on its fangs that were flashing with cold light, making it look even more ferocious.
